  1. As long as the list is free to the public I can dissect it throughout the afternoon/night as I am already halfway done with work for the day...started work at 4:00 am today to make my Asian sales calls. Are there any working or are they all celebrating the Lunar New Year? Just scheduled calls is all. Nothing big or time consuming. Just a matter of contract update crap. I see. This is actually my down time since everyone is celebrating over there. More time to read HuskerBoard.

  3. As long as Urban Meyer is there, I will never root for Ohio St..... That arrogant bastard; who does he think he is planning on instructing other coaches on how to recruit? Given the competitive spirit of other coaches, I doubt it will go over well.... Maybe a Pelini head-butt, followed by Hoke sitting on him.... Yeah. I don't believe anyone is going to usher him in to "teach" them how to recruit. I could see them learning how he develops them, though. Even Osborne did that with Bobby Bowden. Say what you will about Meyer, though. He has made the B1G tougher and more competitive. Coaches took notice of what he did last year with flipping recruits from other B1G schools late in the process. I do not believe I saw any of that this year. Even Nebraska had more verbals early in the season prior to the year before. That was not by accident. These coaches have recognized they have to do way more now.
  4. I think Delaney is too much too go with moves such as GT or Virgina... But, I thought that before the Rutgers, and Maryland moves.... Well apparently Virginia already has an offer and Big Ten is in talks with UNC and Georgia Tech but both GT & UNC are holding off until seeing how the Maryland/ACC lawsuit plays out which seems to be in Marylands favor. We seem to want UNC more but getting them to leave Duke may be the deal breaker there. That is why GT and Virginia are a much more likely scenario. I just don't get the Virgina/GT moves..... Even the UNC one is odd.... Give me L'ville, and Kansas.... It's all about TV sets now. Kansas and Loisville make sense geographically but Virgina's, North Carolina's and Georgia's population bases are growing and probably do not have the B1G network contracted with the cable companies. Rutgers and Maryland have Millions of new TV's for the network to go into. I was surprised Boston College has not been mentioned in this. They are strong academically and their sports are not too bad either. And you would get the Boston TV market. As it is, the population shift to the south is the driving factor. Kansas and Louisville are good geographically but does not bring the TV's with it.
  5. Obviously if there is Pac12 and SEC champion undefeated, we wouldn't go. You have to think a one-loss Nebraska beating an undefeated Ohio State would do well in polls over a Pac12 one-loss. Yeah I read that faster than I comprehended it. I think the pecking order for 1 loss National Championship teams is SEC, B1G, Big XII, PAC12, ACC. It's only an opinion, of course.
  6. If there is an udefeated PAC12 or SEC champion, Nebraska's chances are zero to play in the National Championship.
  7. Beck & TJ for sure. That is who I was thinking, too. Worries me that there isn't any place for TJ to move up the ladder. Beck, we just have to pay big OC money. Tom O. would some times spread his raise around, to his asst coaches. He never made the kind of money that head coaches, are getting now. Lessons to be learned from a legend. GBR!!! No coach was getting paid obscene money back then like they are now. It's a much different animal in this era.
  8. In an ideal world, Bo has some success here in the next 5 years and maybe moves on to the NFL. In the meantime TJ moves up the chain of command and eventually becomes our head coach. Not a knock on anybody else, I just love TJ! Agreed. TJ is a must keep out of any coach on the staff. You don't find a lot of coaches like him. Plus he turned down interviews to other SEC schools this past year, so that shows he is waiting for something bigger. Not just the paycheck.
  9. Are you comparing this kid to Martinez in HS or College? Because Taylor's lateral movement was probably far better when he was competing against other HS players and not against high level college athletes. That being said, I like this QB as well. Would make a great addition to the team next year.
  10. So he won't get early PT here but he will at the schools in his Top 5? I don't know what the depth situation is for those schools. I believe that if he came here and out performed anyone else, he would find his way on the field. Pelini already admitted to using redshirts too much. He is ready to put the best players on the field.
  11. I like JP, too. I think that he will get a D2 or Mid-Major job in about 3 years. He will have the experience and he is a strong recruiter. It will be a matter of time.

  13. Beck & TJ for sure. That is who I was thinking, too. Worries me that there isn't any place for TJ to move up the ladder. Beck, we just have to pay big OC money. Papuchis will get a HC job somewhere and TJ will move up. I see it happening within the next 3 years.
  14. I like the idea of playing Colorado as much as possible because we recruit well into there and I want to take as many of that states athletes as we can. Plus, anytime you can play a D1 non-con close to home, it's a good idea.
  15. I have, but the top recruits in the state we are already going after, but the recruits that KU is going after but we aren't would be 2 and low 3-star recruits, so pass. Maybe saying KU recruits would have been clearer. What the what? Just because we are going after recruits doesn't mean we couldn't use all of the help we can get getting them to commit.
  16. One of my son's teachers looks like Gabrielle Union. Needless to say, I do not mind walking him to class every morning.
  17. I could see Taylor possibly redshirting simply from his past injury. Obviously he was a beast this year in HS and I know Texas football is everything but once you get into college, it's more physical and demanding and I think he would benefit greatly having the training staff work with him to make sure everything is good before contributing.
  18. Melissa Midwest, imo. Graduated with her from high school. pass. I was going to mention her too.
  19. Man, we should have called up Larry the Cable Guy or Waren Buffet to help us out with McWilson.
  20. Priest willis? Quincy Russell? I don't think he was talking about those guys because he specifically said the kid played very poor football his senior year. That's definitely not the case with those two. I am very curious who he was talking about. Made it sound like he was ours to lose too. Lacoutre?
  21. You can't help but be excited about getting a kid like this to sign, but our track record with some of these types of kids is not great. Tyler Moore, Aaron Green, etc... Neither of those two were questionable during recruiting. Not sure what the connection is. Green left due to playing time and Moore left due to a combination of playing time and a girl. Why would you assume Dixon will do the same? I do not assume anything. But clearly his wavering on us this much should call into question whether he has the mentality to stay. To me he has an uncomfortableness that he can't seem to overcome. That would put him in the same category as the previous two that were mentioned. Did they have the recruiting drama like Dixon? No. But they were "high profile" players that did not feel comfortable here after a year.
  22. According to Scout, Antonio Conner is a 5 star DB from Batesville, MS
