What happens with Foles in Philly?

He’s definitely staying put.

Orthopedic Surgeon: Carson Wentz’s Injury Is ‘Worrisome’ - CBS Philly “This is an ACL plus 2,” Dr. Kelly told the 94WIP Morning Show on Tuesday. “This is an RG3 equivalent folks. This is worrisome.“This kid, God bless him, is probably going to be brace dependent – like RG3 was – the rest of his career,” said Dr. Kelly.

Michael Bennett (and potentially Richard Sherman?) losing his place in the organization because his vocal social justice-oriented personality was considered a distraction is everything the NFL is and aspires to be.

Judging by what they got for him, not many teams were looking to add Bennett.

I am not as big of a fan of Bennett after the video surfaced that showed he didnt give cops an option and yet made it sound like he was racially sterotyped, I also think that people that tell any athlete to keep their mouth shut and just play the game dont get it.

Plenty of athletes come from areas where racial profiling is an issue and by them being elite at what they do they now have a stage to help support the community they came from. It would be wrong to turn your back on your community just because the NFL doesnt like the message you are sharing.

If you have a voice and a place to share it, I am all for it. The message gets clouded at times but that shouldnt stop people from trying to get equality.

The Patriots apparently offered a 3rd (I'm surprised they didn't take that one). Seems like there was interest, but on top of being a distraction the guy is what, 32, after all...

To be outspoken is to become a distraction in a rigid system that must be managed, or purged. I think that's kind of an unfortunate reality but it's how it is. The NFL prizes the keep your head down mentality, internally. Players who get too activist-y don't have enough focus on what's really important, the success of The Team. The Patriot Way, and all that. Something I've seriously soured on.

If I were a Vikings fan I'd be pissed at the thought of replacing Keenum with Cousins.  If that happens whoever lands Keenum will have a top NFL QB on their hands imo.

Yeah, and speaking of that, Josh Rosen is another timely example of what osrts of things the NFL really takes seriously as transgressions (social activism). Really good op-ed here: https://theundefeated.com/features/josh-rosen-ucla-quarterback-gets-a-taste-of-what-outspoken-black-athletes-experience-all-the-time/

Vikings set to sign Kirk Cousins/ 3 year 84 million(all guaranteed)

As a Viking fan, I am on-board. No i dont think Cousins has proven he can win a big game but I do believe he is a top 10 NFL QB and a step above what we have had.

Bears have made some nice additions as well.
