  1. ^^^^^^^ calling out someone for the worst post in history, with some of the worst quoting and formatting in history.
  2. I learned I might get to witness a bowl clinched in person next week since I am headed to Lansing!
  3. If I never see a 4th and 1 in the shotgun again it will be too soon.
  4. These boys are having some fun out here and are playing great defense after years of terrible football. Let the past be the past, they don't have to be mutually exclusive.
  5. I don't give a crap what Osborne would have done 30 years ago. Have some fun.
  6. The O is bad most of the time, those two comments just made me crack up. Glad we can hit a couple plays there.
  7. Had a coworker once put KY in his hand sanitizer container he paid for because everyone else used up multiple and wouldn't chip in. That was pretty funny.
  8. Makes sense from your point of views! Thanks for sharing. I've only had one experience in person there, and it was just last year. I admit I didn't pay much attention, or remember much from the campus, which probably just means it wasn't memorable. The stadium and fans were all nice enough, we tailgated in someone's yard with Purdue people.
  9. I love hearing opinions like this, can you tell us the reasons?
  10. I'm saying find guys who can throw the ball on a similar level, or teach them how. Someone who already had the mechanics and feel.
  11. But..... isn't the west side more roomy? How does that make any sense?
  12. You don't have to be heavily pass oriented to have success, you just need to be competent with a smart and capable QB. We can still focus on the run, but do well passing to complement. It is so limiting to be one dimensional and that is something we've long struggled with. We can get plenty of good enough athletes, don't need first round draft pick WR, to keep teams off balance and be able to pass when we need to. It absolutely takes better/consistent line play, and a solid quarterback. Doesn't have to be a 5 star like CJ Stroud, but why not a Brock Purdy or a Kenny Pickett? We can get guys like that and make this happen.
  13. Exactly, that's all part of being a QB and not just an athlete out there being asked to throw the ball. His athleticism and focus could be a real asset for him as say another TE to go with Fidone.
  14. The play call wasn't a bad one, it took them off guard as they were fully expecting run. Haarberg is just not a QB, which really isn't fair to him either that he's the only one on the roster basically who can help right now. Purdy has more potential as a passer (not sure exactly how MUCH more, but more), but he'd die behind our line since he isn't a runner. I think Rhule's done a great job to date, but his one huge mistake so far was not getting a better QB on this roster. The schedule has been ridiculously soft this year and it's a shame to not have a competent offense for the stretch run.
  15. http://espn.com/video/clip?id=38750365 Pat McAfee talking to Nick Saban. He's got a very simple answer for an easy fix here. Once again the NCAA is dropping the ball on simple improvements to the game.
  16. First of all, just because a rule exists doesn't make it correct or proper. Second, why must people put everything into the same box? You can have opinions on different subjects, it's allowed in America. These aren't the same thing, sorry it isn't all bibary like you want it to be For the record, I despise people whining about the refs, they're human and it's part of the game, and I also think this Michigan thing is over blown and dumb. We arguing over HOW they steal signs, and not IF, because doing so is totally legal and it would be stupid not to do so.
  17. While I think it is totally possible to change someone's mechanics, footwork etc. with proper coaching and enough repetition, I think it you have to factor in the mental side of such an overhaul. Can the subject handle it or will they become a headcase from the change and constant repetition with something new? An interesting paradigm that I have seen a few times over the years in golfers as I like that sport. Sure the swing can change, but what about the confidence and trust in that swing when it comes time to perform?
  18. It's the old joke, "the camera adds 10 pounds". Well.....how many cameras are on him?!
  19. Go Avs! New additions looking great so far.
  20. Sign stealing is allowed dude. Perfectly acceptable. We are only talking HOW they did it. Every single school does it, or at least is allowed to. If people aren't willing to push the boundaries of things to get an advantage, we might as well pack it up. We will have our boy scout badges while we go 3-9 every year.
  21. This is a non-issue IMO. Slap on the wrist for not following the rules about sending someone in person to other games, fine. But literally every school has to be doing this sort of thing with video, and probably through more discrete means with in person attendance somehow. If they aren't, they are dumb. The signals are right there, all game long, on video.
