  1. I have no problem with pointing out loonytuneness from both sides. Makes me feel pretty comfortable right in the middle.
  2. I agree with your post. However, I have one correction above. For instance, Iowa is a very similar team to us as far as talent and ability. We were in their house. It's tough to win on the road in the Big Ten. Yes, we could have won that game. We didn't. That sucks. And...as for Heiman, I really think we would see more of him if he wasn't fouling about every 10 seconds while in the game.
  3. Ranks right up there with a waitress calling me "honey" or "Sweety".
  4. Why should his play be scrutinized any more than any other player's? They were only 5 for 16 in third down conversions. They only ran the ball for 65 yards. Prince's tweet was on point.
  5. I believe I was the first one who referenced Bell in this thread and it was appropriate at the time. The discussion was if Mills looked like the #1 back in JUCO. My point was, that last year we started the year with another previous #1 JUCO back......and that player didn't look too great either. My comment was solely on the rankings of JUCO players and how sometimes they can be not what they seem. Then....the thread took it into a totally different direction that wasn't needed.
  6. Chris obviously didn’t get the talking points memo.
  7. This reminded me a time when driving the family to church, we came across a woman walking down the street badly bleeding. She had had worked all night as a nurse and got home 10 minutes late in the morning. Her husband beat the crap out of her. I was absolutely sick to my stomach pissed off at someone who could to that. I also was the first to the scene of a couple accidents I forgot.
  8. I think I saw a poll not too long ago that showed the military is only a little more pro trump than the general population. And, I believe the generals and other officers are NOT fans.
  9. That’s not in what I said in the post you quoted as what I said coaches would say.
  10. Well.....to be fair.....the way some of his businesses have been ran, he would be money ahead with them not having their doors open.
  11. Actually, it's not....but, it's being taken differently. In my original post I said it's "unacceptable." That's not different than saying "You should be expected to shoot a certain percentage from the line at this level." I'm guessing that most coaches at this level would have no problem using either terminology when discussing what level of free throw percentage they expect from their team.
  12. I found this interesting. About a year ago, I read some articles talking about how the economic growth that Trump wants to accomplish is not possible without immigration simply because we won't have enough workers to do the work.
  13. Ok....no place did I say this is what Nebraska does all the time with free throws. No place did I say it’s a chronic problem. What I did say is that it’s frustrating when it happens. And, just because there are teams that are even much worse, doesn’t make it ok for our team to have a night like that. Its no different than if the football team went out and lost a close game and 2AM had a 35% completion record missing wide open receivers for TDs that would have won the game. Does that happen sometimes to a team? Yes. Is it acceptable to say that’s damn frustrating to happen at this level? Yes. Is it right to say that was a contributing factor to us losing the game? Yes. Bad free throw shooting is no different. You should be expected to shoot a certain percentage from the line at this level. When it doesn’t happen, it’s frustrating.
  14. 1) Smelled smoke in our house and couldn't find it. It was middle fo the summer and nobody would have a fire place or burning leaves..etc. Freaked us out enough that we called and had them come look. As stupid as it felt, they assured us we did the right thing. 2) Ended up behind an extremely drunk driver once on I35 in Des Moines. The guy ended up hitting a guard rail, blowing a tire, continuing on until the I-80 interchange and didn't quite make the curve. When the police finally got there, he was over heard yelling that he shouldn't be arrested because he's a prominent doctor in the area. 3) Ended up having to call them once here in Nebraska because we were burning one old building (with a permit) and sparks took off and landed on another building that I had planned on burning, but there was no way I was going to be able to manage both fires. Since I know everyone on the fire department, they gave me a lot of crap over that one. I owed them a lot of beer. 4) I've done a lot of driving/traveling. I have called a number of times when I would pass a woman alone on the side of the road with car trouble. I don't want to stop and freak them out as a man, but, I also don't want some other random man to stop and take advantage of the situation.
