What do you think is the number we need to show recruits progress? I don't think 7 wins is good enough. Husker fans would have s#!t themselves in the past thinking about a 7 win season. Now we are like hey its better than 4 or 5 wins. Just because OUR expectations have lowered doesn't mean its good enough for high school kids with offers from other top P5 schools who are winning 9+ every year.

True. Moos may have let certain people in leadership know he was considering retirement. Leadership may have told him we may start putting feelers out there and if we can land a guy we want then you retire. If not you stay on through your contract.

There is a reason Alabama, Ohio State and those types of programs are consistently good. They are trying to recruit over their current players every year. How many 4 stars have transferred out from past classes? Or how many don't pan out? That is why you need the best possible class every year because you don't know if you missed on kids. Having a mindset of we can take a year off because we did good the last 2 years is not a winning mindset.

I agree they need to fix all those things. But they are getting paid to do them all. Including recruiting highly rated players. To fix the program we need wins, we need recruits and we need well coached disciplined teams on game day.

To me the NCAA needs to come up with a better plan. They had this idea that they were helping the players maintain eligibility due to COVID. Then the season happened. Now it feels like all these high school kids will get punished. If on average every school only takes 15 kids instead of 25. That’s 10 less kids by how many colleges? Just seems like a lot of high school kids will not get an opportunity to play college ball now.

That probably sounded good in your head and thought you would get a like or 2 by thinking your the funny guy. But I have just responded to BigRedBuster's comments back to me. So last I checked I am not arguing with anyone. But BigRed and I have had a few exchanges back and forth.

I am not saying they shouldn't do that if it works. Do anything that works bring kids here. I am just saying going into year 4 and we don't have any film to show kids from Nebraska says something. You can choose to ignore that is an indicator things have not gone well or as planned. Or you can say man we need to do better. Kids want to see current or recent success that shows THIS program is headed in that direction. I doubt Dr. Tom was showing Eric Crouch film from Turner Gill. I get it- show the kids what you want it to become. What I am saying is we are at the point we should have Nebraska film to show.

So Torres said the staff showed him film of Mariota and Milton. I think that tells you what Frost thinks of his offense at Nebraska. Still pulling out s#!t from 2014

I am guessing there will be some tough conversations with kids who have eligibility left but are non-contributors.

Some say 12 is too many. Until the day when Nebraska is the 12th team and gets a crack at the Natty. Imagine 2009 Nebraska with Suh sneaking into a playoff. Who knows what could have happened. Being hot at the right time.

How many 5 stars do we get?

It all boils down to winning. The things like cold weather don’t matter when you win. If we were winning like Bama we would be recruiting like Bama. Ohio State wins and recruits top 5 and last time I checked it’s cold there too. Maybe it’s hard to build a winner from the bottom in a cold climate once you win they will come.

I think some people are not interpreting your comments correctly. One guy says "we are a pipeline of OL". You are saying "no we are not a pipeline yet". Here is how I see it. We have done a good job recruiting OL while Frost is here. As good as could be expected from a program that has been in the dumps for 20 years. That position group is definitely trending in the right direction- perhaps trending in the direction of establishing a pipeline once again like the days of glory for Nebraska. But to say it is a pipeline already is ridiculous. We can acknowledge that OL recruiting is doing well- but it doesn't mean it is a pipeline. Alabama is an OL pipeline right now- we are not.

So your saying Lawrence is lucky Luke McCaffrey wasn’t playing for Clemson because he would have got benched for Luke?

It just goes to show you can twist stats to make a case for things that are not worthy of being compared. Lawrence vs Martinez is a joke.

But he also threw down field a ton. Not to mention they had the personnel to run the screen plays and have them work. Clemson also made you defend the entire field. The screen works a lot better when the defense is worried about down field passes, a running game. I don't have any problems with short passes when they work. My gripe with last year was throwing 30 of them a game and like 2 of them work.

I don't want to speak for Guy, but when he says 65% completion. I think what he is saying is 65% with a full passing playbook would be very good. Sure he was 71% last year but most of those were 5 yard passes. His completion percentage will go down and int's will go up if he is actually passing downfield. There is more risk and less completions doing that but we need that element added this year if we want to win more than 5 games. I would imagine if we passed more downfield his completion percentage would drop but his yards per game will go way up and so will TD's. The questions is can he limit the INT's

Little surprised we havnt had a commit with the spring game this weekend. Since I have followed recruiting my memory tells me we usually landed 1-2 over the weekend and then another one would pop on monday/tuesday after the weekend.

Early to mid may decision could bode well for Nebraska since he will have just been here for the spring game. Fingers Crossed.
