Agreed but I'll give him one 5 loss year in the first 3 years if he has to change players or fix recruiting of different style of players that fit his scheme.
That's a fair point, I will accept that as an addendum.
Every game, the players give it their all.
A conference title once a decade is the bare minimum, preferably one conference title every 5 years.
5 losses = unacceptable. 4 losses = bare minimum. 3 losses or fewer = good.
This sums it up perfectly.
I like Bo Pelini. I want him to succeed. But it gets to a point where you have to weigh the future of the program versus the future of his coaching career.
Wait, who among us is calling for such crap against Bo? I still want to see this team win out and get to the conference title game, I'm still rooting for them.
I hate that this is what we get to talk about midseason instead of excitement about the team's prospects for the rest of the season.
The UCLA loss sucked, but this Minnesota loss just took all the wind out of our sails.
how do you know? You have to see evidence on the field and I can't say I have.
When this team is on, they are on, come on, look at the first quarter against UCLA!
That's the thing that bugs me the most about Pelini's teams. There is a lack of urgency almost every game.
Now, last year, we saw that urgency actually a bit with the comebacks, but it didn't show up until late in the game.
Even in hindsight, I say it was the right call. Bo did bring us back out of the mire from the Callahan years, and that is something I will always remember.
