HuskerFowler
I know Wilbon wants to play the hat game on signing day. If Avery cancels his visit we will know for sure MW is coming here. Don't see us taking both, that would be a very crowded RB room. You would think he would let the coaches know soon so his spot doesn't get taken by Avery. Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
@NateClouse: #Huskers add one more to their official visit list for this weekend. Gretna, Neb. commit Mick Stoltenberg. http://t.co/Vbczcx6e9Y ($) Quote Link to comment
xkbubo
Got a commit from WR Glenn Irons http://nebraska.247sports.com/Article/Nebraska-gets-a-commit-from-WR-Glenn-Irons-173457 Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
Looking at the list of official visitors, something that jumps out to me is the number that are currently committed to Nebraska (23 commits of 44 visitors, 52%). The numbers go up a little if you include all that have committed, even those that have subsequently decommitted, i.e., Waz, Clinkscales, and Slade (26 commits of 44 visitors, 59%). This does not include the four that are currently on an official this weekend at Nebraska, all which have been thought to be highly likely to commit as of recent. Also, of the 44 that visited, four have not committed anywhere yet (though only two are still considered possibilities, i.e., Frison and Brown, both which are also considering ASU). Here is the official visitor list: http://nebraska.247sports.com/Season/2014-Football/Visits We say getting them on campus is critical to the recruiting game. This just confirms that line of thought, especially if you consider the number of offers that have gone out (~350), and the fact that only one recruit, Jason Hall, has committed this year who did not take a visit at some point (unofficial or official). In that department, we are 1 commit of ~306 offers. I will concede that the data could be skewed because if a recruit takes an official, chances are his interest is already rather high. This is also evident in the number of guys that take unofficials, visiting on their own dime (which shows they are highly interested), who eventually get a Nebraska offer (13 commits of 19 visitors, 68%). 2014 Unofficials (I compiled this list from Jr Day, BRW, and game visitors, so may be incomplete): K Drew Brown - N OG Tanner Farmer - N WR Monte Harrison - N OT Nick Gates - N TE Freed Akinmoldun - N ATH Demornay Pierson-El - N CB Trai Mosley - N OG DJ Foster - N S Luke Gifford - N OL Mick Stoltenberg - N DT Peyton Newell - N RB Austin Rose - N (walk-on) LB Garrett Poppen -N (walk-on) WR TV Williams - Kentucky DE Billy Hirschfield - Wisconsin OT Brian Wallace - Arkansas RB Jonathan Hilliman - Boston College DE Harrison Phillips - Stanford (Late Nebraska offer) QB Matthew Jordan - Georgia Tech (Darlington committed during Jordan's visit) ATH Justin Jackson - Northwestern (No Nebraska offer) QB Easton Stick - ND St (No Nebraska offer) CB Logan Cheadle - Mizzou (No Nebraska offer) ATH Kenzo Cotton - (No Nebraska offer) ATH Clay Fisher - SD St (No Nebraska offer) ATH RJ Uzendowski - ND St (No Nebraska offer) LB Henry McGrew - Illinois (No Nebraska offer) ATH Trey Carr - SD St (No Nebraska offer) S Isaiah Santos - (No Nebraska offer) ATH Makiah Slade - SD St (No Nebraska offer) Zach Singer - Kent St (No Nebraska offer) Quote Link to comment

Mavric
Great work, Sker. Blackwood ended up at USF, by the way. The Michigan St. crew looks to be a really nice group. Would have been really great if we could have kept Waz. Quote Link to comment

RedDenver
Highlights that winning or losing the game a recruit visits for is not a big factor in if they sign. Quote Link to comment
