StuckinChicago
I cried a hell of alot more when they didnt fire Solich after going 7-7.... and after teh horrible blowout to CU. It seemed pretty obvious to me at the time that the traditional power option had died in College Football, and that the times had passed Frank. Quote Link to comment

ForeverRed
Nebraska Athletic Director Steve Pederson announced on Friday that the Huskers have reached an agreement for a home-and-home football series with the University of Washington. The games will take place in the 2010 and 2011 seasons and mark the fourth high-profile opponent Nebraska has announced in the past three months. Â Nebraska signed a non-conference deal to play Washington. The series will begin in Seattle at Husky Stadium on Sept. 18, 2010. The Huskies will make the trip to Lincoln and Memorial Stadium on Sept. 17, 2011. The games with Washington are the first contests scheduled for Nebraska in 2010 and 2011. Â The announcement of a home-and-home series with Washington comes after recent announcements of home-and-home series with Virginia Tech, UCLA and Tennessee. The Huskers will play Virginia Tech in 2008 and 2009, take on UCLA in 2012 and 2013 and square off with the Volunteers in 2016 and 2017. Â The Huskers' games with Washington will be the eighth and ninth meetings between the two schools, including four in the 1990s. Washington won in Lincoln in 1991 en route to a national championship and was victorious in Seattle in 1992. In 1997, Nebraska used a 27-14 victory at No. 2 Washington as a springboard to its fifth national championship, then defeated the Huskies in Lincoln in 1998. The first two meetings in the series occurred in 1925 and 1926 with the teams tying in 1925 and Washington winning in 1926. The Huskers also won at Washington in 1967. Â The announcement of the games with Washington gives Nebraska games against Pacific-10 opponents in six of the next eight seasons. In addition to the future matchups with UCLA and Washington, the Huskers will meet USC this fall and again in 2007. Â "I know our fans have enjoyed previous trips to Washington, and I'm sure they will be anxious to travel to the Pacific Northwest again," Nebraska Athletic Director Steve Pederson said. "We are excited about making three trips to the West Coast to play outstanding programs in the upcoming years." Quote Link to comment
GSG
Are playing all these WEST COAST teams just because we have the WEST COAST Offense?? Is this some sort of by-law requirement if your team uses the WCO?? Quote Link to comment
ForeverRed
I think they are hoping that it gives NU some exsposure on the west coast to aid in recruiting. Quote Link to comment

AR Husker Fan
Sorry my bad I did not see that this has already been posted. Not a problem - happens all the time. Better too much information than not enough. Thanks for taking the time to post it. Quote Link to comment
huskernumerouno
I would like to go out and see that game but then again if the Huskers were playing anyone anywhere I would like to go see it. Quote Link to comment
