Here are a few stats and key players that Tech will be coming back with and coming to town with on Sept. 2nd.

Offense Per Game National Rank"05"

Scoring 28.7 ppg 46

Rushing 147.6ypg 53

Passing 219.1ypg 66

Total 366.6ypg 63

Defense Per Game National Rank"05"

Scoring 25.6ppg 58

Rushing 133.2ypg 37

Passing 248.1ypg 86

Total 3813ypg 66

Tech returns eight starters from a year ago with six of them being on the offensive side of the ball. They will be breaking in a new quarterback with JR. Zac Champion, RS FR. Michal Mosley, and JUCO Joe Danna. Their quarterbacks have thrown a total of eight passes at the D1 level. Tech's strength may just be in the backfield where they have a trio of backs that each provide something different to their offense.

Defensively, Tech will be in the middle of rebuilding their entire front seven where they lost their top five interior linemen and three of their top four linebackers. Their secondary only returns one starter but have seniors to replace and fill in to start the season.

Tech's kicker lead the WAC in scoring and field goals made per game, they also return their top two kick returners.

Overall, Tech will be in the processes of rebuilding and it will not be a pleasant spot to be breaking in a new quarterback in Lincoln. This team is in for a long game with some many new players in the starting lineup. The Big Red Machine should roll. GO BIG RED!

Nice info. The blackshirts should hold them way under their average. Hopefully they don't torch us like in 98.
