  1. Kentucky will never be able to sustain a high level of success. They could have a good season here and there, but no way will they be a regular top 15 team like LSU, Alabama, Florida, etc. It is his choice to go to Kentucky and play with weak talent around him.....just look at how weak their recruiting class is this season. I guess he doesn't want to play in a conference championship game, doesn't want to win a division title, doesn't want to play in a bowl game. His mom is screwing up his future. Oh well. Nebraska football is bigger than one player and we have two good Safety prospects already committed and we will recruit a solid Safety again for the 2014 class. Slow down.......The kid is currently a Nebraska commit Key word "currently." I just find it hilarious with kids these days. Need to find another word for "commitment" because unless they've been in a warzone or marriage, the word does simply does not belong. I might not have played college ball but commitment meant a lot more during my 8 year stint with the Marines. Rant over, ps not bad mouthing the kids talent but I just think it would be a boneheaded move going to an SEC bottomfeeder.
  2. Regardless of what the kid does, I wish him luck. Though I weep for his future if he goes to UK. Those SEC receivers will be styling on that D regardless. As much as UK wants to think they will be able to compete, they're a small fish in Great Lake sized league.
  3. Wrestlers usually end up being better choices for reasons you listed.

  5. a lot of recruits visit and never commit thats kind of the point of taking your visits to see where you want to go It's not the visit I really care about (wasn't official anyway) it's leading everyone on like a child for 2 days straight. I'd be perfectly fine if he said he wanted to see what happens until February. More power to him. NU isn't the first team he's said is the front runner. Wouldn't be surprised if its the last. Either way, I don't want the guy anyways. Rather have someone who wants to be here like Gregory than someone who only cares about his draft stock.
  6. I say forget this guy. I'm sick of this crap. We all know these high profile players aren't going to SEC schools for anything other than getting to the pros. Forget it! I would take a hundred Lavonte Davids who come in and work their ***es off and go in hard week in week out during practice and the game than kids who come here expecting a starting spot on a platter than leave when they get beat out. If Ben Bradley looks at these boards here's what I can tell you...."If your heart is not at Nebraska, that's fine. Just don't come into our house, wipe your feet on the floor, smile than leave. Don't tell reporters we're the "team to beat" than turn your phone off when we come calling on two separate occasions in the same week. If we aren't what you are looking for, I hope you enjoyed your visit, man up and say you aren't coming here." Rant over.
  7. I don't think Taylor should be on the bench but I'm also not opposed to seeing what Armstrong brings to the table. As I recall the same guy we are ripped now is the same guy who beat out Zac Lee 3 years ago. Tommy could do the same but we won't know if he doesn't get the opportunity.
  8. Is it cliche to say I hate it when I was wrong, because I was way wrong apparently.
  9. Go figure they get a score of a very simple end around. Was only what they used last week.
  10. What has changed? When did Wisky become world beaters? They come in losing 3 of the last 4. They start a Qb who hasn't hit a pass longer than 20 yards yet. Where is this hype coming from? You got Borland who I guarantee isn't completely over his injury. You got Abbrederis who is one hit from being a vegetable and he's their only deep threat. I don't get the skepticism lurking across the web and in the local community. I also don't know how we lose one guy (not downplaying his significance) and all the sudden our top 15 defense is gonna get run over. Is this a joke? It may just be me because i'm surrounded by people who view Wisky this goliath of a team. It's driving me crazy. Anybody else getting that vibe around town? Personally, I'm extremely optimistic about this match-up. If we come out and keep them off the board their first couple drives and keep the rock off the carpet, I don't see this being closer than 10 points in our favor. What does everybody think?
  11. Well if TV has taught me anything (it hasn't.) apparently kids care about the weather they play football in. That and....ya know the getting paid to play out there (Reggie Bush anyone?) Just kidding, but I know I wouldn't wanna work my butt off to get to the D-1 level and play in front of an empty stadium.
  12. If you wanna hear someone yell on every play and blatant favoritism of one team put a mic on a fan. If you wanna hear a professionalism and a generally neutral commentary, Nessler and Blackledge is your crew.
  13. I think Gus Johnson is about the most annoying commentator on TV.
  14. I feel good about our chances. As long as we keep them off the board early, I love our chances. The indoor field favors our offense. I think we cruise as long as we keep the ball of the carpet. I'm definitely ready to get the game over with. The build up is killing me. GBR!!!
  15. How Bell isn't 1st Team is shocking. Even more so is the Ciante didn't make the team at all.
  16. Beck needs to get canned, this is unacceptable. Every road game he calls plays like a moron.
  17. Typical flat start on the road. GOD I HATE HOW THEY COME TO PLAY ROAD GAMES!!!!!!!
  18. The revenue Notre Dame would bring in would be a big boost. They won't though, they're making bank off their TV contract with NBC.
  19. Wouldn't take either. Notre Dame is the only team I'd like to see join.
  20. I only played in High school. Couldn't afford to walk on. I do officiate middle and high school games now. Far as the call on that goal line. It was a toss up. I don't believe he broke the plain WITH POSSESSION, just my opinion. I'd hate to have to make that call. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't.
