  1. Maybe they are thinkin about TE or DE for him, who knows. I agree though that we could get a walk-on from Nebraska for FB like Legate has been the last 4 yrs, which is why I think the coaches may be thinking a different position for him.
  2. What, having one Lance Thorell out there isn't good enough for ya?
  3. I'm not sure how much you watched of OSU this year, but Miller became the leader of the offense by mid-season, and he's only going to improve his passing ability, as well as the mental aspect of his game in the next couple years.
  4. If you would have said Diggs too i would have given you a +1. You were soooo close;) You guys really get that vibe from Lambert? I guess I don't but I dont follow it all that closely. Would possibly be the best pickup of the class IMO. With his size, he could be an immediate starter here.
  5. I'm glad you love it because it drives me nuts at times. Just look at it this way: It's better that we love being in the B1G and embrace it than to hate it and bash it all the time. But hey, I'm a glass-half-full-but-will-estimate-it-at-three-quarters-full kinda guy
  6. I agree with you. At first, the idea of playing Arkansas kind of scared me, but for some reason I've turned optimistic. Not sure if we will win, but I would think it would be a good game.
  7. you're freaking out for no reason. We can beat these teams, even with Urban Meyer at OSU
  8. Absolutely. The B1G has good coaches, but after Tressel was ousted, the B1G no longer had any proven elite coaches that can take teams to the national championship and win it. Now the conference adds Urban Meyer, and I have no doubt in my mind, the conference will soon have an elite team winning national championships... Nebraska.
  9. not sure why he would leave Nebraska for UCLA, unless he really really hates it here...
  10. This is the game I am actually hoping for the most, though I would love to play vs Georgia or SC too. Could be a good matchup and a tough win, but Bo usually has his teams at a high level for the bowl games, with the exception of last year. Intriguing matchup to say the least.
  11. Scott Tolzein. He was a good QB. I have no idea what Wisconsin has on the shelf for next year, but I cant see them being that good next year considering Ball, Wilson, and Toon are gone. I guess we will see though... As for Nebraska, I can say this: I feel a heck of a lot better about our defense for next year than I felt after last season. The lack of Gomes and Prince hurt our D early in the season, but Andrew Green and Ciante Evans have been playing well recently, as well as Compton. I think next year we see a deep, experienced D-Line, a couple of good LBs (Compton, Santos, Anderson, Whaley), and a pretty good secondary with Green, Evans, Stafford, SJB, and maybe some of the new guys coming in next year. And we all know what is returning on offense: every good player we have on that side of the ball. Needless to say, I see a good year coming next year, possibly 11 or 12 wins... Who knows, maybe we get that National Championship that we've been waiting for...
  12. Hahaha, so? what are you expecting? A touchdown every possession? Yes.... But in all seriousness, cleaner execution would be nice. I can tell you don't coach football of any kind. Which is ok. Its just that expecting the offense to score every possession is ridiculous. Now if you wanted to say, that you expect them to pick up a first down or maybe 2 each possession that is acceptable. I would love for a touchdown to be scored every play that I call for my football team but, I only expect 4 yards each play, on average. which is what I expect out of nebraska as well....sure we'll have big plays but when we have to punt I won't get mad like alot of people I know will do. I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I won't pretend to know it all because I don't, and I agree with what you are saying for the most part. What I'm saying is that the first 2 or 3 possessions were halted by stupid penalties that were reminiscent of last year, forcing us to punt. We moved the ball all game long, but there is definitely room to improve from this game in terms of focus and execution IMO. We played good, but I just wowed with how we played on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, we played really well, although I would have loved to see a shutout.
  13. Hahaha, so? what are you expecting? A touchdown every possession? Yes.... But in all seriousness, cleaner execution would be nice.
  14. Really? I thought we started out very bad on offense and committed stupid penalties that stopped a lot of drives. Don't get me wrong, this was a well played game, especially defensively. But it still leaves a lot of room to improve.
  15. I learned that Carnes is not capable of taking a single snap...
  16. Well Iowa beat Michigan and they are a better team in most areas of the game as well.....
  17. I definitely haven't got that vibe from him but you never know
  18. I think it was his grandfather Yes it was
  19. Man, sounds like Bo needs to put you on the coaching staff since you have all the answers Umm......this has kind of been an overwelming consent on this board. It is not just hunter I understand that, but the reason Bo has put such a load on Burkhead is because we NEED him in there. I think all 3 freshman backs will be big-time guys for their entire careers but this year they are just freshmen, and freshmen make freshman mistakes. I have no problem with having Rex in there because he is the guy that drives the entire offense. And on top of that, I'm not the coach, so it wouldn't matter what I thought if I had a differing opinion from Bo...
  20. Man, sounds like Bo needs to put you on the coaching staff since you have all the answers
  21. Wow, this kid is good! And so much bigger than everybody else, and faster. If this was a high school highlight reel, this kid would be recruited hard!
  22. 1. Agree, but I think it will come with time 2. Maybe, but I doubt it. His time will come though... 3. Not sure if I would word it like that, but kind of... 4. I think we are just very young in the secondary, and have a lack of talent at every level of the defense. 5. I agree, but recruits will make us better. 6. I think he has learned a lot this year in how he handles the press and his sideline demeanor, so he is coming along. 7. I agree. Beck has shown a lot of creativity with the offense. 8. I think we lack a lot of talent and depth and are waiting for our stellar recruits from the last year or two to mature. 9. Because he was super fiery his first 3 years and that wasn't good enough for most people, so they told him to cool it. Now you see Emotionless Bo on the sidelines... 10. I don't think he would.. Nor do I think LSU would hire him.
  23. Link it or I don't believe you. Link it and I probably still won't believe you. I'm new, so don't know how that link it thing works, go to nebraska.247sports.com look for the thread title ready for a change? welp I'm not buying message board posting. It's just as valid as posting on here. No way. As mentioned before, who in the world would we take THAT WOULD ACTUALLY COME HERE to replace Bo. No one I can think of is a better possible option for our HC then Bo right now. Urban Meyer, Chip Kelly, Chris Petersen, Gary Patterson, Gus Malzahn and probably Al Golden all would not come here. Ha yes a couple of those names would. Yep, I think Malzahn would. Not sure about the rest.... MAYBE Chris Petersen, but Gary Patterson turned down a lot of bigger coaching opportunities. My cousin is a TCU alum, so I know that TCU has a lot of booster support from people with a lot of money. And with TCU heading to the Big 12 next year, he's not going anywhere.
  24. HAHA^ I'm glad you are in good humor about it all. Call me naive I guess..
