  1. Sounds like he's already recruiting for A&M. Don't think he was ever going to wait for us to counter offer.
  2. They have the 19th most assistant salary pool in the country and 4th most in the B1G at $2.1M Bama is 1 the assistant coaches pool is about $3.9M tOSU is 4 and theirs is about $3.2M 19th out of 65 is ok, but its not elite. I use 65 as that will be the 'Power 5' plus Notre Dame. Anyone not in that pool of schools is not remotely on the same financial level. I think Nebraska needs to commit more to ACs but our current staff isn't really deserving of being highly paid. If we want to bring in some major league coaches and recruiters, we need to pay major league money, no doubt. Right now, we've got a bunch of guys with weak resumes on staff save a few.
  3. I'm not sure we should take his comments at face value. It's been rumored for some time that Terry has been looking for other opportunities down south. While it may be tempting to blame the admin, there's a good chance this is about more than money.
  4. Not sure he has. CB recruiting has been botched pretty bad the last two cycles. I think he's a fine coach but we need somebody that delivers in recruiting.
  5. Top 15 finish is a good, solid season. I think with a good coach we should finish there at least 60% of the time. Win the conference 25-30% of the time. Finish in the top 25 90% of the time.
  6. Sip has mentioned that Bo has told him that in several of his columns. From a previous column when talking about making staff changes "Based on previous conversations with Bo, I'd be very, very surprised if he would acquiesce to such a demand. In fact, I'd be shocked. He said recently he likes his staff. He told me he feels he has "the tightest staff in America." There might be an AC or two leave on their own but I don't expect Bo to make any changes unless he's forced to by SE.
  7. Just to add to your post Brian Christopherson ‏@HuskerExtraBC19m Asked if all those guys would be part of the program come January, Pelini said: "We'll see." #Huskers
  8. Realignment hasn't been the problem, not having a good coach is the source of our woes.
  9. The coaches have to install that culture first though, then the players can police themselves once the coach has established it and the culture is ingrained. Bo's never properly installed that type of championship culture. This should have been done in Bo's first year, but we're talking about it in year 6 going on 7.
  10. '87-'93 were tough years Sure would be nice to see Bo bring those "tough" times back. We won the conference 4 times in those years and played elite teams in those bowl games. The 1993 team almost won the NC. Not even comparable to what we have now.
  11. Donation requirements for season tickets in 2014 have dropped significantly from 2013. It's not just bowl game attendance that is beginning to suffer.
  12. People aren't excited about the product on the field. This is no surprise.
  13. Highly unlikely it's a husker fan imo. Most people that want to make a coaching change are still huge Husker fans. They know something like this wouldn't help Nebraska, or persuade Nebraska to make a change. Another fan posing as a Husker fan. It happens in the social media age.
  14. I wouldn't say it's obvious. Possible, but not obvious. I still think he's Nebraska HC after the weekend. As I said earlier in the thread unless Eichorst is an utter idiot I don't see how Bo stays. If the plan was for Bo to stay then he there should've been private and public solid confirmation of that. All this distracting, stressful "Bo is gone" drama could've been squashed, it wasn't. Now is Eichorst just that f'ing stupid not to see that he should support his guy or was he looking at a coaching change and didn't want to come out privately or publicly with lies? Plus even if they were leaning towards Bo staying before I'd say things hit a boiling point today and the situation between the staff, fans, admin, and officials has become too toxic. Yeah, the silence was telling. They could have backed him at some point, but they were, at minimum, considering firing him so they didn't want to have to go back on their statement two weeks later. I think there's a good chance he was going to be let go anyway regardless of what happened vs Iowa. Bo took any question out of it with today's events. Don't know if he has plans to be a HC again, but today was an awful audition.
  15. We'll get a definitive statement this weekend, probably tomorrow. He's obviously going to be fired.
  16. Keep getting the ball to Burtch on screens. He's electric
  17. Nebraska and Bo will likely part ways after the Iowa game regardless of the outcomes of the next 2. Waning ticket demand and people trying to get out of their suite contracts have become a real problem for the program. The program lacks excitement and belief that we're moving towards something big under Bo.
  18. Another good loss. Put it with the rest of them. Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH22m This is the ninth double-digit loss for Nebraska since its move to the #B1G. #Huskers
  19. Good loss. Moral victory for the Huskers. Bo Big Red Dirk Chatelain @dirkchatelainFollow Locker-room emotion after #Husker loss noticeably free of anger. Lotta pride in how they rallied.
  20. and that is why your not an AD. you don't have a clue. Bo's teams turn the ball over and don't force enough TOs themselves. This is why he's -28 in TOs during his 6 seasons and has lost the TO battle 5 of his 6 seasons. It's a pattern, not bad luck.
  21. Certainly a chance. That job will be open in the spring. That's not a shot at Tommy, just reality of our situation. Wish them both the best.
