  1. Is it just me, or is everyone talking about Pelini the past tense?

Could be. Things might be easier to tell if we were like Michigan and had decommits during the game.

If everyone includes Eichorst, Osborne and Hawks it matters. If not, it don't.

Michigan. They have recruiting and more history than we do.

  4. everyone is supposedly so apathetic around here that they won't be affected by a win or loss today, right?

  5. ‏@scottshanle: In summary. I don't believe it has anything to do with scheme. Its players doing their job and if u can't do it physically do it mentally.

Our DL got whooped against Wisconsin. That has not really been true all season. What has been true all season is the issues we have at LB. So like the game against Wisconsin, if our DL gets dominated, no way our LBs are going to make up for that deficiency. Since our LB play has gone downhill the past 2-3 seasons, I'd think we might make a coaching change. I read one article suggesting Pelini try to bring Ekeler back. Either way, our LB and our OL are the two position groups hurting...

  6. Brian Bennett: The closer you are to the fire, the hotter the flames. No doubt, in Lincoln and throughout the state of Nebraska, the reaction is louder and more over the top whenever the Huskers suffer a loss, especially one as ugly as last week's at Wisconsin. This is true anywhere, but even more so for such a passionate fan base. It's no wonder many Nebraska fans feel like the sky is falling after repeated blowout losses in the Bo Pelini. But is the program's reputation really...

  7. God, I can't wait for this season to be over.

  8. I finally watched the game last night, and here's my take: All the criticisms about the defensive scheme are warranted, and that one is easy to nitpick. But what's more troubling to me is the lack of anything productive from our offense. There are so many moving parts with this offense, and that's where there is a lot of inconsistency. Simpler is better. After this season, Beck can take a hike because he's proved that he has no clue and no ability to develop our QBs. Tommy is...

  10. Things are turning really caustic here. Just cannot fathom why we would keep Bo after this season. Our fan base has officially turned. It's in the best interest for everyone now for Eichorst to make a coaching change. Need to clear the grime and create a positive atmosphere. Eichorst, Board of Regents - make your move.

  11. When teams are putting up record rushing records in your tenure wouldnt you begin to think something needs to be changed? No matter whether if its scheme or lack of execution, either the scheme isnt working or the players cant execute your scheme. College athletes arent going to be the best executers or tacklers and its unfair to ask college athletes to try and tackle grest runners 1 on 1, especially on the outside.

You can talk schedule 'til you're blue in the face. It comes down to wins and losses...and Pelini is among the most winning coaches in college football. That's why Muschamp was done by Sunday and Pelini will be coaching against Minnesota, and beyond.

  15. There's plenty of issues, I won't dismiss any of them really so I'm not diminishing one or the othere with this thought, but does anyone think the defense just has enough of the offenses ineptitude sometimes? Did the game change after an offensive failure? 3-14 on third downs is horrible.

Beck has made it known he has other aspirations, so Beck being gone isn't that unrealistic.

I agree about Beck. If you get a chance and want to, listen to Pelini regarding the offense in the post game and today's presser. He's gotta be careful in front of the cameras, but he ain't happy...at all...with the offense.

Yep, because we are in the second year of increased emphasis on it. The battle, for anyone who wants Pelini gone is the Eichort, boosters, Osborne thingy.

  18. According to STATS, Nebraska, as ranked team, has 7 losses of 17-plus points since 2011. That's most in the nation. Clemson & Texas have 6.

I agree. Pelini's recruiting deficiencies have been brought to the forefront. Eichorst and major donors stepped up the resources, but we are where we are. If there is one huge advantage Pelini has right now, it's support from Eichorst, key boosters, and Tom.

Yes. In many preseason publications, the offensive line and linebackers were two of the biggest question marks. I think Pelini thought we'd be better, but we're not. We've got to get to where we have a couple of All Conference linemen. Yesterday would be good. At this point, Pelini needs to make sure guys like Foster and Farmer are the real deal. And I have no idea if Garrison is the guy to get them there or not.

Pelini holds responsibility for it. In the post game and today's presser, it was clear Pelini knows Armstrong and the offensive line aren't going to get it done.

Florida was already at less. We have to improve, but we are in really difficult space for the decision makers.

If the counter point was overbearing, Pelini would have been gone at 6am Sunday. Muschamp was in that boat, Pelini is not.
