  1. I think that is how Wisconsin people sugar coat their guilt over how sh**ty of a job of fans they were at last years contest. I'm sure they thought they were gunna get harassed by us as vengeance for last year. but now after seeing how we treat opposing fans, i bet they just feel like dicks
  2. agreed. the way that kid played Bo should be giving him a schollie any day now i imagine.
  3. I was over there as well checking things out. I find it interesting of how much they remind me of the CU and KSU people..........
  4. Wisconsin is struggling that is true. they aren't too the caliber they used too be. But in all this we should not lose sight of what matters. this team showed heart and determination. a lot of teams would have folded after that opening barrage Whisky handed us. But we got back up and punched those f'ers in the nose. That is a trademark you can't coach no matter how hard you try, its something the team learns through adversity. Lets just hope we use that lesson in our future contests.
  5. this, and that d bag beckman deserves way worse.
  6. NU and KS schools were sorta rivalries when they were good. CU kinda counts but only because their funny look funny and want too be us. we could soon add ND MSU if the 5 game ACC scheduling makes things difficult. ND seems too not value the Michigan school match ups nowadays. Biggest one lost recently was the back yard brawl between WVU and PITT. we may not see it again for a long time, it was the big Easts marque rivalry in recent years.
  7. I think either one of these is the player of the game. Add any other names you guys think deserve the credit however. But i am leaning towards Baker. Dude was quiet early this season, and last. but what a way too come out and bust his butt! Monte Ball and co. couldn't run it when they needed too. if he wasn't swallowing 2 blocks he was getting off of blocks and running down some great RB's. I really am happy for him. Good game too the team, wish we would have started better but a win is a win. GG Badgers you are tougher than people are and will give you credit for.
  8. Because Pedey had visions delusions of grandeur Fixed it for ya. thats better.
  9. Yes i totally agree. The big 10 loves history, and Rutgers is one of the 2 schools too first play the sport. beside the history it has a great team nowadays and as an academic institution is unparalleled. I think KU gets in too help us in basketball, i agree with you there. They may try too drag their retarded little brother K-state with them though................. This is the problem with the Big XII Kansas would be welcomed. Kansas State would NOT be. Oklahoma might be welcomed. Okie Lite would NOT be. 1. Texas and A&M would have been perfect but it's too late now. A&M seemed hellbent to be in the SEC as well. Rutgers is an eventual addition and besides being a fantastic public institution it is the official state school of New Jersey(The state with the most millionaires) they have started to invest a little more in football, It is a pretty talented state with one of the top high schools(Don Bosco) and it is basically an extension of the largest TV market in the US. The only problem is they need to either move as a tenant of Giants' Stadium in Seacaucus or invest in their football stadium to get it to 60,000-70,000. 52,000 is doable but with all the Big Ten alumni and fans on the east coast they will be getting big crowds for the big boys of the conference. Maybe play the IUs and PUs in Piscataway and the big guys at the Meadowlands. 1. just no........ the rest of it i agree. They have done some renovating but playing at an NFL stadium would be much more appealing too the big 10, and too future recruits too their program. I think rutgers joins in the next 10 - 20 years depending on if the big east stays a AQ, but will join sooner if it does not. if and when they join the conference i think the big 10 will extend an invite too KU too even out the divisions, and too resume what was one of the longest uninterrupted series in college sports in the KU NU game.
  10. Where Martinez progressed this year, Dennard regressed. Dennard is not a "QB". He's an athlete. he is an option QB, he aint meant for borges system. he is asking him too be a NFL QB in style, he sure aint that. last time we saw that was 2004 nebraska with Dailey and last year with martinez. we all know how that ended.
  11. Yes i totally agree. 12. really hope we get this kid signed. would love too see a great DT kid like this in the class.
  13. this same conference signed a TV contract after Nebraska left. you underestimate this conferences abilities. it is still considered a stronger conference over the big ten. and many consider too be deeper as well. Poaching teams from here is unlikely. 1.It will most definitely NOT be a stronger conference in 2 to 3 years once Meyer and Hoke get their recruits to be Juniors. And outside of football on the field it is a terrible conference 2.Please tell me what school has staying power outside of Texas & OU? 3.All things being equal on the field. No one is going to pay big bucks for WVU,Okie lite, TCU,Tortilla Tech,Baylor, KU,KSU or ISU. Iowa,Nebraska,Penn State, Illinois, Wisky,Sparty,scUM and OSU all have some of the biggest fanbases and alumni bases in the country. 4.It is a dead conference patched together with schools that can't stand each other and are strangers. Delaney could offer anyone of those schools a chance at the Big Ten and they would not be turned down by anyone but Texas and OU .They would be the only one's who would have to think about if that's what they want to do. You're looking at this from only a football stand point and the power brokers are not. too answer questions in order now. 1. your silliest comment yet. Texas and OU are powers with long term tenured coaches, too think Meyer and Hoke the Joke will surpass them in a 2 year span is hilarious. love your spirit though i really do. The Big 12 is a great basket ball conference, KU leads the way of course, Texas is always good, and Oklahoma is always strong. TTU had been solid but is now in transition. Baylor is consistently tough and last but not least KSU has had a good run. 2. silly question numero two. Kansas has a massive and deep pocketed basketball and football following. KU is always a fixture on ESPN over the BB season. their football sucks, but as we saw in 07 they can have success at Kansas. Okie lite is much more than you give them credit for. They are the nations premier wrestling school, the college wrestling hall of fame is in still water for heavens sake. They do well enough in other sports as well. Iowa state also has a great wrestling program top 5 on a good year, KSU has been too a final 4 in BB recently, Baylor won the womens BB championship.......i can go on if you want me too. These schools have all the ingredients for success in multiple sports. Including football. many BCS AQ conferences would entertain adding them. Its a deep conference in many sports but the cool aid your drinking is keeping you from seeing it. 3. All of these teams all fill their stadiumsevery saturday, ISU, KU, are the exceptions of course due too their recent failures. But these schools have large and financially reliable boosters. and what do you mean by spending the big bucks? NU sells out memorial stadium for every game, idk if you guys do that or not but for us we don't see filling the stadium as an issue. Fans will support their team no matter the opponent. and ESPN will air the game so long as one of the teams is top 25. And if they aren't that is why we gots the big 10 network. 4. another remark with no facts behind it. the schools that are 'strangers' in terms of years as members in the Big XII are the Texas schools and WVU. The rest have been full time members for just a couple years short of the century mark. that's a long time too play sports together for a bunch of schools who hate each other and are strangers don't ya think? and an even longer time too have been 'patched' together. And for the last part i didn't follow what you were trying too say there. may need to retype that. Good debate though, this is fun.
  14. this same conference signed a TV contract after Nebraska left. you underestimate this conferences abilities. it is still considered a stronger conference over the big ten. and many consider too be deeper as well. Poaching teams from here is unlikely.
  15. the only reason why they had power in the SWC and the Big XII is because they had their little Texas schools with them that they can push around. There is no way they are getting any big influence with the Good ole boys in the Big Ten or SEC. UGA is voting with R-Barn and Ole Miss, Iowa is voting with Northwestern and Wisconsin. There is no Baylor or Tortilla Tech to get on your side. I think you are forgetting something here. Texas, Baylor, and Texas tech are package deal as per the Baylor Texas tech dominated law makers in Austin. that's how they ended up in the big 12 deal. and any deal with Texas entering the Big 10 will involve their retarded little brothers entering as well. That is why when the pac 12 was in negotiations with Texas about adding them and the Oklahoma schools, Baylor and TTU where required too go with the longhorns for the deal too finalize. When Texas considered other options with out is sidekicks Baylor and TTU these schools alumni in the Texas legislature threatened legal action (AKA suing them). Texas fans regularly complain about this fact. Most notably at the shaggy bevo site. These schools have ruined more than one attempt by Texas too move too a new conference, it would be foolish too think this time would be different. They won't have much of a choice when people realize that the Big XII is a house of cards with only two worthwhile properties. If WVU,TCU,ISU,KU,KSU,TTU or BU have any prolonged success I'll wear a scUM shirt. Regardless, NONE of those schools are worth a dime when it's time for the Big XII to renew their TV contracts. They have UT, OU and potentially Okie lite although I don't think they will bring in ratings even if they are good. Tortilla Tech, TCU and Baylor will never be allowed into the Big Ten. EVER. Really the only Texas buddy that UT can bring along is not even in the Big XII and that is Rice U(A&M isn't leaving the SEC so they are out) Just the same way Okie lite isn't stopping OU from leaving if they have to, in the end BU will not get in the way of UT if there are no other options. No matter what the BU politicians and judges say. Just the same way BU threw TCU,RU,SMU and UH under the bus in the 90's. I think everyone acknowledges that the Big XII is dead. It's only a matter of time before they break up since they really can't add any viable schools. Then you just reaffirmed why Texas cannot go big 10. Texas legislature will make sure its a package deal, it's that simple. Texas threw those schools under the bus, those schools too UT were little more than wins on the conference schedule and once the conference died they were of no use anymore. Baylor and Tech are along for the ride here, a large majority of the Texas legislature went too school at these places, they would rather die than see their beloved alma mater reduced too a non BCS AQ conference. and as such have twisted things around too make sure these three aren't split up. And if Texas tries something cute they will sue them under the table and cut their state funding for a time as leverage. The Big XII is near dead that is true, but people would be mistaken if they though Texas would be dumb enough too give up the controls of a BCS AQ conference where they run the show. They are in full control with Oklahoma having something of a say. That's a lot of power too throw away too become a regular joe in the big 10. They will suffer through for as long as they can, and that could be decades.

  17. Certain people in the know see to think otherwise It will take a couple of years until the Big Ten's current TV contract is up to add 4 more teams but there are some big fish that they are trying to lure in. Crimson & Cream are the colors of one of the rumored schools I wouldn't be surprised if during the next TV Deal the Big Ten branches out with school specific alternate networks like BTN-OSU or BTN-PSU(if a school chooses to have one) leading to Texas potentially converting the Longhorn Network to BTN-UT This has been small talk around Big Ten for a couple of years ever since the LN was conceived and the last part it is almost pure extrapolation on my part but it could realistically happen because their would be plenty of demand for at least 5 or 6 Big Ten schools. @ Woody hayes 1951 not being mean but this is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. Texas ruled the southwest confrence, and ran that titanic right into a ice berg and sank it. they came too the big 12, they came in and told everyone how it was gunna be. and if they didnt get their way they would leave. After Nebraska got tired of them and went BIG 10 they have proceeded too run the big 12 into the dirt, adding WVU? really? If the big 10 adds Texas i am fairly confident NU would leave, and they would sink the big 10 too. Whats more the longhorn network would net them more than 24 million which big ten members recive. Texas won't join with out getting a cut and keep their longhorn network income. These guys are all about an unfair advantage. too know where that mentallity comes watch ESPN 30 for 20 pony excess.
  18. I like it. Like Els said yesterday, it's just another recruiting tool. And in today's society, cool new uniforms are a bigger recruiting tool than ever before. Hit it on the head. This will be a solid recruiting tool. Not as big of one as Oregon but still a tool too be used. We needed too get on this sooner. When Notre Dame is considering alternates it means its almost not cool anymore.
  19. He wishes he could sniff Keith Jackson's jock strap He wishes he could lick it in the hope it cures his mushmouth disorder.
  20. Thats terrible photo shoping......but i love it.
  21. i want Kieth Jackson too do the game..................
  22. I think your right. And if that is the case this is became a whole lot more dumb.
