  1. I still think the no word on the NCAA investigation is going to hold some bearing in his termination. I think it’s gonna be a nasty divorce but hopefully Scott can step away with dignity.
  2. Hi, I would like to change my user name from FTW to Dansker since my first name’s Dan
  3. Totally agree if this was Mike Riley he would be gone by now. The wrong message is being sent by keeping SF because “he’s one of us.” An outsider will be apprehensive about coming here. Keeping Scott will do more damage to the program. That’s my hot take as a fan. I think what you see is what you get. We’ve got a coach who is so in over his head and stubborn and using the same coach speak we heard from Bill Callahan in 2007.
  4. I believe this is the most likely scenario. Either as a WR coach or QB coach, he’ll land somewhere. He has contacts. It’s unfortunate he didn’t use them while employed at NU to hire better assistants.
  5. Oh you know he’ll be hurting for a week but once those checks start rolling in it’ll be like, “Honey, you want that new $90,000 car now?”
  6. Hell NO I just despise the woulda coulda shoulda what if BS ppl like to do to defend an abysmal coach. *Edit* I guess I am, haha.
  7. Bo would still be here if he had better media handlers, took anger management classes. He even admitted as such during Will Comptons podcast. Seems like he regrets losing his cool like he did and feels bad about it. But he had zero admin support… and those leaked tapes were a hit job. IMO, we should’ve never fired him. He’s a guy who deserved all the resources and help imaginable to keep him happy in Lincoln… NOT Scott Frost.
  8. The great “what if” game. Will you ever learn? You can never beat it. You’ve got to deal with TODAY not worry about tomorrow like Pelini used to say. Every excuse to protect SF or prevent a much needed termination is a joke. There is not one positive thing Frost has done that can keep him from staying here other than what? The name? Heck, Bo had the highest GPA and academic all Americans in the history of our program. That’s something that should keep a losing HC’s job. But this isn’t about Bo. But I am one of many who feel he should not have been fired. Scott made an interesting comment when he was hired something along the lines of “We were a little spoiled with 9 wins a year here and it wasn’t enough.” I just hope we can do the same while I’m here. I’m too tired to dig for the exact quote.
  9. Have you played any athletic sports? Honest question. I have played from youth: travel Ice Hockey, Amateur Hockey, High School football and college. One thing I loved about my coaches? They motivated the living f#&% out of us and fired us up for games. And we wanted to rip our opponents’ heads off. The games we lost sometimes we were a direct reflection of our coach. If something seemed off with him personally, he/they lacked the enthusiasm to go on. It weighs on a player’s psyche. Because a coach is like a father figure to you. You spend more time with coaches and assistants than your own family in college. Yes, it is a teams job to pull together but when you’re a young athlete in this day and age, that is something kids take for granted. They want to be led by a leader who is in charge. One of the things I loved about Bo Pelini was how he talked about “the process” accountability, wanting IT every single day. Can you wake up everyday and get after it? Do you see this under Scott Frost? Do you see any urgency to improve, to motivate his own players he recruited? Because I don’t. Thus, as the leader of our football program, his lack of motivational skills sticks out like a sore thumb now. His record is testimony to his failed coaching career at NU.
  10. We lost the games most fans penciled in as a loss and the ones penciled in as a win. Pathetic. The stuff we’ve witnessed over 4 years is high school level some even mistakes you make in pee wee football. I just don’t know how you can continue on with everything derailing into a train wreck like this.
  11. Its the ultimate team sport. If you’ve ever suited up, having your leader motivate you before a game or while you prep for a game has great benefits.
  12. Not trying to be snarky but have you ever played football? Even NFL coaches continue to motivate their players. It is quintessential to building a winning culture. Otherwise you will see what an unmotivated team is. Continued mistakes, lack of discipline, turning on their own fan base that support them across the entire country. Coaching 101 says never blame your own players. Bo Pelini never did this. Mike Riley never did this. Bill Callahan never did this and and they all have better career records as head coach at Nebraska. Ironic huh?
  13. The stadium could be emptying out by halftime. Yeah, I hear you. Apathy sucks.
  14. Campbell would be the guy to consistently get us 8-9 wins and maybe some surprise CCG appearances. This is the type of coach NU needs. He is only 41. Players play hard for him. Had Allen Lazard, David Montgomery, now Breece Hall. He can recruit difference makers.
  15. Can we add Deion Sanders to the list? He’s got Jackson State at 7-1
  16. I disagree I think the job opening at Nebraska should be made available immediately and get the ball rolling. Actually, from what I’ve heard I wouldn’t be surprised if some kind of announcement is made soon.
  17. If he truly loved Nebraska football and had any integrity whatsoever he would admit it didn’t work out and resign. But he won’t because he’s set for life if he’s fired.
  18. This years recruiting class can only be saved by starting a clean slate asap and immediately hire a search committee to vet coaches who may be interested and even those who may be long shots. Money does talk but Frost and his guys didn’t deserve the kind of pay they received. This is buyers remorse. You either gamble with a big name unproven guy (Deion Sanders), or you go after Jon Gruden, Lane Kiffin, some other big names. They may not want to come here but do any of us truly know that as fact??? No. But the bleeding HAS to stop.
  19. The fact that more fans aren’t pissed off at his comments tells me apathy has truly set in. Indifference is a lot worse than anger. One can only hope Trev Alberts can feel the pain of the fan base. He might just be proud of Frost for running a clean program. But this is a results driven business. His seat has been hot since Game 1. That is a fact and I don’t just mean as a national perception either.
  20. To me that’s a sign of a coach giving up on them. You can’t do that to your players. You can’t meet them halfway. I’m tired of the guy throwing players under the bus though. Everything falls on Scott’s shoulders. His laziness has become extremely obvious this year, too.
  21. Honestly, that wouldn’t surprise me. During the game, he looked like he mailed it in. Removing the headset. He also didn’t appear moved at all during the post game presser at the fact that fans were leaving in droves midway through the 4th quarter.
  22. Agree with everything you said. I also think it’s pretty horrible to throw your entire team and football program under the bus when you’re the LEADER. I don’t see how this doesn’t fly under Trev Alberts’ radar. That’s a huge red flag and so is the fact that he stated that his team doesn’t need to be motivated. We have seen through 4 seasons what an unmotivated team looks like and it’s horrible. This is the difference between Frost and Bo Pelini. Sure Bo got blown out badly in some games but he could motivate those kids (we all know it firsthand) and it showed on the field. That is something you teach to young football players who want to become better and work their way to the NFL. If you can’t or don’t want to motivate young collegiate athletes, you’re in the wrong profession. Those statements from Frost are a major, major red flag to me as a fan. I cannot consent another year under his watch but this started in week zero for me now I’m ready to move on from him with zero regrets.
  23. You’re dreaming, my friend. Maybe Iowa but OSU is going to embarrass us once again.
  24. I don’t know about you but those are some pretty glaring quotes that expose the man leading this football program and how his internal clock works. So sorry that you continue to support him.
