  1. Yeah, I think 247’s 87 grade is more of a realistic grade for Hall than the 84 composite score. High 3-star seems fair unless he continues to rack up big offers. Need Rivals to update because 5.4rr is a G5 player and Hall will be playing at a P5 with that offer list.
  2. Can’t help but laugh at that tweet seeing a screenshot of 5.5rr. Might be time to update the old database, Rivals.
  3. Dantonio with a QB, virtually everyone returning, blue-collar team, etc. They’ll be nasty but I’m glad it’s a home game.
  4. There’s been other tweets as well stating that the OLine didn’t have a very good day. I saw one tweet that they had their best day, which was encouraging because it came off a string of a couple bad days. Schaefer also mentioned that they were sluggish and sloppy when he got to view them.
  5. I would like to start getting some promising reports about the OLine. So far, it’s been a lot of the same as last spring. “Sloppy, unmotivated, had a bad day,” etc.
  6. I was thinking Tedford and Fresno State would be a good fit.
  7. They actually might have a first round corner in this year’s draft that we won’t have to deal with haha. But their head coach is a secondary guy and I expect that won’t be the weakness. Like the article states, it’s the front 7 that we will bully around. Montez gives me the same nervousness that Herbert did last year with Oregon. Where we will obviously face more prolific offenses and skill players, and the QB of those teams will scare me by extension. But if all things are equal, Montez is the type of QB who could end up spoiling our day. He makes plays with his legs and makes some incredible throws. Thankfully, he’s also the kind of QB who could give the game away and the Buffs OLine is softer than ours has been. Diaco’s defense would have been torched by him but our aggressive defense should stifle him. I watched their spring game and their WRs are better than their previous ones. They are bigger, stronger, and faster. Their RB will be deeply missed though and I think we win this game by 9+ in what will be one of the best atmospheres of the season. And I think it will end up looking like a pretty good win by season’s end.
  8. And it’s not a big deal. I just think it’s worth re-iterating that it takes some time and for people not to expect all-conference type play from JUCOs right away. I expect them to “swim” in the spring. Coaches like to throw everything at new guys one day, and then back off a bit the next because they want to see how the players respond to adversity. But it’s a big time change playing at this level.
  9. He’s being whiny about it, but I agree with Sam. Limiting access to the fans is understandable, it’s happening all around the country. But I don’t think it’s fair to limit access to trusted media.
  10. Not bad, I would definitely expect the defense to be a bit ahead of the offense in the spring. That’s something to watch for though, we heard similar issues of the offense not always bringing it last spring and it should have been a warning sign. Not worried or anything.
  11. Getting offers on defense as well. Sounds like he also plays the hybrid OLB/S on his HS team and could play that position at the next level as well.
  12. Made his top 10. I haven’t seen what position we are recruiting him for? Or is he just a “get him on the field” type athlete?
  13. Looks slightly taller than 6’3” to me. Love his film, definitely a WDE/OLB type. Could probably compete for PT right away.
  14. Haha I made another post about it but I watched their spring game since it was televised and we play them this year. It wasn’t even a spring game, I had wondered if they even charged for it because it was practice drills followed by a bunch of situational “scrimmage” type drills. Like starting from the opposing 30 with 1:30 to go and having to get a score. Very lame and I’ve never seen anything quite like it.
  15. Looks like everyone has to make up some ground on Florida after his recent visit there. Just get him on a visit!
  16. I watched a little of the Colorado spring game on the Pac12 Network yesterday. Main takeaway is that they have good WRs and they play really fast. They have 2 big WRs that move well despite being 215lbs+. It’s hard to judge line play since it’s vanilla but their OLine didn’t look crazy big or anything. The DLine has some 300+ guys on it though. Looks like they have 1 guy at RB and a bunch of JAGs. It also feels a bit like the Oregon game last year where, all things being equal, their QB might worry me the most on our schedule. He makes some boneheaded plays but he also makes some special plays and can run at 6’5” 230.
  17. Haha. I just meant that at the time, I didn’t care what his ratings were because everything about him, from his film to his quickly growing offer list, suggested he was better than a 3-star. Looks like 247 updated their rankings and he’s now a 4-star and USC wants him. Big time player.
  18. Clemson just offered. Sounds like he was a mid 3-star TE with decent offers until he made the switch to LB and now he’s blowing up.
  19. Probably unrelated to this, but Shaun King has some unfortunate, UNL related tweets going on right now and I saw an Oregon fan on twitter mentioned one of our recruits in one of them and then deleted it after a little while. I don’t know that it’s appropriate to post the tweets here.
