Wanna know why we should demand change? We are an average team in an average conference. We rely on hail mary passes to beat winless conference teams. We make the dumbest play calls and put players in bad positions. Example: Pulling Pensick on our ONE yard line with little to no splits. You run a QB draw when you are trying to kill the clock instead of hand it to AA or Cross or hell even take a knee. We literally have one of the least experienced staffs in a BCS conference. We have possibly the worst special teams unit in the country with exception to field goals. Apathy is setting in everyone and once it takes over we will officially become a has been and fight for moral victories like Iowa.

I hope you handed out fun size candy and juice boxes to the team after the game. Maybe handed out participation medals too

This thread is comical, fans trying to rationalize our mediocrity. Blaming the young defense for the UCLA game. The reason so many of them are young? 3 years of recruiting failure on the defensive side of the ball. Then the Minny game wasnt a bad loss.....We have continually lost to teams that either out execute us. Bo preaches process etc yet his team fails to ever put it together in 6 years. In regards to comparing our crap show to what Osborne did is a joke. We are not getting spanked by Alabama each year we are getting spanked by teams like UCLA who are not even top 10. Bo is 3-9 his last 12 games against top 25 opponents. His W total is inflated thanks to crappy scheduling and a weaker than expected conference. The B1G is hiding how bad we truly are guys.

This is just the tip of the iceburg......so many more stories etc will now begin to leak....Pelini is done before the season ends

USC and Texas will have the cajones to can their coaches this season and pay big boy money to try to be relevant. The longer we wait the farther we will slide. Moving to the B1G saved Bo Pelini and cursed NU. Bo would have been completely picked apart the last three seasons in the Big XII. We moved to a weaker, wealthier conference at just the right time for Bo.

we are no closer to titles now than we have been in the last decade. We are still nationally irrelevant because of our poor leadership aka Pelini. The play calling in the 2nd half was a not lose mentality. How do you expect your players to respond when you stop attacking? Oh well Bo won us a trophy of a whale a few years ago and "order was restored" Nebraska is back! Instead we are the laughing stock of the blue bloods because we get curb stomped against good teams...not great teams, good teams.

Bo will go down just like Callahan. He is too loyal and it will screw him out of millions of dollars. How an AD allows a coach to hire so many first timers is beyond me at a place like NU.

You really think that what Bo said is what a head football coach at the University of Nebraska should say? This is something a middle school girl says when she hears one of her friends doesn't think she is very pretty. Bo simply needed to say something like "I respect what Tommie has done for this football program however I obviously have to disagree with him" something simple and sweet. Instead he goes off on some tangent about throwing stones yada yada yada and we don't need him. Sorry but that is not how Bo should have reacted. Now he just poured gasoline on the dumpster fire he started.

Bo's making 3.1 mil now. If it comes to this, another mill and half or so is NOT gonna be an issue if boosters and the AD are serious about it. But it would be a very critical decision. But again, the wheels have to completely come off '07 style. Basing such a decision as we did in '03 will just cause another disaster, I believe. I actually completely disagree. If we get blown out a few more times this season and potentially do not make the B1G championship Bo will be gone and no one will think twice of it. The national media is already writing columns about how Bo has flat lined and his defense is crap. Everyone has watched us get spanked over and over again with Bo as our HC. In 2003 we showed massive improvement and were only a couple years removed from a national championship. We were still nationally relevant. Fast forward to the present and you have a program that has declined each season under Pelini. Everyone sees is nationally and we are no longer nationally relevant because of it. Completely different in my opinion.

If we are willing to open up the checkbook, which I believe we are as this is the hire that could take us back to elite or hamper us even more. We have to throw around big money to show how serious we are. 4 mil a year at some of these names that have been mentioned at the very least get some coaches talking about NU and how serious we are.

plenty of options for us. I am also in the group that feels we need a person with HC experience. I can see Frost making his way back here but not at this time. I want him to dominate as the OC and then hopefully take a mid major HC gig and show what he is made of. Whenever we have another HC vacancy regardless of where Frost is he would most likely come home. Doug Doeren is on my short list

Landing Newell will help me sleep at night. He is a stud in the 500 mile radius. We gotta keep building our classes with these kinds of guys and sprinkling in speed from the coasts and Texas

I still want a JUCO DT this class and to trim some dead weight off the DL as well.

We have had plenty of misses on the DL that are still on our roster. The incoming freshmen are a mystery as well as if Gregory shows up. This season will tell us all a lot

Offense: QB Martinez looked solid, RK3 and Armstrong showed they are capable as well. Armstrong looks like he can be a 3 yr starter. Rb: cross does look a little bit lighter on his feet. Will still do the most damage running downhill in pistol and I formations. Frazier will play this year IMHO Wr: best and deepest position on team Moore and Westercamp look the part TE: they were better than I thought they would be and appear to have solid hands OL: gotta hold judgement until UCLA DL: gotta hold judgement until UCLA too LB: athletically they look the part, Bo needs to get them mentally ready if we want to get over the 4 loss hump DB: we were running the basics out there so offensive advantages make it a little unfair. Again will have to hold off total judgment when it isn't 1 vs 1 and is mixed like this. Was surprised by Cooper and H. Jackson at the safety spots. Kick/Punt Bondi definitely has a strong leg. Wind obviously aided this so it can't really pass judgement yet. Punting was solid but again gotta wait until the wind dies down

Expect us to make a run at J. Davis transfer from Tulane. Is on the Russell Wilson plan and will have one year of immediate eligibility. Averaged 17+pts and 10+ rebounds per game for Tulane. This per Robin Washnut via twitter
