  1. Guess we'll wait 20 some more games for an opponent to get called for holding again.
  2. Ref was smiling announcing the holding bs call
  3. HMMMM... Someone is obviously missing in his quote accompanying his video. Says a lot IMO.
  4. Oh yeah... another good sound bite from the honorable Senator Sasse. But if the issue somehow came before the senate he would silently vote in favor of the lawsuit despite his sound bite as usual. Good 'ole Spineless Sasse.
  5. Haha, how ironic, in standings, we currently sit above a team that beat us and below a team we beat.
  6. Wisconsin. I really think we beat them this year.
  7. Uh oh, playing not to lose now.... game gonna get close
  8. Sad it had to be that blatant for that hold to be called...
  9. WTF!!!! A sack with only 3 rushing????? Omg!!! Who stole our unis
  10. 1st kickoff, block in the back, blindside hit on defenseless player.
  11. I also want to see stats about how many holding calls are called on our opponents when they face other league teams. - For instance if a team is called on average for 2-3 holds per game when not playing Nebraska, the goose egg when they play us looks even more damning to the BIG/officials.
  12. My biggest worry is that we become the next Michigan, the next Oklahoma- schools that went to the transfer market for a qb once and now seem to be perpetually locked in a cycle of bringing in 1 year/ 2 year guys and absolutely destroying their depth at the position.
  13. @Archy1221 - Siding with the scientists is the best way to go. They understand the data. The problem is there is no contact tracing and a "head in the sand attitude" about in school transmission so the data is likely flawed. Therefor the quote - "the data clearly shows us that you can operate these schools in face-to-face learning in a safe and responsible way." - Could very well be attributed to the fact that "the data", in all likelihood, is flawed.
  14. Loved Crouch's play, maybe its just the view, but I think T-Mart's is more impressive. He had no help getting to the end zone until the end and did it with a clear limp. Frazier's is still the gold standard.
  15. I recall earlier this summer when it was reported that teachers would not be able to file workman's comp claims for contracting covid, the rationale used was "it cannot be proven that the faculty member contracted the virus during the performance of work activities." In my mind, that is the same rationale they are using to say that schools are not spreading the virus. Essentially the thought process is, "You cannot prove that the students are contracting it at school rather than elsewhere, so we are simply going to deny any transmission in schools and use that to justify keeping schools open in spite of sky rocketing numbers within communities." I think this approach is terrible, but I think that it is exactly what is occurring.
  16. @HuskerInLostWagesYou know, the numbers for the year look bad enough, but I would love to see how many holding calls we've had in the last 5 years vs the Big 10 average. Shoot I think we've had 3 in the last 2 years maybe?
  17. Helps when they're mostly from Nebraska. Outside hitter Ally Batenhorst (Houston, Texas), middle blocker Rylee Gray (Elkhorn, Neb.), outside hitter Lindsay Krause (Papillion, Neb.), outside hitter Whitney Lauenstein (Waverly, Neb.), setter Kennedi Orr (Eagan, Minn.) and defensive specialist/libero Lexi Rodriguez (Sterling, Ill.) make up this year's signing class.
  18. And I know this thread is about holding calls, but we are seeing the same with False starts - obviously there was the one that went uncalled on Iowa's go ahead field coal -those mother.... but I think it was Northwestern when their line was jumping presnap for like a whole drive that was never called.
  19. @DevoHusker- that's exactly my point, so no offense taken. Archy1221 feigned ignorance about the many many avenues R's have taken in an attempt to destroy the ACA. I want to see if he will admit their intent was to sabotage the law from the get go.
  20. I remember watching Alex Davis get significantly held seemingly once per drive as he tried to rush off the edge. Darrion Daniels last year too.
