  1. Both Fox and MSNBC are pathetic excuses of "news" networks. Both tear down America's ability to have a well balanced and educated populace. I wouldn't call the three situations listed below as "scandals". What I find more interesting is that a certain segment of the voters refuse to accept that this President/administration has made mistakes and has done some stupid things. I also find it interesting that everything like this, the supporters and the administration all claim things like this happen well below the President. BUT, any little good thing that happens he is standing there taking credit for. Well, if the good things are the result of his actions, then why isn't the bad things that happen within his government?
  2. I have one very similar to this and I'm not happy with it.
  3. Hear, hear. And at the same time, making sure only legal people vote once.
  4. It very well might have been. The the GOP is going to have a very ugly internal civil war between the thinking part of the party, and the Tea Party sect. Unfortunately I can see how it is likely to turn out. If the Republican leadership had any mix of brains and balls, they would kick out everyone who is associated with the Tea Party. Wrong. I'm not a tea partier, but, they shouldn't be "kicked out" of the party. They just need to stop being the main voice of the party. The Dems didn't "kick out" the extreme liberal wack jobs. They simply stopped catering to them openly and started talking to the middle.
  5. Can't argue any of your theories. Something just doesn't feel right about this entire issue.
  6. I agree. I love this country the way it is as far as structure. But, the problems we have, the majority can't stomach what it will take to fix it.
  7. Obviously the top goal for Bo as head coach is to win championships. However, to get to that point, you must first raise the level of play and at the same time bring stability to the program. I believe he has done that and being probably one of 3-4 programs since 2008 to win 9 games per year after this season proves that. Also, he will have played in 3 CCGs in 5 years in two different conferences. I'll go to my grave believing one was robbed from us.
  8. After the last 4 weeks and what this team has the ability to accomplish, I would be very surprised if they come out flat this weekend. To get beat by either Minnesota or Iowa, they would need to be completely flat and uninspired. I don't see that happening. IF they come out with a mission and focused, I see them winning both of these last two games by more than 20 points. I'll take Nebraska against this spread.
  9. Ok, we have 14 commits. Offense: 1 QB 1 WR 3 OL 1 TE Defense: 2 DE 2 S 1 CB 3 LB I see us taking 22 - 24 in this class. That leaves 8-10 more players. It looks like to me we need to add to the class: 2-3 DT 1-2 RB 1 TE 2-3 OL 1 CB Is this how others see this class finishing out?
  10. My family always cringes when I use a knife. I actually am pretty good but in the last year I cut myself pretty bad twice. I stabbed myself once while cleaning a deer last year and then just about chopped the end of my thumb off chopping bell peppers this summer. My biggest question to anyone is what do you use to keep your knives sharp? I have have never been satisfied with my ability to sharpen my knives.
  11. Just stop and think for a moment the impact that will have on actually reversing our fiscal situation: both parties continuing to meet in the middle, agreeing that government bloat and waste is the greatest thing since sliced bread. If you identify as extremely conservative, then hoping that your party changes course to being moderately conservative in order to win is nonsense. Then get used to losing elections like this. Would you rather have someone like Obama in office or someone at least somewhat conservative. Obama is in office when many very liberal groups were very upset with him during his first term. But, they at least get a little bit of what they want.
  12. Heard was in on the first two series of the game.
  13. This is going to sound like I'm arguing with my own post. The Republicans need to do what the Dems have done and been very successful at doing. A number of years ago the Dems realized they are not going to be successful catering to the extreme. They realized that the liberal extreme will vote Dem no matter what. So, they stopped talking about them and talked to the people in the middle. I believe there has been a concerted effort within the Dem party to keep the extreme quiet. The Republicans on the other hand act like they have to constantly keep the extreme conservative happy and talk only to them. That leaves the middle with nobody they are proud to call "theirs". This election was decided by 2.3% of the vote. If the Republicans every figure this out, they can be very powerful.
  14. You are partially correct. There is going to be a big war in the party. However, neither part of the party has "won". Just because one part has been more vocal doesn't mean they have won.
  15. I know this is just fictional and people are playing around with this. BUT, I have absolutely no desire to to live in arguably a part of the bread basket of the world only to not have a port to export our ag products to our customers without going through other countries or common wealths. That said, I wouldn't mind being separated by the left and right coast sometimes.
  16. What did people find this weekend hunting deer? It appears that the population is WAY down in the area that I hunt. This is southern Custer County. This is either due to EHD or the drought or both.
  17. During the game, PSU's QB and their head coach at one point appeared to be complaining to the officials about the noise level. They appeared to want a penalty called on us. Did I see that right and what is the rule on this? I have never seen a flag thrown because of crowd noise but it appeared to be something that he and the coach obviously talked about before the game to try to get done. I hope the crowd got 10 times louder when they tried this.
  18. I left a forum where I agreed with a majority of the people to come here because I enjoy reading from people who I disagree with. When you completely shut out the other side, you lose a portion of reality. That goes both ways.
  19. I believe that it is bad if a small portion of the population is voting and deciding elections. It alway amazes me how few people vote. I'm going on memory here but of the roughly 25,000 people who live in my county, there were only something like 5,000 votes cast. Now, I understand that a portion of those people aren't old enough but still, take those out and that is a small amount voting. Voting needs to be made easy, accessable and fair. All the problems in places like Florida need to be fixed IMMEDIATELY. There is no excuse for that. However, I don't get heartbroken that uninformed people don't vote. I believe the only thing worse than someone NOT voting is someone voting that has absolutely no clue on the issues. That doesn't mean people who disagree with me. You can be very well informed and just see the world differently than me. It seriously means people who have absolutely no clue. This could be everything from people who just don't understand to people who are extreme elderly without the ability to make a decision to people who just simply don't care. All of these people should have the right to vote and that freedom should be made available to them. But, if they don't, that isn't a bad thing.
  20. Wow knapp... Your candidate won by something like 2.3% and all of a sudden you are the moral compass of America? I have stated on here how disgusted i am with the republican party. So if you plan on writing a dissertation on ask the things they do wrong that's your choice but you probably could save your fingers for something worth while. For the record, i very well may be leaving the republican party. That basically means i am someone without a party since i can't vote for democrats either.
  21. I can not believe someone picked a presidential candidate because he cries?...really?
  22. Who is in charge of setting up polling places?
  23. I'm in the middle of Wyoming go in land out odd service typing on my phone so not going to say much. But,i took you post as meaning who ever wins shouldn't gloat and the loser shouldn't be bitter. A number of your threads today rubbed me the other way.
  24. no, the supreme court (nor any judge) should be elected by popular vote. that is a terrible idea. then there would be no checks. the supreme court is to protect the minorities' rights. Bs .....the sc is there to protect the constitution. The constitution is there to protect all American.
