  1. I hear this guy is looking for a job. Apparently he scouts opponents thoroughly.
  2. Agree, 20 wins leaves a lot in doubt. If that happens they will need at least one good win in the tournament. 21 before the tournament should seal it.
  3. NW is definitely out playing us. Not saying it would matter, but why has the officiating gotten so bad in the B1G. Horrible stuff both ways not being called and then the occasional weird foul. Seriously some of the worst officiating I have ever seen. Even in the game before, just crappy officiating.
  4. Big opportunity tonight. Hopefully they are up for the challenge. GBR!
  5. In other words we haven't locked in a spot in the tournament yet. They are projecting us to finish as a 9 seed but we have to win more games for that to happen. Same can be said for literally every team to hold on to their current projected spot. Some teams do have enough wins right now to essentially guarantee they are in the tournament though.
  6. I get it guys. Most fans really appreciate him. But take a step back and look at our recruiting in the trenches. It has been bad. Besides us, Ethan had offers from SD and Ohio, that's it. We took him because he was a nebraska kid with a good frame. I watched him play quite a bit in high school against one of my son's so I got to see more than most. I wasnt a fan and honestly was surprised we offered him. He turned out ok and I feel terrible for his injury, but linemen of his caliber aren't going to get nebraska to the level all of us want.
  7. Anyone here attend this? I had a chance to umpire it but couldn't get out of work.
  8. Watch his footwork leading up to the pass, shadowing QB movement and then committing to the route with the receiver. Maybe not "incredible" but pretty damn good for a kid his age.
  9. Bad injury in October- isn't sure if he wants to come back for final year. Supposedly still undecided. I have never been a fan- he was lazy in high school for a good % of plays each game. He just never seemed like he had the drive to me.
  10. Maryland is 9-2 at home. Their only 2 losses were to 2 teams Nebraska beat earlier this year- Purdue and Michigan State. This would be a big win on the road! GBR
  11. Lol, going to have to pass on that. I just can't get behind a guy, or a team, that climbed to the top by breaking the rules. Their "turn around" lines up perfectly with their start of their rule breaking. JH was desperate as he was squarely on the hot seat. Some respect that he found a way out but doing it without integrity doesn't sit well with me and it casts a shadow over all the athletes that he took down that road. BS to me.
  12. Don't care for him or michigan. He got away with cheating, with a minor slap on the wrist. Won a championship and is now running away because more punishment is due. Screw that guy and their 1997 2nd place team.
  13. IF we start 6-0, and then have a bye week, I have a hard time seeing us lose to Indiana. A drubbing at Ohio state the following week makes a lot more sense as we would be approaching top 10 and ready for the reality check.
  14. It is a must win for Rutgers. It isn't a must win for Nebraska by any stretch- no road game in the B1G is. That said, if we lose this we fall right back on the bubble.
  15. This quote implied it imo - "I'm just glad the new coach didn't end up being Ryan Day. Or Dan Lanning from Oregon. If either of those guys went to Tuscaloosa, I don't think Alabama would ever lose more than one championship every 5 years." No stress, your perspective just seemed weird to me. On paper, everything suggests DeBoer to be the better hire. I guess time will tell if his system will work in the SEC.
  16. DeBoer beat Lanning twice this year, and once last year. Not sure why you think Lanning is superior? He has proven is his short time to be a great coach but there is zero evidence suggesting he is any better, or even as good as DeBoer imo.
  17. I believe he is adding MJ as the 6th making Rhule the 7th. FS, BC, BP, MR, SF, MJ and now Rhule.
  18. Everyone is entitled to their opinion... One thing to consider is trust. Money can't buy that and to build something special, a guy really needs to trust those around him. In my management career, I have had much better success with guys I develop, and trust, than hot shots brought in as a band aid. I think the same is true in coaching, and many other areas of leadership. Don't get me wrong, I have a hard time seeing Satt as an elite OC right now. That said, he has a tremendous amount of experience and with the right direction, he just might turn into what we all want.
  19. I disagree. Rhule is a development guy. He likes Satt as shown by his history of working with him and his willingness to bring him here. I really think DH is being considered to help develop Satt. I personally love the concept and Rhule's willingness to help his assistants advance.
  20. Wow, running away with it. Crazy
  21. Really wish I had peacock now. Smh
  22. Keep the updates coming please. NM, found live updates
  23. I find it completely surprising that many think we will never win another natty. Never... Seriously guys? With a 12 team playoff, it will be more difficult but never say never, especially with a team like Nebraska that has the type of support and financial backing that we do. I think a repeat of the 90s is highly unlikely but a natty here and there over the next 50-100 years? Absolutely possible.
