I don't think he is the silent commit, but I recall back in July he almost committed to us because he has a good relationship with Mo. Barry. I think we need a DE of his caliber and I think we have a good chance of landing him because he shut down his recruiting during the season( why we didn't hear from him for a while) and I think he likes Nebraska a lot.

We need to spoil the Iowans or Iowegians or whatever they are called and get a huge win over a top 5 team. Both teams have a lot to play for in this game I think we can pull out this win if we contain Bethard and run the ball like we have the last few weeks. With an off week and time to prepare we should be able to come out on top. Also we might want to evaluate where Iowa is at after this game.

This team looks promising and they will do great things if they continue to move the ball around. I loke the fact that we are getting more assists because it seems Tim's teams at Nebraska haven't gotten a ton assists in past years here. Villanova is next and it should be a fun game that I think that we will compete in if we have excellent ball movement and we rebound well.

Yes I totally agree! Tanner Borchardt looked good inside Trueblood did some nice things too. I wonder what the rotation will be once we start the season.

I am looking at Georgias staff and they are legit coaches, Jeremy Pruitt is one of the best DCs in the country and won a championship with Florida State. The OC is an NFL guy with a solid resume as well. They also have Mike Ekeler as inside LB's coach who coached at Nebraska and have three different guys coaching linebackers and Pruitt coaches the secondary. A few questionable guys but a lot of great hires, the RB coach coached Melvin Gordon in the 2014 season so I wouldn't mind him, his OL coach is a solid guy coached at McNeese State and also was a part of Alabamas 2009 championship team but I think this guy can recruit pretty well. Lots of guys with NFL experience so it would be interesting to see who Richt would bring with him. The one guy who would need to come with Richt is Pruitt one of the best DC's in the country. Outside of Pruitt I would want a better Oc probably and I would not mind Richt as a head coach if Herman and other big namers go to other schools

I think if we go 3-9 or get destroyed by MSU it wouldn't surprise me if we pressuredMike Riley to resign by the end of the season. Replacements would be interesting and it would have to be a kyle whittingham, Justin Fuente, Scott Frost, Tom Herman type hire. wouldn't mind any of those guys. Maybe an Nfl guy but Chip Kelly(Pipe dream?) or maybe John Harbaugh would take the job if offered.(John has no college recruiting grounds that I am aware of but would be funny if Harbaugh brothers were both in the same conference- more fit for Maryland if he is fired by Ravens anyway)

Saw this online it is an unconfirmed source, but Patrick O'Brien is intrigued by the coaches at Michigan and he is going to visit sometime and still remains committed to NU. Harbaugh needs to get his own guys as this would be a huge loss if Patrick changes his mind.

Hopefully we can retain this guy we need some playmaking corners coming in and helping out this defense

Coaches teach fundamentals. Maybe you've heard of this. I've not heard of this before. What are these fundamentals you speak of? Do juniors and seniors learn their fundamentals and techniques from coaches in their first two -three years in the program, or does a coaching staff teach juniors and seniors all new fundamentals and techniques in a few months of "actual coaching"? I realize the staff has been hired 10 months ago, but how much actual time have these guys had to rebuild these players fundamentals? Second question. Are we sure these players are good enough to be fundamentally sound, techni8cally sufficient football players? I swear you've found a way to plus one all your own posts. Let's see Bo took a 5-7 to 9-3 in 10 months. Uban Meyer took a 6-6 team to undefeated in 10 months. How long did it take Stoops? Harbaugh? Florida? This blame Bo crap is give him time, get his own players and lash out at anyone who disagrees with you is old hat. Get of your horse man. This is Purdue for god sakes. Dear lord, Bo was left NFL talent such as Suh and Amukamera along with a good OL and RB's. This team may have one NFL player and that would be Westy as a slot WR. Nobody else comes even close to sniffing the NFL. This team is looking less talented than the 2004 team that Frank left us and that isn't an easy accomplishment. Is this an excuse? We have talent on this team it is just not being utilized.

Fixed it for ya. I think we can make tons of halftime adjustments, but will we execute those adjustments is the question.

I don't think that you can say one player won the game when this is a team sport. The team wins and the team loses together as one team at the end of the day.
