  1. All I can say is there's a good reason why Brad Nessler calls the games on NCAA Football video games
  2. I always thought this was funny but I don't even know if a Frat house could get through to the fourth quarter lol
  3. What???????? T_O_B G_B_R Y_R_A_I sorry should have added the I figured people would get the humor.
  4. Traditional option, not a whole lot. Defenses are faster it's harder to get to the edge we're still making yards. They tried the triple option at UCLA and that was bad. They have run the read option a lot and it's been very sucessful except on the goaline. I have to ask are we bringing this up just so we have something to whine about? Fire Barney! we can't run the option if he's coaching the O-line Bo sucks he doesn't want to run the option! Fire Beck he doesn't call the option!
  5. I know it's just Idaho State but if we play solid like that week to week we'll be fine. Have some confidence, we've been let down before but be honest other than UCLA we looked better in the non conference schedule this year compared to the last couple years. Even in UCLA we lost by six to a team playing with everything to gain and nothing to lose and we've seen improvements since even if it's against opponents that weren't very strong.
  6. I'm feeling something including Bird is the Word.. Have you Heard? haha
  7. Gameplan for next week. Line up with Rex and wear down the Badgers, then put in Heard/The Butcher and gash them, then finally bring in Cross and roll over the Badgers. Sound good?
  8. Wow Oregon St. up 24-10... watching a little bit of it and UCLA looks like they didn't get up for this game like they did against us.
  9. I'm guessing you are talking about the scarlets it's the dance team and I've always thought they looked better than the cheerleaders. The ladies are looking very nice today. At least there's something to look at for the fans since I bet it'll be a pretty vanilla second half.

  11. lol if you go to Huskers.com it has the post game press conference up as a live event! Maybe a thunderstorm will roll in and we'll have to call it quits like Florida State and Savannah St.
  12. I agree but you know by Monday we'll still be calling for somebody's head lol
  13. I love seeing the Emory Henry formation in there +1 Tim Beck
  14. Heck no let Rex get 400 yrds and 7 TDs so he can win the Heisman. Go ahead and pound these guys so they want to pound the good teams like Wis, OSU, Mich, Mich St, and we don't have any give up.
  15. I'm surprised I haven't seen anybody say anything about the D-linemen lining up right on the line of scrimmage. I guess we're too busy complaining that were blowing somebody out. Just be happy, some of us were too young to watch or care about the run of the 90's.
  16. No because Idaho State is terrible blah blah blah lol Either way we look impressive and didn't look past this game, if we play like this week to week we'll be fine.
  17. When Clownahan was here, that statement was true True not hard when your head coach is rubbing carmex on his lips every five seconds trying to figure out if he has herpes or not, the offensive coordinator is sitting in a booth doing a coloring book, and the defensive coordinator is in the bathroom calling a number for a "good time" Yea took that one a little too far lol
  18. Most people's arguments are that it didn't show class. Well I say that's a load of crap if giving up is losing with class. You never know what can happen, look at the music city miracle (I don't want to start an argument over whether or not it was a forward lateral or not). Yes it's five seconds, but who cares we complain if football players quit on a play or something because they don't play to the whistle and now we complain because a team tries to play until the final whistle?

  20. You know, i have to admit, when i heard Beth talking, i thought it was a guy who hadn't hit puberty yet. I was thinking Reba lol
  21. 10. Someone drinks all the kool-aid and says we will win the rest of our games for the year. #11 Berate poster of #8 for not leaving any kool aid for anyone else 12. Buy more beer 13. 3/4 of the Husker Board population still thinks they know more about coaching than our staff
  22. Reminds me of an old quote "stats are like bikinis, they show a lot, but still hide some vital information" We've seen this before it takes some time for the defense to gell because in our system the players rely on each other so much. That's a lot of why Bo chooses experienced upper classmen over younger guys, but they did adjust and came out strong last week and I think JP and the defensive staff will find the right formula. We do have a good team whether or not some people want to believe it or not. Not a national championship caliber team, but a good team. There isn't another game on the schedule that we can't win. I see Ohio State being the toughest and the Michigan teams will be interesting but I think out of those three we can easily win two and maybe come together and win out. Time will tell.
  23. Here at Iowa State we use our ISU cards and do the same type of deal, but you can print off a copy of your ticket to use or sell or whatever. It's free unless you have to print at the library and have used all of your printer usage I would hope UNL would do the same sort of thing. Also just because I'm here I got season tickets for the Cyclones and I don't ever want to go back to Jack Trice, very bad sportsmanship, not loud at all (even the student section), and just not a fun atmosphere. It sure makes me miss Memorial Stadium, hopefully I get there later this year.
  24. I thought it was a soild defensive effort. Considering so many people were thinking this was going to be 2007 vs. Ball State all over again and ASU had averaged over 500 yrds a game I don't think we need to complain. I understand where some people are coming from saying JP should attack more, but with that type of offense it's a very risk/reward type thing. You get too crazy and all of a sudden they have a play maker in space. Just one play to think about is the double pass, if PJ Smith doesn't stay home and contain all of a sudden ASU would have had a TD and people would be calling for JP's head...
