  2. Here who is listed to come. I hope DeLaShaun Dean visits, but has postponed at least twice. CB A.J. Wallace 6-1/195/4.40 OL Butch Lewis 6-5/280/5.20 OL J.B. 3. You brought historian in me out with your verse. Very nice, almost poetic if I may say so. It brings to mind the imagery from antiquity. A mosaic. One of the finest mosaics discovered in recent years at Palmyra, the great oasis city in the desert, halfway between the Mediterranean and the Euphrates. The mosaic is of a mystical archer (a warrior), with his winged accomplice flying out of the heavens, slaying fierce tigers. I swear, if you look hard and long enough, you can make out a very faint N on the side of the warriors helmet.
  4. Here are some updated rankings Coaches Poll NU Ranked 29th Associated Press NU Ranked 26th CBS Sportline
  5. I'm sorry, but that's a bunch of horse crap. Yes it is. I personally think the officiating stunk, it doesn't matter what side you were on. Considering it was a questionable call that gave them both of their touchdowns.
  6. What's wrong with that? We controlled the ball. Time of possesion was 37minutes to 23 minutes. You can't do that without your OL doing a good job. I agree. We won the game. No we did not put up staggering numbers, but I think a win is more important. We kept their offense off the field and out D fresh. I think BC and company called a good game, and yes the field goal was the right decision. Can you imagine what would be said about BC on these boards if he would have gone for the first and not have gotten it?
  7. Baylor seems to think that the officiating was scued Nebraska's way (shocker). A Texas writer even goes as far as to impede that we may of had at least one of the refs in our pocket. Here is the link: Baylor: Official has Nebraska ties
  8. Last season is still fresh enough in my mind that I can remember Husker Nation's concerns and loathing of Dailey. I definately do not wish to relive it. Comparing Zac to Joe is similar to comparing an 1978 Ford with the tranny going out to a New F150 with a CD player, 4x4, bedliner, and that new car scent. They both can drive 75 mph, they both can carry a heavy load; but you feel much more comfortable that the F150 will get where you need to go without breaking down. Zac (F150) may be similar stat-wise to Joe (debatable), but if one does not feel more comforable with Zac under center, than they missed last season. Some may say that they always supported Joe, maybe the same way they supported Jammal Lord, but the truth be told, he was not a good QB. He was never relaxed, he had no instinct, he was not a quick as some are saying, he was not that accurate, he made many poor decisions, and he never really seemed to be a good motivator. Does anyone think it would have been possible for Dailey to bring a team back from a 21 point deficit? Or would he of curled up and played dead? Did you see BC putting in Beau Davis to replace Zac at any point during the Texas Tech game? The differences, between JD and ZT, are apparent, but you need to, in many ways, look beyond the numbers. Go to the next game at Memorial Stadium and you can simply see, hear, and feel the difference.
  9. Bring on Lydon Murtha...... I think he has played well, when he is put it. He definately could not play as sloppy as LT has been.
  10. I will get mad at espn, d*mmit. It is their job to actually investigate and think about what they are writing about. I cant see this as a case of them forgetting about Nebraska. If they did forget, then they are not very good at their job (this is fairly evident). If Nebraska needs to keep playing the role of underdog, so be it. If they need to prove themselves again, so be it. But, if this espn reporter is honestly thinks that ISU, who just lost their 2nd, will get a bowl bid before Nebraska, then he just hasn't payed any attention to our last 2 games. The only thing that I could think of is that he believes (or hopes) NU will tank the rest of the season. Could this be Musberger? He probably got hired by espn and this is his pen-name.
  11. From the Article: Texas Tech appears to be the biggest challenger to Texas, and the Oct. 22 showdown with the Longhorns should be the biggest game of the season. Let me see.......Nebraska, for the most part, beat Texas Tech. Texas Tech is the biggest challenge for Texas. Texas Tech will go to a bowl, but Nebraska won't? Nebraska doesn't play Texas, they beat Iowa State, plus are improving with every game. Texas Tech and Iowa State will go to a bowl game. Even Kansas and Kansas State will go to a bowl. BUT NOT NEBRASKA? Either this guy made a mistake, or he is on crack. I (even if I wasn't a Husker fan) do not see how his logic makes any sense. Once again, the f'ers from espn are talking out their a$$. Also from the article: And with all due respect to Joe Paterno and Charlie Weis, Morriss deserves "Coach of the Century" honors if he can pull off that feat. Maybe Big 12 Coach of the year, but coach of the Century? Also, Charlie Weis? I know that he may be a good coach, but "Coach of the Century"? Just another example of how big of an idiot this writer is. Did he start watching football this year?
  12. It would not surprise me if Lucky and Glenn are used in a similar fashion to how the Packers use Ahman Green and Najeh Davenport. Green being the illusive speedster that can catch the ball down field, and Davenport being the short yardage big bodied back that also can break away for decent gains. I would bet, that after the tech game, both Lucky and Glenn be seeing more playing time. Boy, watch out for Lucky as he and our OL gets more experienced. This kid can turn on the jets.
  13. Herbie is losing to Aubie bad. Lets vote!
  14. I think this offense looked more improved vs tech than against ISU. Their redzone offense was much improved. If we can limit the turnovers, we will be a force to be reckoned with. It is a lot of fun.
  15. IMO, I think that they will come out and have a break away game vs. Baylor. Even though they lost the Tech game, they know they could've/should've won. They played with and almost beat the #1 ranked offense in the nation and the #13 ranked team overall. I would have worried if they would have been blown out, but since they weren't I have no reservations that they will come out swingin'.
  16. I don't think he has started out quite as well, but on the other hand, he has more people surrounding him this year that are making plays. Last year, it seemed that only a few on the defense actually stepped up. I think more are stepping up and making plays this year. This could be a reason other's names are being called more.
  17. Oh! We would have? What else do your tarot cards say? Your meaningless and junior high-like post adds nothing to these boards. Either your a disgruntled Solich fan, who needs to get over it; or you are a fan of another team, who needs to think about what it means to be a good fan. Many morons don't understand, that if it takes Nebraska having a couple of down years for a team to compete with them, then that says something about that team, not Nebraska.
  18. If interested, the game is being replayed onTBS as we speek.
  19. Zac Taylor stats over the last 2 games: Passing: 90-57 63% 660 yards 4tds 2INTS. 35 rush yards These are some pretty respectable stats. Can anyone seriously, compare Dailey to Taylor? Taylor is hitting his stride. Yes, he had a few problems today, but he was playing the #13 ranked team in the country. Dailey had problems with most defenses he played last year.
  20. No question Lou is an a$$hat. Trev quit/got fired. He had some disagreement with the ESPN folks and they tried to work things out over the phone on a Sat. about 3 wks. ago and he said he wouldn't be there for work, so they said he wouldn't work there anymore. Not sure what the disagreement was about, but the stuff I've read makes me think he and his family are comfortable with their decision. Speaking of that..Desmon Howard was on Thursday night with Mark May. I didn't think ESPN could hire anyone worse but they did! Howard was dumber then a box of rocks! Howard was on College Gameday this morning, and I agree: DUmber than a bag of Hammers....
  21. Redman

    Spain

That kind of makes him ineligible. I honestly don't mean to be a dick, but not having taken the proper course, made him ineligible. If he was not ineligible, he would be playing.
  22. Lets give a big AMEN to that!
  23. ESPN news analyst Lou Holtz, just commented on how over rated TTech must be because of how they almost got beat by Nebraska. No comments were made on how Nebraska must be better than what they (ESPN) originally thought. It seems that if we would have won, they would said that TTech simply was awful.
