Mavric
Hopefully he gets through it OK. Pre-existing conditions don't help 1 Quote Link to comment
seaofred92
Sheesh. Hope Fred (and everyone else) get better soon. Fred has that underlying condition with his heart, hopefully everything is okay. 2 Quote Link to comment

TonyStalloni
First off I hope the coaches, staff and players recover quickly and with no lasting effects. This will probably shorten our season just at the time D Walker is making a difference. It will be 2 weeks before enough players are covid free and their conditioning allows them to play. One more struggle to overcome! Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Seems pretty likely that Gates also had it. Obviously Yvan was out and word is that four starters plus one prominent bench player also had it. No one other than Hoiberg seemed to have much for symptoms. Hoiberg commented a couple days ago that basically no one had it previously so they didn't have much for antibodies to help play defense. 1 Quote Link to comment
seaofred92
Not Hoiberg himself but figured I’d share: Quote Link to comment
seaofred92
https://theathletic.com/2380523/2021/02/11/college-basketball-coaches-covid-quarantine-frank-martin-fred-hoiberg-scott-drew-rick-pitino/ Quote Fred Hoiberg, Nebraska Fred Hoiberg has had two open-heart surgeries, he has a pacemaker that makes his heart beat and because of his pre-existing condition, he was two weeks out from getting the vaccine when he woke up in the middle of the night last month with chills, body aches, a headache and chest tightness. Hoiberg, 48, took some meds, woke up feeling better — he hoped he had eaten something bad or had a bug — and he headed in for his daily COVID-19 test. As he was driving home, he got the call he’d tested positive. 1 Quote Link to comment
