  1. One can hope. After forty years of rooting for the Huskers, I'm now boycotting the team until Riley and the anti-American players are no longer part of the football program. Let's go Illinois!
  2. When I had to walk through a protester gauntlet to attend a Trump rally, I was verbally and physically assaulted by the protesters. Rose-Ivey is lucky he just got a couple of mean tweets. Suck it up, buttercup.
  3. Did players kneel for the national anthem again today?
  4. I just want the new head coach to keep things interesting, which means beating the teams you're supposed to beat and giving the teams you're not supposed to beat a run for their money. It sure would be nice to make it into November undefeated for a change.
  5. A fresh pair of panties might lift your spirits.
  6. This thread is a great example of why I think NCAA athletes on scholarship shouldn't be allowed to have social media accounts.
  7. One of my nephews was recruited by McElwain, but he wanted to stay closer to home so he accepted a scholarship from another Div1 school. Now that my nephew broke up with is girlfriend, he wishes that he'd gone to Colorado State because he really liked McElwain. Based on my family's experience with McElwain, I'd say that he's also a classy guy and a good recruiter.
  8. I felt like a little kid on Christmas Day when I heard this news. My family is ecstatic. Thank you Baby Jesus!
  9. Before Osborne won all of those championships, I remember how the big money donors were growing unhappy with him. They felt the game had passed him by and that Nebraska couldn't get its hands on the players it needed to win the big games. Osborne never changed his philosophy. The only thing that changed was the quality of players on the sidelines. In my opinion, the 1995 team in particular was one of the most stacked teams in college football history. What we need is a coach like Osborne who thinks about the big picture and gets the players he needs to implement his vision.
  10. Griese is a loser so it's not surprising that he'd defend a loser like Pelini. According to him, Husker fans need to just embrace the suck or find something else to do on Saturdays.
  11. How do you know your team sucks? When you root against them late in the season in hopes of a coaching change.
  12. I think it has to do with opposing teams getting enough film on a new QB to put together a good game plan against him. If you're a one dimensional QB, if you can't go through your progressions, if you have no touch on short to medium range passes, teams will eventually identify your weaknesses.
  13. After almost fifteen years of not winning a single game that actually means something, I think most of us fans have lowered our expectations. Pelini doesn't need to win a conference championship or a national championship. He just needs to keep the season interesting, but with Pelini's regime, the season is over not too long after it begins. At least we made it into October undefeated this year. <rolls eyes>
  14. We had 2 losses at the same point in the season in 2010, 2011 and 2012 NU should never be picked to finish 4th in the conference. That is an indication of the need for a coaching change. I can't believe so many people have accepted Nebraska being a mediocre team in a mediocre conference. It doesn't have to be this way, folks!
  15. I don't have any inside info, but my aunt who lives in Lincoln emailed me today to see if I want her Minnesota tickets. She's been a season ticket holder for more than forty years. After last night's shellacking, she has decided not to go to another game until Pelini is fired. If enough fans like her quit supporting the embarrassment that Nebraska football has become, things will change sooner rather than later. And no, I didn't want her Minnesota tickets.
