  1. If he is from Wisconsin, why is the title of that article refer to him as an Iowa LB?
  2. This post is obviously a joke, but I don’t get it. So, here is a link showing official stats from the ACCAC season last year. It has Fair recorded for 98 total tackles, and 23 tackles in one game against Scottsdale CC. 5 tackles against Snow. http://www.accac.org/sports/fball/2017-18/players/tonyfair2b0g
  3. When was the last time you saw/heard a recruit use the word “school”?
  4. 247 has a new "Commitment Watch" feature. Cool stuff, if you got to know about the future plans of 17-18 yr old HS boys in real-time. :)

  5. Maybe they should have a deadline for changing or locking in predictions that is retroactive to the commitment. Say, a week or so. Many times you see "predictions" flying in with a day (or a few hours) before a commitment. Not much of a prediction, if you hear about a commitment before it becomes public.
  6. Glad you are using the board. However, I asked why would you assume Putnam is at the top of Nebraska's board, not Huskerboard's board? Obviously, as fans, we look at stars and rankings more than the coaches, who do their own evaluations. So, to say "look at those stars" means little as it pertains to a true argument to convince me that Nebraska is interested. Second, my post is not to dog you specifically, but to ask the question, "where is the evidence that Nebraska under Frost is interested in Putnam"? Your post prompted me to look for any news that Nebraska is making in roads with Putnam, I can not find anything. Maybe there are reports offered by recruiting services with a paywall (which I do not subscribe to), but beyond that, there is nothing to validate your comment.
  7. There has been zero activity with this guy since Frost’s staff arrived in Lincoln. Why are you assuming he is at the top of Nebraska’s OG list?
  8. Kathleen HS are the Red Devils...Go Big Red. At least if he chooses Nebraska, he will have practice with our chant.
  9. Sorry to hear about this frustrating situation. I would pursue both opinions you outline. Depending on the nature of your relationship with your former/prospective boss, you may have another conversation specifically about your difficulty interacting with their company's HR women. If anything, you may be able to get an email address to direct your inquiries toward. Still, there is no harm re-opening your job search to create alternative opinions.
  10. His first tweet says he will be making a commitment while the second says he will be releasing a Top 5. Maybe he is "committing" to release a Top 5, or there was a recruit that released a Top 5 list by saying he is "committing" to these 5 schools. Either way, the old man part of my brain is yelling...
  11. These two tweets a day apart and in that particular order has me like...

FYI last light was at 9:47pm tonight here. There is definitely still light in the sky right now at 10pm. What does last light even mean?

Work on the 5th?  What kind of masochist doesn't take the 5th off?

The Dude- If I dont work on the 5th, who is going to take a nap at my desk? Someone has to do the hard work.

ZRod- Quit lying to the people of Huskerboard.

  14. Also, does he count against the 85-man roster while on his mission? I assume not.
  15. They just opened the Red Sea Floodgates. That poll doesn't stand a chance.
  16. For some perspective, I also found that 18% of sacks result in fumbles, and 47% of them are not recovered. So, 8.5% or about 1 of 12 of sacks result in TO. There are 2.3 sacks per game, so you might get a fumble sack resulting in a TO in 1 of every 6 games. #SundayStats
  17. I can't get on board with the idea that strip sacks resulting in TO, and not loss of yardage and down, is the reason sacks stop drives. I got these data from the 2017 NFL season because it was easiest to find. The average sack yielded 6.2 yards lost (not to mention the loss of a down). In 2017, the average Drive Success Rate (DSR; which measures the percentage of down series that result in a first down or touchdown) was at 68.2%; however, with a single sack (not strip sack resulting in a TO), it dropped the DSR average to 16.01%. This is a HUGE difference in if a drive is sustained or not. Sacks drastically change the mentality of the offense and defense during a drive. An offense facing 2-&-16 vs 1-&-10 or 3-&-7 instead of 2-&-1 limits the playbook, and that fact makes it easier for the defense to anticipate plays and scheme against them. 18. Your minimum ACT score needed to be eligible is now relative to your GPA. Lower GPA, higher ACT required.
  19. Check out his HB profile. He graduated HS in June but needs a 20 on his ACT to become eligible to enroll at UNL. Will take it on 7/24, but it is not clear if he will need an academic RS year because he did not have all of his core courses completed by his Junior year, a NCAA requirement.
  20. State bird is the meadow lark...maybe Lark-R. Of course, that kind of sounds like lurker when you say it out loud.
