Ok. It's about midnight and I'm still wide awake and I remembered this thread. I wanted to update things. My son left home today at around 9:00am for basketball practice and I didn't think anything about it. Typical day...right? At 12:30 I get a call on my cell phone from him. All I hear is...."dad I need help. I'm on the gravel road". I can tell he is in severe pain. The phone call nobody wants to get. He was driving down the road. Lost control on the gravel... When we found him finally... He was sitting beside his car covered in blood. According to the police, his car had rolled at least 4-5 times. We don't know when exactly he was ejected from the car. He thinks he landed around 15-20 yards away from the car. 5 hours later he is out of the ER and in a hospital bed lucky to be alive. This is my son. I'm standing in the emergency room with the doc stitching up my son and we are starting to realize he is going to be ok. A deputy is there that I've known before. I simply ask him if he knows this state patrolman that pulled me over a couple weeks ago. I tell him the story and he is shocked. He took the patrolman name down and I told him I want him to tell him about this accident and that this kid was sitting in the back seat of my car when he was feeding me s line of Bull sh#t. I hope the fu&*#r is bagging groceries at hyvee next week.

That's the thing, this guy is nowhere near a reach and is a VERY solid looking RB who fits a pro style offense very wellI don't see anyone claiming he is a reach. By no means did I mean that. I was alluding to BakerMark saying "I thought we didn't need Bussey so just "pass" and fill other needs?" Others were suggesting when we lost Bussey that we've got enough depth at RB to pass this year and go after other needed positions. But if you have a great player fall in your lap and they're interested... changes the narrative a bit. I think that's where most people are. Sucks losing Bussey but since we did, if we don't get one this year it's not a disaster. However, if you can get in with another good one, then take him.

Nobody knows if papuchis is any good or not. If Bo was dictating what was going to happen on defense he may have not had any freedom to do what he thought was best. Results may have been totally different.

This is what I've been saying. Not to sound all Cub-fan, but next year looks pretty good on defense, even without Gregory. Without Michael Rose forgot to list Michael Rose. In a more attacking defense....oh my!!!!!

Here is what I find so interesting about these two situations. When Callyclown was fired, Bo really didn't have to change that much as far as talent...etc. There was talent in the program. He just needed to build on what was here. The biggest thing he needed to change was a culture that losing a game here or there and having a losing season here or there wasn't that big of a deal. He did that. He took the talent and really put together some pretty good teams in 2009 and 2010 to the point where if we don't have an injury to 1 or 2 players in those years, we very well might have conference championships. NOW.....I believe Bo has good talent on the team. Once again, the biggest task for Riley is changing the culture in the program but now it's changing it away from this..."Us against the world" mentality. The two situations are so similar but yet so different.

With the stuff coming out about what he was like here with the press, it makes Dirk's articles and attitude more and more understanding. I tend to have a personality that doesn't allow people like Bo to just do something like that and let it lie. I will continue to do what I'm supposed to do and if some childish idiot doesn't like it it's their problem. Kind of sounds like Dirk had the same attitude about Bo.

That's where I'm at. I don't really have a reason to not like the hire yet. It will be interesting to see what he can do with a more consistently higher level of talent (hopefully) that will be in Lincoln.

Question on the kits. So, I'm assuming that if I would go spend $100 - $200 on a kit, I get all the equipment I would need also. So, when I want to brew another batch, all I would need to do is get the ingredients....correct?
