  1. Those shooting % are not going to cut it!
  2. Jacobsen? I dont think so. We did technically add some height in some aspects. Ed Morrow= 6'7 Andrew White= 6'7 Jack McVeigh=6'7 Yes, Jacobsen. Don't knock him until you seen him play. Good BB IQ. Morrow is currently listed at 6'8" and Hammond should be better. KK was just TOO SLOW!
  3. Our 6'8" Freshman will be better than KK.
  4. Not sure I agree! Offensive numbers have not changed, it was mental mistakes that cost us runs this last year.
  5. This was about family, but I agree with TonyS as it is too easy for a coach to move without any consequences.
  6. They had 5 wins against a very poor schedule last year and the teams that were good torch them! I have seen him play and yes he is playing out of position, but he is in no why the same level as DPE!
  7. It is a big loss considering this staffs mission statement was to lock up the 500 mi radius. I'm of an understanding that the best in state kids have that much more importance to them. I think people are lining the in state kids up with the other recruits in the class and dismissing their potential because we are so close/familiar with how things look and run in our state on the HS level. I consider this a big loss because of years we go in this state without these kinds of D1 quality kids. Can't have them leaving. To me it's pretty simple stuff and disturbing we may lose the top 2 guys in the state for whatever reason or circumstance. They have to be kids that want to be here and want to bring back Husker tradition. This one did not!
  8. I read this as they only have 3 commits total. They received three on that day. They total 21, including 17 in June! Doesn't appear to be a great class, star-wise. 12 three stars, 7 twos and one unranked, according to Rivals. They have a new practice facility, but so far that hasn't seemed to attract any stars. Take the source of the tweet! Anything I see from him, I ignore!
  9. We also lost a couple guys from the Class of 2015. They weren't from Nebraska, though, were they? No. I don't think anyone said they were. Bussey and Reuben Jones are the two I remember decommitting. I guess when I read this: It sounded like he was talking about other Nebraska recruits decommitting, not just all the decommits in general. Maybe I'm reading it wrong. I don't think Bo every had a Nebraska kid decommit. #RileySucks (sarcasm) Thats because he recruited very few of them
  10. Guys, its not a big loss. He was a good player on a bad lower class team.
  11. Good athlete in a small Nebraska school. You always want your local kids to stay, but this is not a big loss.
  12. This kid is a giant! He is must to rekindle the pipeline of old!
  13. Recruiting has a lot to do with being able to evaluate talent, bring in players that fit your system (no matter the star rating) & coaching them up. You need success to get the top players to come to Nebraska to play. But you cannot win & have success without recruiting a competitive team. Its about winning and being able to play at the next level.
  14. Recruiting. You have to find the kids that fit your system. I agree with dylan, success make recruiting easier.
  15. Im not sure anyone is ranking Riley anywhere close to Bill Snyder in real life The guy deserves his due Erickson came in behind Riley and they didnt miss a beat, did better in fact When Snyder left KSU fell apart and Snyder resurrected them again- with recruiting classes in the 40s, 50s, 60s, Just quoting stats. I think Snyder is a good coach, just not as great as you are portraying him to be! I also believe Riley is a much better teacher & fit for the Huskers.
  16. Really, in comparison to recruiting ranks to final football rankings. Bo was +3, Snyder was +10 & Riley was +18. Riley does more with less and Oregon St. is a worse place to recruit than K St.
  17. The bigger the recruit the harder it is to bring them in. If we win, it will get easier. Remember, these kids were not even born yet when the Huskers were in the national picture every year.
  18. Osborne always had NE kids & so did Bo. But Bo's staff were not great teachers. These kids have heart and understand the tradition that started to decline during the Callahan era to present. Riley, like TO, will teach and hopefully bring back the tradition.
  19. Santos has never looked the same after his injury and with his lack of speed, this defense does not fit him. I wish him luck in whatever he decides to do.
  20. I agree. I thought this game was won due to USC being in better physical shape than we were.
  21. Decent guess but I'd suspect Dilday and Meyers would swap outfield postions with Dilday in left. And I know you didn't include any incoming jucos or freshmen, but IF we don't pick up some offense via that route, I don't see much improvement from this year..... Agreed. That lineup is not something anyone will be even the least bit afraid of unless they all improve enormously over the off season. Yes, but thing you need look at is that in this list is 5 Fr., 4 So. & JR who the ball well when he played & Sr. who was batting well before he was hurt. Alvardo & Schreiber looked good at the end of the yr. Plus our other 2 starters (Knutson & Hohnensee) looked good times and they are So. I like what we have coming up and this does not count incoming players.
  22. When? Petteway & Shields were getting double & triple teamed, because no one else on team could score more than 7 points a game.
