  1. I feel like too many people are forgetting about Joshua Kalu at CB. I think him and Lee are the starters at the end of the year. I love me some Kalu but he's more of a Safety by trade. Played the Nickel last year but I'm not sure if he's played on the outside much.
  2. Not sure. According to Nate Clouse a couple days ago he committed. But I haven't seen anything else. Nate Clouse ‏@NateClouse 14m14 minutes ago Sutton, Neb. RB/ATH Noah Johnson tells me he has committed to the #Huskers as a preferred walk-on. #nebpreps
  3. I can't wait unit the appeal of Stanford is gone. Took a step in that direction last year. Yeah, it will be quite interesting to see if they bounce back or continue to fade. The latter seems more likely to me.
  4. Mainly I just thought it was interesting. I'm kind of a history buff and when you combine history and Huskers, you have my attention. But it also contributes to a discussion that comes up from time to time - especially recently. Whether or not coaches that win a lot of games should be fired, have they been given enough time and is the program headed in the right direction. I think it was right to fire Frank - I just don't think he was the right man for the job. Others say he won a lot of games and some even say he was a good recruiter. This seems to indicate otherwise to some extent. Plus it also provides some context for the last 15 years, depending on what you want to believe. I think it's pretty plausible that Frank did well with Tom's recruits and guys soon after that who came here on his coattails. By the time Frank left, we didn't have much talent to work with. That handicapped Callahan - plus being a terrible fit - but he did have some better talent in here by the time he left. Pelini arguably did the best early on with Callahan's recruits.
  5. Kind of an interesting look back via the OWH.
  6. Rob Cassidy ‏@Cassidy_Rob now9 seconds ago Stanford has offered Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton DL Garrett Rand. Won't be shocked if that's it for his recruitment. @bangulo @StanfordRivals Rob Cassidy ‏@Cassidy_Rob now11 seconds ago Long ago, Rand told me Stanford was the only school that could cause hint o make an early commitment. And now here we are.

  12. Curious to see how he does. If he earns a starting spot, he's going to be very good. But he could easily not play much at all.
  13. Yeah, you're right. I didn't quite read Atbone95's post right. I though he meant he already had another offer for this year.
  14. Could be. But he's been pretty consistent about tweeting Husker-related things the entire time. I think he's hoping to get an offer and want us to know he's still interested.
  15. Perhaps the explaination is there just isn't as much talent in the state. The scouting services are seeing it. Coaches at other programs are seeing it. Basically the only reason not to recognize it is if you don't want it to be true (no pun intended).
  16. I think that's what he's saying: when he got the offer in HS, he didn't think twice about committing and now he can't stop thinking about how much he wants to be here.
  17. Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut now7 seconds ago #Nebrasketball fans, you’re going to want to watch this Q&A with 2015 signee Ed Morrow. http://www.csnchicago.com/preps/get-know-simeons-ed-morrow …
  18. Now look at those older lists - where there were obviously more offers, and see if that was legit or there were too many.

  20. That's quite a stretch the new staff surpassed the old staff's offers when all that is there is guys the old staff offered.
  21. Thanks for doing this again, Sker. +1 Richardson signed with Kentucky and Lundie didn't make it. The Miami crowd really fizzled. Should have been a great time to reel them in but the only three we got were already committed. Disappointing. Also, That's why I think having an early signing period in December (without earlier visits) will actually hurt Nebraska. Slightly different circumstances with the coaching change be we got six commits who visited after that signing date. What if they signed somewhere else before they visited? 25% of our OVs took place after when the early deadline would be (not counting Neal and Decker).
  22. SkerChicago does a good job of keeping up on the official visits here. Not sure about unofficial visits.
  23. Garrett Rand ‏@rand3218 27m27 minutes ago Blessed to have received an offer today from Stanford University #StanU #TheFarm
