The question I have been pondering is how much a healthy Chris Jones would've helped? I would think a physical, sure tackler like him would've blown up some bubble screens in a hurry and forced more 4th downs. Possibly a more pedestrian offensive showing for ASU? Not trying to say it would've been a cure-all but would've Diaco been more comfortable letting someone like him press cover and make an offense like that more difficult to execute? Hopefully we get a sampling at some point this year with Jones.

On Saturday it looked like both Gifford and Newby were on the field together quite a bit. So is Gifford really the starting OLB where Davis and King play? Maybe that was just the look they were showing to ASU but I rarely saw Davis and never saw King on the field.

I was wondering how big of a difference it would've been with Jones in the game. He is great at sniffing out those little short route and making a sure tackle. ASU would've likely still moved the ball well but we may have gotten more critical 3rd down stops with Jones in the game.

Missed tackles hurt us some against ASU. Missed tackles will kill us against Oregon. Side note I don't remember seeing Lamar Jackson whiffing on tackles like he was against Tennessee. Eric Lee has some things to clear up before Oregon though.

Did anyone notice if Avery Roberts got out on the field? The only two LB on the 2-deep I didn't see last night was Sedrick King and Roberts.

You need a really accurate and decisive QB to replicate what ASU did last night. There are very few teams in the B1G that run that style of offense, let alone have a QB that could slice us like that. Like others have said I will be watching to see what ASU will do against Miami next week before I hit the panic button.

Yeah who cares if he speaks at a presser. Nothing he would've said would've changed the outcome on the field. We forced two turnovers and only let up one or two big plays. The safety and PR TD really hurt us. We have an offense that can keep us in games. I personally think the OLine did well except for the brain fart on the safety. People think PJ Fleck is a great coach and MN almost laid an egg against Buffalo. Give it some time.
