  1. Have you seen the reports on how overwhelmed NYC doctors and coroners are? If I'm a doctor and I have 100 patients I'm scrambling to keep alive, I'm not going to be paying too much attention to exactly what the body appears to have died from at home. I'm signing it and moving on to someone I can actually help.
  2. Then, why are they just "suspected" COVID deaths and not confirmed?
  3. A large portion of these are deaths at home. I could be wrong, but many of those do not have a doctor involved to make the determination. NYC has said that deaths at home have sky rocketed from 25 per day to over 250 per day. So, it's safe to say a lot of those could be from COVID. However, it's not like a doctor has determined it by looking at the symptoms.
  4. I think everyone would agree with that. But, it's just not reality right now. If they only recorded deaths that were confirmed COVID, then it would be greatly understated. However, the way they are doing it now, I'm sure it catches some that weren't. I believe the way they are doing it now is getting closer to reality (even though it's not perfect) than if they only used confirmed cases.
  5. When is the press supposed to ask him about it? It's not like he's been doing a media tour. Also, how do you think Trump is going to use this against him with his own history? I agree that he will. But, I only see that working with his base. The vast majority of the rest of the population sees him for what he is.
  6. I have had the exact same thought for a long time and is why it seems that I criticize Republicans a lot more. If other people would think the same way, our political system would improve.
  7. The number yesterday included the 3,700 from nyc that is classified as “probable “ I wish they had left them in their own category.
  8. Yeah...not much facial reaction to anything.
  9. And, people wonder why I'm not a cat person.
  10. I don't necessarily disagree with you. Our course is still open with protective measures like you describe in place. However, it appears that the course by @NUance has some members that didn't take it seriously and it ruined it for everyone. Now, if the friggen blizzards would stop happening so I could get out and golf, I would be happy. But, I wouldn't be surprised if there won't be members at our course doing the same thing. Which...is unfortunately.
  11. I don't know the official answer. ZRod's answer seems to make sense. I see they adjusted the deaths two days ago to account for the questionable deaths in NYC. I wish they hadn't done that and they would have just left them in their own category. Looking back, it will look like we had one really bad day. In reality, that is spread over several weeks.
  12. Well...actually, states and local communities do have the constitutional right to do what they are doing. It's been fought out in the supreme court. LINK Boy....if you don't think the government has the right to do what it's doing, you must really hate Trump.
  13. What's interesting though, my son received one. He's always been listed as a dependent. Oh well.
  14. It's even a weirder marriage than James Carville and Mary Mataline during the 1992 campaign.
  15. Are you F'ing kidding me? She's an elite rowing athlete because she uses a rowing machine in their home gym? Sorry, she deserves everything she gets.....along with everyone else.
  16. Interesting. Who is eligible for the Economic Impact Payment? All three are treated the same still on our taxes as dependents because they are all still in college. But, the youngest got a payment and the others haven't.
