  1. Trump Tower in Kabul to be announced next week???
  2. Man, if there was ever a time we would have the personnel to move back to a I formation option offense, its now. Martinez at qb, Yant at FB, Ervin, Morrison, Steppe at IBack. Two good sized blocking TEs and an OLine that has gotten huge.
  3. Why would Frost lean into this line of thought. He made hay and won championships as a running QB. Whats more I don't recall him missing time for injuries during his career either.
  4. I agree with someone else above. Ignore function activated.
  5. Yes because high, low, slow, right and left snaps that throw off a whole play have nothing to do with timing a read... You're cool dude.
  6. And when the read guy is close enough to tackle either ball carrier before the exchange the read is moot. Its like trying to stop a car accident when you already made contact with the bumper.
  7. I'm sure this has nothing to do with his read guy being on him nearly as fast as the snap due to poor Oline play....
  8. Damn, that would be a hard one to take out too. Still the sweetest jump cut I've ever seen. The embarrassment of Cody Hawkins is freaking awesome too.
  9. Was looking for Burkhead's jukeboxes against Ohio State during the largest comeback game, was surprised to not see it in the list.
  10. Sike! Can't have overalls on jerseys if there are no Jerseys. Football team= Canceled.
  11. Just my guess, Nebraska has filed suit demanding the BIG refs penalize and enforce offensive holding calls equally and not just against Nebraska players. On a similar note it probably also references illegal blocks and defensive hands to the face as well. Just a hunch though. As Lavar Burton used to say, "You don't have to take my word for it."
  12. I've always been a problem solver. Roomier seats ✔. More accessible and convenient bathroom access ✔. These need to be the new seats in memorial... BOOM!
  13. 3-5 games annually were on PPV up until Nebraska joined the BIG in 2012. Sorry man, this must have been a long 9 years for you for that to feel like 20 years ago. Hope life is good now.
  14. Whats more, the PPV watch site experience early in the season set game day schedules for later in the season. Think about it, you go to a watch site for PPV in September have a great time hanging with fellow Husker fans, you're more likely to go back to said establishment for the next game even if its not PPV the following week. Now you throw first game of the year on at home 5 minutes before it starts crack a beer and watch it on your couch, you've reset your GameDay routine and expectations basically for the whole season. Now your less likely to go out for any game.
  15. 10 years ago I was working at the most popular watch site in Des Moines. What killed the watch site experience was the end of PPV. Those games were standing room only. Televised games were always hit and miss and always a smaller audience.
  16. I always theorized that in biblical times lives were so short they measured them by cycles of the mon rather than revolutions around the sun. Take each of those lifespans and divide by twelve. Voila, reasonable life spans.
  17. I don't think there is less interest at all, what I do think is that season tickets have been priced out of entry level markets. When season tickets started, Nebraska was able to inflate season ticket prices as blue hairs saw their income levels increase with age. However now we need people at the early levels of their careers to backfill the loss of blue hairs. Eventually supply and demand will necessitate a drop in prices to maintain current attendance levels.
  18. My point is unless anyone is given the chance to be THE guy for 20 carries a game, no one's going to click and we are having this same conversation next year, for the 4th year in a row.
  19. I'm not one that poo poos Washington's departure he was a damn fine talent, but Held never let him take the rock and run with it either. He maybe got what? 7 carries a game? A guy like Morrison (given his pedigree) should be able to be the number 1 back, get 20 carries a game and sprinkle in a no 2 for another 10 per game. Having 5 guys line up at runningback during a game is the equivalent of participation ribbons and costs in production during games and development of the true no 1 and backup. Guys can't get into a "groove" on 7 carries one week 2 the next 15 the week after and 4 after that. It messes with them mentally. When was the last time you saw Wisconsin line up without and obvious no 1 and 2 back?
  20. Honestly, all these super conferences will do is turn historically great programs ie. Texas and Oklahoma into also rans, like we are currently in the BIG. There will always be haves and have nots in every conference. The big fish in the small pond will likely be the small fish when they enter someone else's pond.
