    Just got done installing a whole house water filtration system. Kind of a pain in the arse, lots of copper piping. But it's done and seems to be working good.

      No kidding huKSer, I got my eyes opened when I went to Lowe's to buy the pipe and fittings. It's been quite a few years since I've done anything in copper.....holy hell it was pricey. I needed 20' of 3/4" and 2' of 1" not to mention all the valves and fittings. The pipe alone was about $70, with everything else about $183. The filter itself was only about $270. I used to do plumbing work (many years ago) so it wasn't a huge stretch for me but it...
