  1. Really, Miles is still in his honeymoon and is putting together the best recruiting class in Nebraska history. He has 4 top 100 players on the roster and is getting 4 start players to at visit. He is filling the arena and the Univ. is showing future recruits that he is going to be here for at least 4 years.
  2. Once we get into the B1G it will be Watson at point. I love Parker's defensive mine set, but he is a offensive nightmare. He is fast, but can not handle pressure, decision making is questionable & he throws up bricks.
  3. Scoring can not be any worse than last year, so there is a bright side having scorers coming into the program even if they are young. Parker on the other hand is a defensive specialist. His ball skills under pressure are not the greatest, so having 2 new point guards are a big plus. Inside play, especially rebounding will be an issue. Hopefully, Hammond has improved and Morrow can play big.
  4. I agree! Offense will be better and think pitching will be a pleasant surprise.
  5. I do not agree with a firing, but feel both games had some issues with poor coaching decisions. There were some good performances this year and some bad and the coaching was more to the bad than good. New coach, so hopefully he can learn from his mistakes.
  6. I would rather see Dilday, Boldt & Alverado in the outfield.
  7. I talked to couple of the players at a graduation party last night. The whole team is very disappointed, but they think they can win the tournament. In talking to them, I wondered if they were not pressing a little too much.
  8. 2 star only means that he has not been evaluated. More often, these kids get recruited by a bigger school and get bumped to a 3. I think Callahan & Bo recruited based on the stars, where Riley looks for talent that will fit his system. Moreover, Riley needs to prove he can win before these higher star players commit. Most of these kids were not even born when the Huskers were really good. If 4.7 40s 'fit his system', I'm worried. Lack of evaluation kind of worries me too. Maybe the 'resource' thing hasn't quite set into to Riley's mindset yet. Really!! An average 40 for high school kids is 4.7. We do not know if this elec. or manual, as manual times are far from correct. These kids can and most likely will get faster. He might be at 4.6 or 4.5 by the time he goes to college. There is a lot more than just speed in a good running back: vision, agility, power, blocking & receiving for a few. I agree this kid does not look good on paper, but I trust this coaching staff. Has Riley shown he is not capable of recruiting at NE?
  9. Before becoming a full time assistance, Peter was the head coach of my son's high school soccer team. This a great tragedy as Peter was not only a great coach, but a great person. He is the kind of coach that fit the Husker profile. Competitive spirit with good old home town values. Our thoughts and prayers are with Peter's family and friends.

  11. Maybe Riley learned something from TO, as we always 5 or 6 east coast guys on our roster.
  12. This is like Bo ball, too many mental errors and lack of communication.
  13. You can not beat good teams with 3 errors. Nice effort in the come back!
  14. Darby's error was classic. I seen better catches in High School!
  15. This staff has been trying to add some big lineman. My guess he has the frame to add the weight.
  16. This kid is a workout fanatic. My guess is lots of protein shakes!
  17. Agreed. A lot of people are getting worried over nothing...way too earlier to judge the staff now.. let it play out atleast a recruiting cycle before everyone calls them out We just have a lot of star gazers on this sight! With social media, kids are more informed. Riley is new and must prove that he can be a winner at Nebraska.
  18. Sounds like we may have a new asst. coach!
  19. I found another site that states that it does not count toward the annual 25, but counts toward the 85 total.
  20. An athlete can be put on scholarship and not be counted as an initial counter until the following year if: He was not recruited; and He signs the scholarship after the start of fall practice. The player would have to come to Nebraska and walk-on without being recruited by the coaches. I have no clue how this is regulated.
  21. Are you sure about this? Seems like that would be incredibly easy to exploit. Yes, but there were other parts to the rule. I will see if I can find the rule and post it.
  22. I agree with better recruits, but recruiting is about relationships and we are still in the honeymoon. In addition, many players want to win and play in the NFL. We need to learn how to win the big games. I think recruiting will get better, but it may take another year.
