  1. I always find it funny when this happens so soon. Wiki already claims he was hired on February 22nd 2016 as Nebraska' D line coach. So...it must be a done deal.
  2. I wonder if Trump and the Clintons are still good friends.
  3. I hope you realize that he exposes peoples' lies like no one else. In turn, that leaves him susceptible to a counter-attack from other candidates, and the only response anyone can seem to muster against Trump is "He's so rude!" Gimme a break. Ummm....no. You obviously haven't paid attention then. He is a hot head that will say whatever he thinks the crowd standing in front of him wants to hear. Heck, he has changed his stance on issues since he even started campaigning in THIS election. I'm sure that's dependent on who he is talking to. He has not put out any detailed plan to do anything other than build a wall and make Mexico pay for it and don't let China screw us. Wow....that's some great in depth plan there. The guy is an empty suit with a loud mouth. And, no, that is not saying I don't like him "because he is rude". He simply never says anything. I have listened to some of his speeches and all they are is..."Hey....I'm so great. I'm the greatest in all the world....We are going to win...bla bla bla..." Sorry if that doesn't impress me at all. It might get your heart pumping faster but it is empty and has absolutely no substance.
  4. Does this make anyone else uncomfortable? What he is basically saying is, if you spend money against me, I will drag you through the mud and make your life miserable. There is something about that that is simply just wrong.
  5. I think it still is worthy to point out that this is 33-35% of the Republican base witch is roughly 23% of the entire voting population in the US right now. Typically I would not say this about a candidate. But, as you pointed out, he is stuck with his fanatical group of voters and I don't see him winning votes much outside that group. In the general election, I will be shocked if he gets more than 25-30% of the vote. And, that might even be really high.
  6. I won't duck the question you posed to him. If TO were Riley's age, I would rather have TO coaching the team. However, he isn't Riley's age so, with as old as TO is right now, I would rather have Riley coaching at Riley's age. BTW....TO will be 80 tomorrow (February 23rd). Happy early Birthday Dr. T.
  7. Then you're either incapable of trying to understand perspectives other than your own, or you're unwilling. I can easily understand and grasp why someone would honestly vote for any candidate running on either side. It's not that at all. The reason I can't understand is because she's a lying, manipulative criminal who should be locked up in a penitentiary but somehow isn't because of political favor. With pretty much every other candidate, I can understand why they'd potentially vote for them. For example: Bernie - If they don't understand finance and don't believe in free enterprise. If they believe in taking money away from people who have earned it and giving it to people who haven't. People who vote for Sanders view him as a Robin Hood-type figure. Trump - If they believe that he will get the wall built, bring back thousands of jobs, leverage China to order North Korea to stand down, shut down Obamacare, etc. Someone who will be firm on issues both at home and abroad and won't back down. Cruz - Another one that I'm really not sure about, honestly. He comes across to me as a liar and will say whatever he thinks will get him votes. Rubio - Lots of people - If they're impressed with his stances on Christianity and religion in general. If they like the smooth talking, intelligent sounding spokesperson that he could potentially be. Jeb - If they're not appalled by the idea of the Bush family being back in the office, and if they agree with his stances on issues that differ with Trump. Carson - If they want a person who will be (in my opinion) the best person at delegating responsibility. I think he's in over his head and would get pushed around a lot, but I think his intelligence and being very level-headed are a great strength of his. Kasich - I'll honestly defer on him and say that I honestly don't know much about him. So as you can see, I can absolutely see why people would vote for a majority of candidates. Just not Hillary (and Cruz). I'm going to assume that when you talk about Hillary being a criminal that your complaint is about the ongoing email server thing. We can't make people care about her sending classified data from unsecured email servers and plenty of people simply don't understand what the big deal is. There are also a lot of people that simply see it as a smear campaign and after hearing about Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi for the last 18 months it's hard to not fault them. Hey...it has to be a "Vast right wing conspiracy" right?
  8. Here's my issue with issues like gay marriage. I am perfectly fine with people changing their minds on issues. Heck, I have changed my mind on many issues throughout my life. Other politicians have changed their minds on issues. So.....it is clear that at some point, Hillary changed her mind on gay marriage. That isn't that big of a deal. BUT....when she now comes out and says...."I have supported gay marriage all my life"....That is absolute total BS and is just an example of a politician saying whatever it takes to get votes even if it clearly can be seen as a total lie. And...no, she is not the only one that does that. I just wish a politician would come out and say "hey, at one point in my life I was against gay marriage. However, since then, I have listened and learned more about the issue and have changed my mind." That would garner one heck of a lot more respect from me than the crap she (and others) spew.
  9. And, with the normal attrition that happens every year, I would expect we should be able to take 27-28 next year.
  10. Hell....that's how I see both of them. Can not figure out why anyone would vote for either one.
  11. As to your second sentence, it's make believe. He was asked a question about Donald Trump, and responded with an answer about Donald Trump. Per your posts in this thread, am I to conclude that you have a focus on God? You seem to be mentioning God quite a bit in your responses. As to the superstition, I would love to see your empirical findings of how exactly it is superstition. If you have something to say, say it. I can handle it. I already said it. You quoted it up above there ^. It's almost always amusing and interesting to see when people show up throwing their weight around, dismissing others, and expecting to be taken seriously when they have no clout in the community or just pop up out of nowhere. Hmmm, the only thread where I have mentioned God is one with a pretty high religious component in it. Go ahead. Check. It would appear that you are looking to try and promote a false image of me which is pretty typical of one who doesn't like their outlook questioned. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the Pope and God have quite a relationship now does it. I will concede that the pope was asked about Trump so it was a natural segue for him. As for throwing my weight around, I am just giving my opinion. Is there some type of schedule here where you have to wait before posting something that might hurt a more seasoned posters delicate sensibilities? And I am not dismissing anyone. I am merely giving an contrary view. If you hadn't dismissed me so instantly, you would have seen that. Wait.... The pope has a relationship with God? Hmmm. Who would of thunk it?
  12. Anxiety issues is an excuse. The kid has no self control on this issue obviously.
  13. It may not have been all sunshine and lollipops, but the "culture" story has turned into the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Because one player says differently than the administration did? I think it is very likely that Bo did foster an inappropriate culture with the team. When players on the team and the new coaches (ala Mike Riley) are saying it was overblown, I'm going to listen. It's a topic that really doesn't need to be drug up again. Either it was there and HCMR and staff has worked hard to get rid of it and the players are moving on.... Or...it was never there. Either way, the players are moving on or trying to and we as fans should probably do that too so it doesn't remain an issue in the program.
  14. I bet you I can even predict how many yards rushing and passing we will have. Heck, I will bet you a million I can predict exactly how many turnovers Nebraska will have.
  15. With Simmons and Fitzpatrick, we had time (although very little) to fill the spot. With Crawford and Starling, it's a recruit that looks great on paper in your class, but they never make it to campus. It's like recruiting someone you know probably won't qualify...but....hey....they are a great athlete.
  16. Yes, Crawford is who I'm thinking of. I wouldn't necessarily say it didn't hurt us at QB. Hasn't our depth at QB been suspect for quite a while? Wouldn't it have been nice if we would have had a good back up or someone even better than Martinez or Armstrong?
  17. These situations are frustrating. I honestly hope Nebraska doesn't get commitments from these guys again unless we already have the position filled, have room in the class for a long shot like this...etc. This kid and the kid who committed to Solich only to go play baseball (can't remember his name) do nothing more than make the recruiting class look better than it really is and possibly leaves a gap in the position in recruiting. I wish this kid all the best in the world and love it that, if he were to play football, he would have come to Nebraska. But....just don't have a desire to be in these situations in the future. And...yes....he made the right decision for him.
  18. I you are a contractor and going to use it a lot, buying a Dewalt or Milwaukee is well worth it. for a home owner that uses it just every once in a while, those are still very good options, but, you could probably find something less expensive that would do the job. Our fabrication shop and maintenance almost always buy Dewalt.
  19. For Purdue, we could have only had 2-3 wins and beating us would be a quality win. OSU??? No. Purdue??? yes.
  20. Do we need an elite running game? LINK
  21. Wow....just had a moment where I thought I was in a Big Bang Theory episode.
  22. See Nebraska vs MSU or Nebraska vs UCLA from 2015.Again, those are examples of one game. I can see Riley and staff picking up a nice win somewhere, and then blowing it against a lesser team a week later. I just don't see the consistency that people expect NU to have. No, that's two games down the stretch where we saw the team come together. Fact is this, we saw what our staff/team can do when they are in sync. Who here REALLY TRULY expects us not to look much more improved on a simple consistency basis? The staff has a better understanding of their team, the team knows what the staff expects of them. Chemistry alone would have given us 3 more wins last year. I 100% expect it...If this team is not at 10 wins next year it is a failure in my mind and probably most of the NU fans minds... 1. Experienced staff: Check 2. Returning QB: Check 3. Experienced staff that can work with that QB and make him better: Check 4. Schedule where they will be favored in all but 1-2 games: Check This keeps getting thrown around, but is it true? Oregon, at Wisconsin, at Ohio State, at Iowa....all games id be surprised if we are not underdogs in. I think all but the OSU game are toss ups depending on how the season progresses. If we win against Oregon and Wisconsin maybe doesn't look like world beaters, I could see a situations where we are favored in that game. Same with the Iowa game. If we get to the Iowa game with one or two losses, I could see us as the favorite in that game. Since Oregon is so early, I would be somewhat surprised if we are the favorites in that one.
