  1. I think that's the only way you will be able to pull him away from aTm. Have to give him the promotion. His career progression is on track, that's his next step. Lateral move makes no sense for him.
  2. Now that Mickey freed up some money for us, I'd like to see us make another run at Elijah Robinson as DC/DL with a bigger offer. It'll really help Knighton to work with someone with a little more experience and he's an amazing recruiter and would be a great addition to the staff.
  3. I've also seen that the offensive coaches have coached multiple positions. I think that perspective of coaching different positions will help them teach the position group they are working with much better. It's a very well rounded and young group. Once he names his last 4, i think we will have a very dynamic staff that will be able to do some great things.
  4. Based solely on the speculation on the 3 he's picking between, I think the best option for him is USF. It's natural step up, in an area that knows and loves him from his childhood through college. two hours north of where he grew up, and about 2 hours south of where he played college ball. Plenty of talent and with his name he will be able to get some of the best recruits in FL to give him a listen. And as he proves himself there, I think he'll be next in line for Florida St the next time it opens up.
  5. Either way, he committed a felony. Not sure he could stay even if Trev and Rhule would allow it.
  6. Once a new WR coach is named, I think there's a chance he could come home, assuming we have interest this time.
  7. So similar to what I was told, except it was a co-worker with MJ who was also let go by Rhule....something along the lines of a farewell fornication before they both went their separate ways.
  8. The way I've been told (different person) was that MJ came in and caught them fornicating. He got enraged, aggressively pulled her away from him (domestic violence) and then went after him and started choking him. She called the police and he left the home.
  9. I heard similar, not trainer, and the other participant was male. He aggressively pulled her off of him (DV) and started after him and choking him (strangulation)
  10. I've heard a third person, but instead of Steve Taylor, it was a different coach on the former staff.
  11. Per DB this morning, two other adults were at the Joseph home, which adds to the credibility of what I've heard that it wasn't his wife being strangled. Passion rage is wild, will make people do things they don't normally do.
  12. Based on what I've heard from multiple people, sounds like a woman wasn't being strangled, not that it makes it any better. And the answer, doesn't matter what the other person is doing, strangling anyone is not OK, shouldn't have to preface with woman. Not OK to strangle anyone, under 99.99% of circumstances.
  13. I heard it was someone maybe a little closer to Mickey than her personal trainer
  14. Looks like he redshirted last year, maybe not by choice
  15. Emmett Johnson, RB. I believe he was Mr Football in MN. And has been buried on the depth chart here. Sounds like he thinks he shouldn't have been so low.
  16. Fantastic movie and sets up multiple different story lines going forward all while telling a great, complete story.
  17. No, it'll only be the 10 assistant coaches. Analysts, GAs and S&C will be a different budget for salaries
  18. Yeah, that's what got him benched finally at Oklahoma. Has all the tools you need, but some days it's like he's never seen a football game before. It's wild how sporadic he is.
  19. His other brother Mick is a pro wrestler goes by Mankind. Bang Bang
  20. Typically S&C is excluded from the assistant pool. Still it’s 5.5M for 9 other assistants, including OC and DC. Too big for one coach that’s not a coordinator.
  21. "Coach, yeah Mike Huff...I mean Mike from Bellevue. Glad to see your face, hopefully won't be last time. Now, will we be seeing you recruit all of our fine outstanding athletes or will we have to continue sending them out of state since no coach takes the time to come visit us?"
  22. I mean there's room for him to be a full time coach, but I am curious as to what role he will have, I'd lean to the GA role. Also, when will the NCAA vote on allowing unlimited coaches and scholarships? Also, having Knighton, he's probably be really low on the pay scale to afford to give others (like MJ) more. 1--OC/QB 2--RB 3--WR 4--OL 5--TE 6--DL (Knighton) 7--LB 8--DB (Evan Cooper) 9--DC/ 10-ST So the DC can have his own position or help with DL to help Knighton who is clearly green in experience. Or we can hire Elijah Robinson (or some other DL coach) to be a mentor and have an assistant and the DC can coach a different position group.
  23. Potential for 2, especially since he is so green. Could also see some help from the DC.
