Herbie95
I am seeing so many parallels between 2007 and 2017. It may all culminate for the Wisconsin game this year as it did at Oklahoma State game in 2007. The 1997 reunion occurred at the OSU game and will again at the Wisconsin game. I wonder if the AD will be fired the next week after Wisconsin blows NU off the field as well. Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
It's possible, but Callahan lost the team in 2007. Just quit. Haven't seen that yet this season. If the team quits on Riley, you may be right, but I don't think that will happen. Quote Link to comment
Herbie95
I hope you are correct. That team didn't quit until after the USC game in 2007. The 2007 Ball State game (although a win) felt a lot like the NIU loss last week. Quote Link to comment
beorach
What are the parallels? We opened the season 4-1 with the only out-of-conference loss being to a U$C team that finished with 11 wins. 1 Quote Link to comment

So, basically, we're actually further down the crapper than that 07 team... 1 Quote Link to comment
BoNeyard
Yeah Riley's years has made me realize Callahan wasn't all that bad and I remember I use to never mention Callahan's name due to I felt like I was saying a sin. One thing to Riley's credit is he won't lose this team. Maybe it's because he's a nice guy, but his players don't quit on him, and I don't see that happening with this team. The issue is Riley and his staff can't coach the players up to improve them and get them better, so although they wont quit on him, they wont get any better. Quote Link to comment
