  1. I've said on previous posts that was one of the best scenes I've seen at a college football game. The snow was almost magical.
  2. Not even close. The visiting team at Iowa gets the first several rows next to the field on the visitors side at both ends of the field - so every time the Nebraska sideline is shown you would see a lot of red behind them unless they panned up higher into the stands. They did have an extra large group of Huskers in the north endzone, which is where several of the field goals were kicked/attempted, that would have been purchased from season ticket holders and then a section up in the corner at the SW where the students normally are but had turned in tickets due to school being out. Other than their alloted tickets and those two extra sections there were just some random Husker fans scattered throughout the stadium in greater numbers than normal but not to that extent. We were first row north end zone and had a number of Huskers around us. With that said, I wasn't overwhelmed with the Amt that showed up but to be honest after walking outside early that day wearing red was the least of my concerns. I wanted the warmest thing possible.
  3. Absolutely not, nor did I during almost every game in that 6-0 span.
  4. Let's hope for separate reasons. That's good
  5. It's one of many. That's the problem. Just to get this straight, if we win out and prior to bowl are 11-2 (which is a very real possibility at this point), this year was a failure because we didn't dominate in every win and Bo didn't satisfy an unreal expectation on sideline demeanor? I don't think that is what any of us are saying. I'd love an 11-2 season. However I am not going to let that mask what we know is a problem, and that is discipline. Continuing with the status quo will not get us to the next level, luck will run out. I don't see the connection between Bo's behavior and the teams undisciplined nature. It is bizarre to say the least.. clearly this team holds itself accountable for the mistakes: just look at Eric Martin's reaction after getting that boneheaded facemask penalty. They are all trying to play well for each other, but I do agree that week after week shows it is a problem. I really don't now how you fix something like putting Marlowe in because he has always been your sure hand at fielding punts and watch him drop one (I find it hard to believe that the shoulder issues caused the drop). Good point on Martin. That guy felt horrible And I loved how emotional he got. That guy is old school husker

I'm not sure to be honest. It's kind of like I said to my dad the last couple weeks. When we win it still feels like we've lost in some of these games. Not trying to be difficult or unrealistic...although I'm sure it seems that way to some.

  8. Or eventually it's proven as something other than luck. I hope you are right. However the lack of discipline as evidenced in turnovers and penalties throughout the Pelini era likely point in a different direction. Couple that with multiple sideline incidents and I'd say I'm heading in the right direction. There's no way to prove that turnovers and penalties is immediately attributed to a lack of discipline. Those things can be realistically and hypothetically attributed to a number of different things. But time will tell. What would some of those things be?
  9. Well just think...we could very easily have 3 more loses. I get your point and I think bo is probably an overall good dude. I think he wants to do the right thing. However, you can't compare this to normal teams. Normal teams don't call three defensive timeouts in one half. Normal teams don't often land at the top of the list for turnovers and penalty's(in the country). Add the personnel issues and player exchanges and I'm saying something is wrong. I've never said I wanted bo gone, but, I hate the way he has our team looking..both on the football field and on the sidelines.
  10. Unfortunately I agree. We've been embarrassing for at least 75% of the last 3 weeks. Coaches have literally made some ridiculous coaching decisions and players have done some really stupid things. I think I can probably get over all that and move on...except...we add on top of all that several player/coach exchanges on national tv. The exchanges are more than "just football" like so many of the embarrassed fans try to say. It's a sign of lack of respect on both sides and it will undoubtedly came back to bite us. The exchange today with stafford and pelini was completely over the top. And for the poster who said it wasn't a big deal because he was in the game a minute later...well I say that's the biggest deal of all. Our big disciplinarian of a coach let one of his players put his finger in his face and f bomb him back and forth and then threw him back on the field To the person who said Saban was going crazy too, show me a clip where his players disrespects him and then goes in the next minute. Saban might have had stafford by the throat. It's embarrassing and it isn't "normal football".
  11. I hope Burkhead is back too..................a steady dose of Burkhead, Abdullah, Heard, and Cross....................forget it, game over. Heard and cross? Who are they?
  12. At some point during the game I was thinking he'd somehow had his best game and worst game of the season in the same game Which,if you think about it, isn't the first time you could say this. Live and die by Taylor it just is what it is.
  13. Headed back to central il from Chicago. Interstate 80 East is a parking lot just after interstate 55. Easily a 2hour backup. I would find an alternate route.... Go big Red
