    B1G Week 7

Other than NW, all are games that mean something. Must win for NU. Next up in the West, Iowa and PurDon’t. We get to see who Maryland, Wiscy and Rutgers really are. Little Brown Jug, which is the one trophy with a cool story behind it.
  2. He got that much done? If I remember he had to 'steal' funds from other places and then got sued for doing that. I thought it was more like 40 miles of wall completed but I honestly don't remember. Texas has put up floating barriers and are being told to take them down by the administration. Now Clinton is chiming in. Mentioned how NY lost seats over crime policies and immigration is next. https://www.foxnews.com/media/bill-clinton-calls-migrants-begin-working-paying-taxes-paying-their-way-new-york-city
  3. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2023/10/01/gov-hochul-concedes-border-is-too-open-and-that-a-limit-needed-on-who-can-cross/amp/ Welcome to the party Governor...too late...must be an election year. Maybe this happens when a non border state starts to feel the burden.
  4. I agree. Michigan built the OL and DL first. They made it to their first CFP with Cade McNamara who is now the injured starting Iowa QB. Cade was a game manager and tough competitive kid out of Nevada. He could not come close to beating out the current M QB so he transferred.
  5. That should have been a turnover by M.
  6. 4 games in, kids are opting to keep their redshirt and punch out.
  7. KEY MATCHUP: TURNER CORCORAN vs ANYBODY. I have never seen the like of the above. Block somebody!
  8. I would worry more about what the NU offense can do against the M defense. Keeping it close might be 0-0. Unless the D scores or gets a turnover in field goal range.
  9. Even Democrat leaders are crying uncle on migrants. Eric Adams wants a state of emergency in New York. Chicago is getting overwhelmed as are Eagle Pass and El Paso TX. If we are in control of our Southern border why can't we simply shut off the spigot until the water drains and then turn it back on at reasonable level? "New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Wednesday called for the federal government to declare a state of emergency to manage the "crisis" at the border, saying the influx of asylum seekers could end up costing the city billions of dollars in the coming years." https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/20/us/texas-border-eagle-pass-migrants.html https://www.politico.com/news/2023/09/27/dems-migrant-crisis-biden-00118001 If Dems aren't careful some idiot promising to build a wall will win the presidency.
  10. What will the Trump Biden debates look like in '24? An empty podium for Trump and Biden remote from his basement telling fanciful stories and answers that have nothing to do with the question. This election will be wonderful. maybe Trump will zoom call in from jail and then pardon himself when he wins.
  11. Sorry. Double post, and as usual, I have nothing useful to say.
  12. Yup. They dona great job dissecting post game too.
  13. I forgot about Virginia. I don't think they were rattling their sabor to leave, but they know they have a home. UVA, NC, Clemson and FSU would be a serious encroachment on SEC territory. I don't think they let that happen.
  14. Agree. Maybe NC follows and picks the Big10. I think when the dust settles it forces NDs hand.

  16. I ask coworkers in Austin and the bay area how the cities are, the reports are not good. Everything from feces to safety. Read today about Oakland businesses protesting because of crime. They actually want more police presence. Good luck. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/oakland-businesses-strike-public-safety/3325912/%3famp=1 Stores closing or leaving... https://m.startribune.com/theft-crime-spur-target-close-nine-stores-four-states-minneapols-san-francisco-portland-seattle-nyc/600307683/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/US/san-franciscos-retail-exodus-crime-experts/story%3fid=101100884 Do city leaders just want downtowns to die? 17. Everything I have read points to how much Michigan respects the Husker D, fans included. First road game for Michigan too, in a great venue. I believe NU D should have beaten CU if the QB holds on to the ball. The NU offense is going to have to sustain drives to keep this one close though. It will be a good test for Ms run D. Last week the Rutgers QB had some success keeping the ball. Last week was also the first time Ms first string DBs started. Michigan's Oline is still not set. Maybe NUs D can take advantage of that.
  18. Michigan treated the first 3 games like NFL preseason. Keeping kids healthy was priority 1. They limited carries for the backs. Lots of freshman receivers got reps. They looked for a backup QB. The 1st and second string OLs were mix and match. The tackles were still rotating versus Rutgers…1 quarter per half each. Their starting QB was literally taking 90 degree angles for the sideline to keep from getting hit.
  19. If you do that…you become Michigan State. You don’t want that.
