  1. They aren’t wins so why we taking like lunatics?
  2. Again, only 30% of the people requested paper tickets which means there are 70% less paper tickets around the stadium being hawked. We struggled last week to find one around the stadium for an add-on kid.
  3. Not very many available on the street. Stubhub best bet imo. I am sure we are going to evolve to something that offers free exchanging online for price of ticket somehow but, until then, don't count on seeing many if any waving in air gameday.
  4. Not really. If the fans don’t care there is no money. If there is no money there is no hope for a successful program.
  5. Well you should care about it if you ever want Husker football to be good again. It is the very definition of "program support." It is the one thing left keeping us from being Fordham.
  6. Again, they had a holding call negating a 15 yard run by Ibrahim leading to 2nd and 32 instead of 3rd and 4, leading to a punt. They had an additional fumble. They gave 2 one strike touchdowns on blown coverages. They actually had the same pick play that would have negated a huge conversion but it didn't get called. If you watch the second half, you will see them shooting themselves in the foot as they try for the comeback. I will just concede the point that we made more mistakes if that works.. Main point is, they made mistake after mistake in the 2nd half trying to pull off the upset. I watched a team that played solid in the first half meltdown in the second. Looked like watching us try to come back. But yes, OSU is better than Illinois. Minnesota is better than NU. Just saying Minnie made mistakes so lets not anoint PJ as some coaching guru. And I fear Nebraska is actually further behind than just some mistakes.
  7. My bad on misremembering the interception. It was a backbreaking INT for Minn that he threw, almost a pick 6, OSU ran back inside the 20.. But ya, that must of been the one negated by the roughing call. I'm not really arguing that Minnesota did not look like a better team than NU yesterday, they absolutely did. I am just saying they literally made some of the same stupid mistakes we did that caused them to lose. We are saying those mistakes are because SF is a poor coach. If that is the case, we can't say the PJ's team, making similar mistakes, is a wonderful coach. The goalposts change when we do that. The take home from this may actually be worse than which team made mistakes. In reality, both made similar amounts of mistakes causing their respective teams to lose, but our team looks pretty sorry even outside of those mistakes. The team we marched out against Illinois is not a good team, mistakes or not. :/
  8. I do think some of this feeling of Minnesota playing so well comes from a place of outsider-not-connected-grass-is-greener. I know OSU is a great team, and it showed yesterday that Minnesota was clearly outclassed. Ill be honest, Tanner Morgan played one of the best games he's ever played and Ibrahim is incredible. That said, they made the same "boneheaded" mistakes we make to lose games. If we are being objective, OSU had a strip sack scoop and score, Morgan through two interceptions that were game breakers, although one was given back on a roughing call against OSU.OSU scored at least 2 and maybe three times on one play broken coverage 40+ yard strikes. I think it was more a result of Minnesota o line creating for Ibrahim first half, (credit to Fleck for knowing what his team is capable of and going with it,) combined with OSU playing very poorly in the first half of the season. Minnesota even had a poorly timed offensive holding call on a 20 yard Ibrahim run that negated a 3rd and 5 and instead set up a 2 and 32. It was fun to cheer for Minnesota yesterday, and I did find myself longing for Frost to understand what his players strengths are and call to those like PJ did.. That said, everybody lauding the effort from Minnesota should be also able to see that they ultimately lost that game doing the same dumb things we did to lose Illinois, (and yes I know OSU is better than Illinois.)
  9. This is my thought. As horrible as it sounds, I am relieved that, at least at this time, he is making the decision easy. None of this 7-5, 6-6 type season. If he tanks this season like seems likely at this time, at least we don't have the, "what, 3 wins are not good enough for NU?" crap hanging over our heads.
  10. Without saying too much, there are rumors that there may be a coach in America somewhere who let money and fame and celebrity go to his already exceedingly arrogant and big headed ego and started sleeping around with multiple hot chicks in the area, the kind of hot chicks that would like to get with a well built, good looking, rich and famous man eventually leading to a pregnancy which naturally may or may not have resulted in significant marital issues leading to some degree of substance abuse or lack of substance abuse which in turn led to slacking which may or may not lead to his team performing at a subpar level consistently.
  11. I liked it better when we were sliding into DM's
  12. I wish I wouldn't have watched the cave video.
  13. I was all in on Frost, even up until Friday. I was a, "give him his time," person. I had to do a 180 after watching that debacle yesterday. That was the poorest display of coaching I have ever seen and that includes my 7 year olds flag YMCA team. The only thing that explains it in a coach with his backround is off the field distractions. There must be such glaring ball dropping going on there, and, if that is the case, there is no hope forward, for sure not this season. He will reap what he has sowed this offseason and there is no turning that back now. And he will deserve it, that SoaB
  14. Does it take 5 to learn not to call a QB sneak on first and 10?
  15. Agreed. That was a good series for the D until it fell apart. I would just argue we saw a couple of good drives by the offense as well but that doesn't mean they had a good game. Same should apply for our D. No, they weren't horrible and yes, they did a few good things, but certainly they didn't put together an above average entire game. CTB gave up an easy first down conversion soon after that should have been pick, at a time when a stop would have put a band aid on all of that. I love me some CTB, but yesterday he let the team down as much as anybody.
  16. Guess I didn't see stops when we needed stops.. I didn't see a stout run D. I didn't see a consistent pass rush. I saw a decent defense for sure, but I certainly didn't see anything we can hang our hats on and be proud of on that side of the ball either. And I saw all of that against the backup QB.
  17. Honestly, not seeing anything from yesterday that shows me those 3 are any less deserving of a pink slip as D1 level talent.
  18. I think you mean, get a roomorville back.
  19. He must play 6 man ball or something because I've read that he's not very good and we need to recruit much better.
