  1. Usually each faculty member gets two tickets, so divide that by 2 and it's a little more manageable. I sit in section 2 with my dad, who's a faculty member, but there's plenty of non-faculty members around us. Interesting. Any idea how many faculty the University employs? Do you think it is mostly faculty there or are they selling the tickets? US College News says that there is a 21:1 of student to faculty ratio. With a enrollment of 25,000 that would only put the faculty population at approximately 2,000. Obviously that could be off, or maybe they don't count administrators, secretaries, etc. They might only be calculating the professors. http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/university-of-nebraska-2565 From what I've gathered there's three possibilities. 1) Faculty members that buy seats and attend every game. 2) Faculty members that buy seats and then sell their tickets to make a slight profit. I know professors personally that do this from year to year. 3) There's a possibility that if not all the faculty seats are bought, that they might then be opened to the general public for purchase. I don't know if this is actually true, or even done at UNL, but I could definitely see it as a possibility.
  2. Very tired of the drama. Thankfully, whatever he decides, LB seemed to become a position of strength this year with the way D. Young and others played. Yep. Recent crystal ball for Rutgers. Honestly, if he wants to go there, then whatever. They are a joke. Hope he comes here, but won't be that upset. To be fair that Rutgers CB is from a Rutgers writer and also quite old.
  3. Is that Cornhusker Standard Time? Might be Clemson Standard Time ahahahaha, fingers crossed...

  5. Right now we're at 86. So we only have two spots left at the moment. He and Simmons would be the max. Yea, that's what I was referring to. I think we get Bisharat if he's truly visiting, but I believe that Simmons is Clemson bound.
  6. So I'd assume that he and potentially Simmons are the finishing touches of the class. Would leave us with the +3, but can't say i feel to great about Simmons.

  8. Well he's a 2017 recruit, not 2016. If this year's class is what you're referring to.
  9. Thought that Lamar Jackson's video was actually pretty cool. Better than the other ones I've seen recently. https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/694591651113603072

Ha ha! That's pretty good. Who makes these videos? Does someone help the recruits make them? (Or it varies?)

I believe Bleacher Report helps make them.

  10. That definitely favors us if he's deciding this early. He's visited here twice (to be three). Can't recall him going anywhere else that often. Said that same about some others though in the 2016 class.
  11. Yea, that Butler tweet is pretty telling. Could mean that he supports him regardless, but I think that Louisville is Dez's pick, unfortunately.
  12. Michael Bruntz gave a Cincy CB prediction, so it's possible we cooled on him. I'm curious to see what happens.
  13. After how the battles have gone in the past for big men.. cant say i am super excited about this.... One thing we have in our favor, if he decides it's an important reason, is that we have immediate playing time available if he comes to Nebraska. We'll see though.
  14. .... we've officially gone too far Yea, you're being ridiculous with that @huskerfan13. I just took the time to go through every single person he follows and calculate how many Nebraska twitter accounts he's following, and we're winning by a mile! Don't even release the video, Lamar! /s
  15. That's definitely a benefit of having other strong athletic programs.
  16. Given Butler's tweet I feel like that has to mean he's headed here. As far as I know Fitz does not have an offer from WVU, and it'd pretty ridiculous to get WVU to recruit him this late in the game. I really hope we get both of these guys. If we get one of the two I can be happy however.
  17. He's only retweeted WVU stuff recently.. LET'S GET SKEEEEPPTTTICCAAAAAL!
  18. lol this is too freaking classic You do have to understand that Clemson was just in the National Championship.. They were one onside kick away from going undefeated. If that team was offering me and I was in the kid's shoes, I would be crazy not to at least visit them. Just because a kid visits doesn't mean he's committing. If he does, so be it, but that's not from a lack of effort to this coaching staff.
  19. Rutgers and Minnesota are not good teams, but for a very young team these games were very critical. Its good that they took care of business, and soundly at that.

While MN and Rutgers are both awful teams, i think Nebraska still played a great game in both. I dont care who you are, it isnt easy to blow out a B1G team. We played smart, team ball and i love what we are seeing in terms of growth. Next 5 games will be a huge test and 2-3 would be my guess. 3-2 or 4-1 would be amazing!

Proud to say I got to attend my first ever game last night. I'd say the results were quite alright!

The results were encouraging, to say the least. Maybe the season isn't over yet...

  20. Lol, I'm afraid of who's next.. I haven't heard of anyone else that we're recruiting except for the JUCO DE.
  21. There's not much from here on out. He's on campus, enrolled in classes, now he just has to be the player that we thought he'd be! All the best to him.
