  1. I finally watched the game last night, and here's my take: All the criticisms about the defensive scheme are warranted, and that one is easy to nitpick. But what's more troubling to me is the lack of anything productive from our offense. There are so many moving parts with this offense, and that's where there is a lot of inconsistency. Simpler is better. After this season, Beck can take a hike because he's proved that he has no clue and no ability to develop our QBs. Tommy is...

      I'll put my thoughts on the OL like this: Every season prior to this, I assumed our OL play was good because our overall offense was (generally) pretty good. Now that I've actually critically watch the OL play and broke down some film... it ain't pretty. At all.

      This is why I don't fault the defense--after a while, even the best NFL defense will get soft after being punched over and over again. That's why the '09 defense was such an aberration.

       

      We fix the offense, we fix the team. Special teams and Defense were fine up until the Purdue game.

      I agree. One of my observations, and a few others have mentioned it also, is the defense might have quit on the offense.
