  1. Maybe you'd like years of stupid questions? I sure as he'll wouldn't and love how Bo responds. I mean how many times are they going to ask the same questions? It's. Part. Of. The. Job. Yes, it is, but how he responds is his decision, and I for one, love it.

  3. Not only did they get the win, they did it with A LOT of players out (most notably three starting OL).
  4. Agree. The fact that two middle of the road teams in the big 12 are now players in the sec shows a lot.
  5. To me, the problem is that there are lots if helmet to helmet hits during a game, and you can't call some but not the others. That gives rise to serious issues. Also, the fact that defenders are making split second decisions with the offensive player moving makes it more egregious, especially when an offensive player lowers his head. What is the defender supposed to do (and/or what can he do)?
  6. Can't really tell much from the photo above. But the gif below makes it look more like SJB hit with the shoulder. To me anyway. LINK The Purdue RB's head didn't even snap back. That was a total bullsh#t call if you ask me. Good call.
  7. Lighten up francis . You just made the list buddy.
  8. Abso-fringing-lutely. My favorite player by far.
  9. it's ok you don't understand basic football concepts. No Tmart would have done worse have you not been paying attention since week1 where we almost lost. You are crazy. Taylor is not just a little bit better runner - he is far superior. It amazes me how people forgot everything he has done, and instead believe a person on the bench who has hardly played is better. He was a Hiesman candidate his freshman year, before he got hurt -- based largely on his running ability. Yeah, he doesn't know who to run. Moreover, this whole thread is about wishing Taylor well and what do you do? Choice to use this forum to attack him. Nuff' said. Taylor doesn't have the same speed since he got injured. yeah cause no one ever on this board has ever gone off topic right? do you even read this board? cause that last comment tells me no. I'll clarify for you, as it appears as you need it. Taylor is much, much better when healthy. Ok? Got it?

  11. It's not even close. Martinez is much, much better. People have a short memory. The major limitation have been due to injury and/or play calling/coaching (asking him to be conservative). I would hate to defend NU's offense if Martinez is truly healthy. The only argument is getting Armstrong experience.
  12. As another poster said, it's not really about tackling -- it's about getting in a position to tackle. Our problem is our guys haven't been able to get off blocks and/or are out of position to make the tackle. Too many times an OL takes out a linebacker and/or the next "safety" value is out of position. The reason the defense worked so well with David/Ruud was they got around the OL (that was trying to take them out) and made the tackle. Once this happens the defense will be much better.
  13. Sipple made some comments that haven't received much attention and one I believe is worthy of a separate thread. Sipple explained that Bo's "disagreements" with the media usually occur while he is trying to protecting a player or players. Bo was pissed, at the time, with stories "attacking" Martinez, and the fact that the student section was booing the players during the game. I remember this occurring at the time and Bo pretty much saying the same in public without the language. The point is that, just like a protective parent, sibling or friend, a coach should have his player's backs. We should support this, not attack it. It is admirable. They are young student athletes, not paid professionals, who are trying their best. Moreover, do you disagree with his comments when they are put in context? I sure as hell don't. EDIT for link to article - knapplc LINK
  14. Because he's a human, too. But please tell me you'd never do a thing like that, no, certainly not. I have been involved in coaching at various levels for the past 42 years. Never did I ever fly off of the handle at fans, media, or players like that. Never! End of story! Really? Have you ever coached at Nebraska? No, I have not coached at Nebraska. But, I have, back in the day, officiated Big 8 athletic events. It does not matter where you coach. Nebraska is not unique. There are hundreds of programs where coaches of character elevate themselves above the fracas of negativism. It is what you do as an example to your players, staff, media and fans. You are losing this argument. Give it up. He isn't losing this argument (except in your mind). In reality, he's already won it.
