  1. Not being a smart a$$ but elaborate on what is promising with this staff? We have recruited bigger players. We lose a lot. What else do we know at this point?
  2. I read this to say Frost and Riley at this point are def worse than Callahan. After 3 years Frost is truly worse than Riley. At least in results. I guess time will tell if we are actually shifting the culture to a winning one or not. I never saw this coming with Frost.
  3. I agree for the most part but I think Michigan May be let down even more than us. Harbaugh came in proven at the college and pro level. I think the expectation was big ten titles and national titles would be coming to Michigan. They have won at a pretty good tick but have not hit the level most people thought given his credentials. I know we are let down but Frost wasn’t a proven head coach like harbaugh. Lots of guys are great at G5 and lower but can’t cut it at P5 and NFL. Not saying Frost is a bust yet— but it’s not looking good.
  4. This situation is odd. Bad look for sure. May be a forewarning of the lack of confidence some may have in our team
  5. Not all .95's are created equal. Some pan out to be 4 star or 5 star worthy. Some end up appearing over rated and are more 3 star worthy. Lets lock this guy up. So he is rated as pro style. But if we are looking at him I assume he has got to have some decent speed or wiggle at least?
  6. If your gonna lose you might as well have warm weather and chicks in bikinis then
  7. So if he goes there and does well does that mean super Mario sucks
  8. Agree. I see they have foreman and peter helping as volunteers
  9. I don’t understand what the heck is going on with football and b-ball. I thought 2 home run hires.
  10. If only we had a couple local 4 stars we could get to campus early and get them to commit
  11. I agree. If they are a competitor who wants to compete and win. I see why the look elsewhere. I wish they wouldn’t because it’s harder to get good again without as much talent as possible. But if a kid doesn’t want to lose- we are a bad option at this time. 4-5 wins every year is not inspiring
  12. Here is what I see. Many fans on here are frustrated and voice the things that are not good enough with the program. Then you have some fans who feel they need to defend Frost. Then what happens is it feels like Frost bashing but really some of us are in amazement how guys can ignore the negatives and make excuses for everything so we end up arguing. None of these guys do I believe want Nebraska or Frost to fail but they are very skeptical. Man after 3 years and 12 wins if you are not skeptical I gotta question your ability to analyze your surroundings and be level headed. You can still be a faithful fan and Frost believer. But at the same time say man I am starting to have doubts- my warm and fuzzies from 2017 UCf are gone. 20 years of thinking this is the year is gone for me and I refuse to make excuses for lack of results. I thought it would take a few years to build up the oline and we are there now so it’s put up or shut up time. For me it’s not just a win total, but do we look like a well coached team.
  13. I am hopeful we turn the corner this year. But I have lost hope and I am tired of getting burned by my high expectations that this is the year. I wanna see legit sustainable results before I get too excited. Some guys on here are just pointing out some legit observations but the sunshine pumpers think they are just being negative. I’m telling you some guys on this board would be making excuses for Frost if it was year 6 and we only had 20 wins. I think you see signs of Frost adjusting the types and sizes of players he is recruiting. So that’s encouraging. One thing I can’t decide. Will his scheme really not work or do we just not have good players. I actually think we don’t have good players and the scheme could work. Answer this. If we had Marietta, lamichael James, receivers Oregon had and solid oline would we be good using this system? I say hell yes. But we don’t. We have sub par oline, s#!tty qb play, no nfl talent at rb or wr
  14. Exactly. We have paid 15 million for like 11 wins
  15. I’m assuming if we suck again this year we will make more excuses and say year 4 is the new year 0. Pretty soon year 1 will be -5
  16. Seemed to me the best team we have had since frost has been here was the second half of year 1 with Riley’s soft s#!tty players
  17. I agree he has done good the last few years. Minus Dickerson. But we struggle as it is to get 4 stars players then actually keep them. I see most local kids being more loyal. So I hope to load up on the local talent to have kids we can count on
  18. If only zuckerburg ran this board, he wouldn’t allow these hateful conversations to happen
  19. So from now on we refer to the first 3 years of the Frost tenure as year -2, -1 and O. Now we are year 1
  20. I get it. But I think most fans hoped going into year 4 of the Frost era we would be getting these kids. Losing makes these things tough
  21. Exactly my point. Head in the sand fans jump to discredit Jaimes instead of asking is he full of it or more to his comments? He threw Adrian's name in so I wonder if it is not in fact a problem. Also- what did he say that isn't true? Our offense is a mess and I don't know any fan who watched this season and said "yep- we turned the corner and looked good this year". Defensive players are coming back. Offensive ones are not. It's a reasonable assertion to consider there may be an issue. Maybe that explains more why we are incompetent on offense. No one cares? Lack of leadership? Maybe the guys who tried leading had no credibility? Sometimes on this board we get lost in the weeds of excuse making. After 3 years we should not look like this. I think Moos agrees hence why he came out publicly and said year 4 it is time to compete for the division. Or do we think after the season if we go 4-8 again Moos will say well we played a hard schedule so its ok? Not a chance in hell- those are excuses. We play in a big boy conference with a year in and year out big boy schedule. Figure out how to maneuver it.
  22. I don't know. But it's common sense that every year that goes by and things still look s#!tty the players are not going to be "all in" trusting the coaches that their scheme works. Which makes it even harder to turn the corner. Some will see the comment by Jaimes and be defensive for Frost and the program and point their finger at him. But if him and other players feel that way- there is some dissention. A good year and winning makes all that go away. So lets figure out how to have a solid- winning season. Or I could see things starting to spiral.
  23. So this is an interesting question and comment by Jaimes who decided to go Pro. I wonder if this sentiment is mostly just with the offensive guys or the defensive guys as well. It seems like the defense is slowly progressing. But it sounds like Jaimes, Martinez and other team leaders were pretty disappointed with other players in the program. The Spun: You mentioned culture problems. Is that something still lingering, or do you feel like Nebraska turned the corner this past season? BJ: In my opinion, we didn’t turn any corners really. It was another frustrating season with things not clicking, and a lot of that started in the offseason. Older guys like me, Adrian and Matt tried to get those things right, but it just never clicked for some of those guys. As frustrating as it was, we had to go out there and continue practicing on Monday and get ready for a game each week. We did the best we could with the guys we had, but it just wasn’t enough.
