  3. #Bucs ‏@MikeInTampa2 2h 2 hours ago #Bucs: Lavonte David enters the bye week #1 in solo tackles, #2 in total tackles (no one playing tonight or Monday will catch up to him).
  4. Line opens with Huskers as 7 point favorites.
  5. Which is exactly why saying "If Saban were here, he'd get recruits" is useless to the discussion. Unless he comes here - and he wouldn't go to Texas for $10M per - let's just stick to reality.
  6. Ron Brown paid him a visit last week. Dad played football and wrestled for the Huskers. Said he's definitely going to visit for a game.
  7. Hasn't set any other OVs. Might not mean a lot being that close to UA and ASU but hopefully that's a good sign for us being higher than everyone else.
  8. If you think what's available to do in a town anywhere close to being the biggest advantage in location, you are sadly mistaken. As compared to where? Nebraska?
  9. Apparently attempts to discredit "geographically disadvantaged" excuse. Gives two examples of programs who have a huge geographic advantage.
  10. Forced to cheer for Dallas because of fantasy football. I feel dirty.

  12. But guys! The President of Navajo Nation supports it and watched the game with Snyder today! Just ignore the details. It'll be fine.
  13. Both the Broncos and Cowboys today have had the center snap the ball before the QB was ready because they mis-interpreted foot movement by the QB. I do not remember having any problems with this over the last two years until MSU started doing it intentionally. No system is fool-proof. Ours had been working as well as any and better than most. If I had another word for what they were doing other than cheating I'd use it but there isn't any. It didn't cost us the game but it didn't help either. Once we figured out it was them doing it, we adjusted. I doubt we have any trouble with it going forward.
  14. This is a flaw in the poll obviously. A similar thing occurred when Nebraska mysteriously got one vote in the poll after the Iowa game last year. ... which most other voters agreed with after the bowl games were over. I mean, same for A&M......right? Only if you think they're going to find a way to beat Alabama and Auburn. Even LSU might not be easy for them.
  15. This is the biggest question and has been for some time. Here's my glass-half-full answer to that question: While still shooting ourselves in the foot too much, we seem to have overcome it better than in the past. Against Miami - a team that has talent but one we should have beaten without too much problem - we didn't play particularly well. We let them score first. We turned it over a couple times. The completed a much higher percentage than we usually allow and gained 359 yards through the air. But we still had the game well put away as it came down the stretch. In the past, those games have come right down to the final play. Against MSU - a team that was at least as good as us and probably better - we looked to be headed toward a one-sided affair similar to tOSU or Wiscy II in 2012 or Wiscy in 2011. On the road, night game, highly-ranked opponent and we let them get out to a big lead. However, this time we kept fighting, made a run and had a chance to win at the end. Much better against a fairly evenly matched opponent than has happened often in the past. We still need to be better. But it seems like we've handled a couple of those games better than we have in the past.
  16. I would guess 2:30. Short B1G schedule that weekend. tOSU/PSU in the night game on ABC/ESPN. I would guess Mich/MSU would be another 2:30 game with the Minny/Illinois and Maryland/Wiscy games being the early ones. Unless they don't want Nebraska playing at the same time as MSU/Mich.

  18. Greg Auman ‏@gregauman 13m13 minutes ago For second game in a row, Bucs LB Lavonte David finishes with 14 combined tackles -- nobody else in game with more than eight.
  19. So at least one coach has aTm ranked seventh despite losing their last two games by two scores, barely eeking out the game before that in OT and not beating an FBS team with a winning record.
  20. Appears to be going by Walton-Copeland now: JaevonWaltonCopeland ‏@BlackShirtGang Protected Tweets 3h3 hours ago #HuskerNationWassup
  21. Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut 5h5 hours ago Kansas transfer @AndrewWhite03 has already made quite the impression on #Nebrasketball…(FREE) https://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1691769 …
  22. Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH 5h5 hours ago Nebraska's D is forcing 8.2 punts per game, which is good for third nationally. Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH 5h5 hours ago Now that Nebraska's PR game is a weapon and not a liability, that's worth more, forcing punts.
  23. There are fewer than six minutes to play in the third quarter and Alabama has one rushing yard against a team that has lost 11 straight conference games.
