who the eff are you to tell me to get over remembering some of the best games i've ever been too. i will get over it when i go the same way the pony express and the model t have gone....until then you can get over it!!! Calm down Commando, don't go Rambo on me. I was just stating that there can be another rivalry game today. You don't have to forget about some of the greatest games you and I have ever seen in person. The one don't have to have anything to do with the other. That was the point.

Why does everyone want to compare every "rivalry game" to Oklahoma? NU v OU is gone, just like the Model T, horse drawn carriages, and the Pony express. Get over it!!! I think Hawkeys v Cornhuskers could become a better rivalry game based on location and the incessant inbreeding between the fan bases.

This. I am just as happy and excited for the win last night and extremely proud of the players and glad they got this win, on national TV much less and knocked off MSU as well. Amazing. But if you were a poster who for the last 8 weeks didn't like Riley and his staff and were calling for them to be fired, this changes very little. To see some posters acting like this is a new beginning and everything is fine now, makes no sense. As GOAT says above, mental errors by our staff almost cost us another game. I am truly hoping this win does turn things around but unless they win out and make a bowl game, then I won't be changing my attitude towards Riley and his staff. He did this every year at OSU and I am not sure trading a coach who got 9 wins every year with a couple of blow-outs for a coach who loses 5 games or more with a signature win is much of an improvement. I think we all need to take a deep breath, dance a little joy over last night's game, and then see how the last two turn out. You do remember that it took a couple of amazing plays by AA last year to seal the "9 Wins" for BO.... We were lucky to win 9 the last couple of years. You haters are incredible. Thank you for agreeing that Mike is delivering at best the same mediocre overall results as Bo and is not a step up. The only difference is less spittle. Actually, I wasn't saying that at all. I am just tired of hearing about the "9 Wins". It was fools gold.

AMAZING!! I am talking about the game and some of you. You just can't see past your own nose, even with this HUGE win. Yeah, did we get a bad call to go our way, yes. Did we have one coming, you darn bet we did. NOBODY was picking us to win this game. A lot of you were thinking it could be a blow out. Yet, the boys find a way, and you still bang on the staff. I hate how this season has gone so far, however, I would take a 5-7 season with the guys playing like they did yesterday, then being 8-0 and getting run out of the stadium the next 4 games, like the last 7 years. Get over your hatred for the staff, because you weren't consulted before MR was hired, and be a fan of the team for at least one day.

I thought he was spot on. The Zone did a poll today and the afternoon show today. Wanting people rank the 4 items in percentages as to what they thought was the reason for the record this year. Talent Mental Coaching Uncontrollable things I think they forgot one very important factor, the fans. I would rank it this way: Mental - 40% Uncontrollable things (injuries) - 20% Coaching - 15% Fans - 15% Talent - 10% Until the fan base stops calling for a 1st year coaches job, they will be a factor in the play of team.

Yep, that is the problem. We haven't won a conference title in 15+ years because we wear a different jersey color one game a year. That's it. Damn, that was easy to figure out. Look out College Football world, NU figured it out. WE ARE BACK. Give me a break......

Throwing the ball 49 times had nothing to do with the defense giving up 30 points to that pathetic offense for NW. That is why we are losing. It has been said several times that the defense gets tired, worn down because of the style of offense that MR and DL run. However, in this game we had more plays (20+) in the game than NW and had the advantage in time of possession (15+ Minutes) and the defense still caved in the 4th quarter. Do we need to run more, YES, is that why we are losing NO. It is the defense that is causing us to lose, in fact, it is the pass defense. Our DB's can't seem to stay with their guy or they can't seem to find the ball when it is right over their heads. Stop the whining about running the ball. Starting whining about the EXECUTION of the DEFENSIVE SCHEME!!!

When I posted this originally, I was frustrated with all the fire Riley postings. I was hoping that my post would help in calming things just a little. After reviewing all the subsequent posts, it appears I had made it worse. What I really find interesting is all the new name posters. I have been reading this board for a long time. I usually keep my thoughts to myself, laugh at some I read and shake my head at others. But, the fire the coach thing is really getting out of hand. Even with all the reposting of my post, nobody addressed the main point I was making. Its not about the wins or losses, Its about how you play the game. We, the husker faithful, used to keep that in mind and close to our hearts. Not so much anymore. Too bad, that is what made us special as a fan base. Okay, all you haters..... Ready, set, go.......

If you read what I wrote, I never said anything about being happy with how we are playing. I was talking about the how the fan base is reacting. It used to be about the "boys", now it seems to be about the "fans". The "boys" don't play for us, they play for each other and the team. It used to be about "hard work and determination" now its about 9 wins. Will we ever be great again, I don't know. However, we keep firing coaching staffs over and over, it will NEVER happen.

WOW, now we deserve something from this team. We are FANS!! We don't DESERVE anything......
