Losing recruits were expected and Riley has done a good job keeping the class we have. If a kid does not want to come to NE, he needs to move as he will not be happy in the future.

Injuries & lack of consistent point guard play is our down fall. Hope we have a good enough record for the NIT. -

Your HC is a pretty good one. Agreed, but he is also the CEO. He needs someone who teaches the same technique and be the one on one coach. -

We just need an experienced QB coach, something that has been missing at UNL. -

No thanks. Agree with Warrior10 Agreed!, no thugsI dont think hes a thug. Just getting away from a crowd that could pull you in bad directions can be good for a lot of kids.First time is a mistake & maybe the second time, but after that your priorities are screwed up!What is he convicted of doing? Pretty sure includes Grand Theft Auto Stole a teachers car that is when UNL said no way. -

He was 50/50 with Bo. He was looking at others schools the whole time he was committed to the Huskers. -

Strength and conditioning Mark Philipp

Confused about first timers, as Dobson was at SMU & Iowa. Plus I have a feeling that Epply will be in control, which means finding a good young coach to replace him will be the best option. -

What else would you consider positive? How about; "one of 15 strength and conditioning coaches certified as a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. " And "A certified strength and conditioning specialist and a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association" Because that was Dobson and we all think we needed someone else, I'll defer to the people making this hire that they know what is needed more than us Assoc. credentials mean nothing other than I pay my dues & went to association training. Nebraska has been soft for years! My point exactly all those certifications sound positive, yet we all wanted a change I know nothing about Dobson's background, but he did not do a good job at Nebraska. In the 90s, I used to take some of the players hunting. There were some big boys. Doing the eye test, today's OL is soft and are not even close to the players of the past. -

From the Lincoln Journal Star: FootballScoop is reporting, per a source, that USC assistant strength coach Mark Philipp will be the new head strength coach of Husker football. Nothing has been announced about the position on Nebraska's end. There is limited info out there about Philipp. He did spend some time at Oregon State while Mike Riley was there. Most recently Philipp been working at USC, under the Trojans' well respected head strength coach Ivan Lewis, who this past February was named the Samson Equipment and American Football Monthly FBS Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year. -

Source is not a Husker coach, but a guy from OMAHA. This may not be true! -

Papuch was over his head and drownig. You could tell Bo took the defense over in the second half of the IA game.
-
This is the way it used to be. McBride said that they looked for bigger safteys and converted them to LB. With Bo, our LBs seemed to react too slow. Bring me speed!
-
Getting him on campus is the first step.
-
Can we have ameer give him a call? Fairly certain NCAA investigated John Blake for doing similar things Why would Ameer do this when he does not know the staff? Yet!

Nobler, Several Others, Probably Out

I think this job, thought it may have not been an actual position, goes back all the way to the run in the 90's. it was another one of those things that Nebraska was so far ahead of the rest of the country in. Film study. Nebraska was way ahead of the curve in utilizing the most up to date technology to breakdown film and have all the "bullsh#t" taken out so coaches could be far more efficient with film study themselves and with the team than anyone. So who was the video coordinator when Solich and Callahan got fired? Did they get replaced or resign, or retire? Under Callahan was Bryan Carpenter and was let go after Callahan was fired. -
That was not hard to figure out. Ya well with the previous staff we couldn't even figure out who our best players were.........I'm not used to a staff that can do their job They knew, but played favorites!

TP is ranked 61st, unless he moves way up I can not see him leaving early. -
