  1. Eric Martin is a vicious vicious man. That looked painful.
  2. Patterson had been to SMU multiple times to teach them how to build a program the way TCU did. That being said Patterson told reporters he wouldn't step foot on that campus ever again for anything other than a game. June Jones pissed him off royally. I guess it is one of the side affects of helping your rival.
  3. Nebraska featured "NU" on their helmets in 1967. Northwestern first featured "NU" on their helmet in 1968.
  4. Should General Washington have been fired by the Continental Congress with the onset of Winter in 1776? Which Mike Stoops win would equate to Washington winning the Battle of Boston? Also Washington knew how the keep his "coordinators" Stuben never left Washington for possibly greener pastures like Mike's brother did in '09. Yet another history fact Washington has a record of 7-7-1(that's not even counting that he won the war.) Stoops was 41-50 at Arizona and never won his conference. Lets remember that Washington was playing the military equivalent of the '95 Huskers every single battle. How about we don't compare Mike Stoops to George Washington anymore.
  5. There is loyalty and there is not doing your job well. 1-5 is failing at his job. If I was only successful at my job one out of every six times I wouldn't expect my employer to be "loyal" to me.
  6. If Nebraska had half the high school talent as states in the south I would be at a game every Friday.
  7. ** Especially valid because it is Minnesota. It's not like the guy walked into a situation like Gene Chizik did at Auburn or Muschamp at Florida. It's freaking Minnesota. Vince Lombardi would need several years to turn that team around. That is what I mean 4-5 years the program still wont be at a bowl level, but they should at least look like they belong on the same field as the other team. A 4 year judgement worked for Callahan because if you can't get it done at Nebraska after 4 years you will never get it done. At Minnesota that isn't the case. They more than likely wont make a bowl in the next at least 4 years so if they fire Kill after that they end up right back where they started in 2011. At least this way they give a guy that has proven to turn really bad programs into winners a decent chance.
  8. I like it. If they really believe in the guy give him a real chance to make a change. No one can turn that program around quickly and moving from coach to coach will do nothing for the program.
  9. ^^This is a great point. They went too far by taking the MOV completely out. I wonder if it should have a sliding scale compared to the team that they beat over all ranking. MOV/Ranking Example: Beat the worst team by 31. 31/120 gets you .258 because that is really unimpressive. Beat Nebraska by 31. 31/14 gets you 2.214 Divide the final number by what ever power of 10 you need to balance it with the other factors the computers use. Smoke New Mexico who cares. Smoke Nebraska earn some credit.
  10. I actually think it makes sense. Their defense is very strong against the pro style offenses, but struggled against the one spread team that they played. Michigan St's defensive line is geared to rush the passer, Nebraska's unique running game could create problems for them.
  11. Apparently Tech doesn't like their kicking game.
  12. Yep could of been up by 3 scores here.
