  1. He is listed as one of our commits and we still sit outside the Top 50. Thus, we would need to get a bump on his grade and our latest LB commit to do so. In the end, these are just numbers/rankings. Bo knows players and where he projects them playing.
  2. Read this whole thread again this morning. If it truly is down to us, Penn State and Rutgers ... I just don't see any person in any of those programs that creates a perception of how DF fits into their program. At Nebraska, you can see a history of great athletes who have played the QB spot. Thus, if DF doesn't choose NU I'd be surprized. Penn State just doesn't have any histroy there like we do. There will have to be a few other factors that come in to play and are bigger then my perceptions. Read some updated on Rivals today on DF and Tommy so got me thinking about DF again.
  3. Anyone else have the HB small logo on the left overlapping the main Topic links on the left?

  4. Think of what this guy has done in his young career ... all the extra little things. He's a more complete player now then a Senior WR that graduated last year that was "a really good blocker" and now plays in the NFL. The best part ... a WR who catches the ball.
  5. I understand his comments. That's why we should have shut the door at 42-17. Instead, our next offensive series we went into a "prevent offense" ... and followed that up with a defensive display that certainly gave Washington and the entire media a chance to call this a "shootout" that was decided by a few bad calls. I won't fault him or them for that ... Lord knows we would have a few of those "immature" posters ranting over here for probably 2-3 freaking weeks.
  6. Flawed post ... "most of Husker Nation" ... "panic". I like the original thoughts, but his type of statement just goes the wrong direction. "Most" just isn't true at all ... and "panic" ... no way. Concerned? Yes. And if you can't see that then you aren't really watching the game.
  7. Final score ... 41-38. Didn't think it would be that close (ya, I took off the 10 points for the call that went in our favor). Congrats Huskers ... lots of possitives and lots of negatives ... but a W!
  8. We might be a Top 10 team offensively ... and a Top 50 team defensively ... didn't think I'd say that this season. Special teams? I feel sick after another win.
  9. Man, we just lost all the momentum ... this could get interesting again.
  10. I'd love to see a solid performance from here on out to really cement this victory, rather then a few calls that went our way be the difference.
  11. Missed an easy 6 there. Bummer, had the time ... just not patience or accuracy.
  12. DGB is tearing it up tonight against my old High School, as expected. 2 TD's and just started the second quarter. Guy is a beast. I'll try to post his stats after the game. Here's an article about the game. http://www.ky3.com/news/kspr-dorial-green-beckham-hillcrests-dorial-green-beckham-played-against-camdenton-20110917,0,1348342.story Here's a link to some video from the game. http://www.kspr.com/videobeta/?watchId=41256601-c8ab-4761-a434-9b0329264ff0 DGB caught 11 passes for 217 with two TD's.
  13. Upgrades are bummers for admins. Good luck guys. I know all the hard work it takes to get all the changes done.

    QB?

TMart is just fine for me ... now, why the hell he has put the ball on the carpet five times already ... I don't know what the answer is there.
  15. It would suck if this rivalry ended ... period. It really sucks that our rivalry with OU ended.
  16. OrangeBloods is reporting that OU is going to apply to PAC-12.
  17. Just another reason I'd love there to be a wait time before someone can post.
  18. Ya, this is what we've learned after the first two games.
  19. I get what you are saying. You should apply for Bleacher Report ... lots of bold predictions there. I get laughed at by someone also for most things I say ... welcome to life. Are there any odds on the 50 points? I'd love to wager $2000, that should about cover a new 60' TV. Either way, atleast one of us will have a nice TV to watch the rest of the season. :-) That's a bold prediction. Guess we will find out if you have a career in this ... or if you are just a fan who sees "RED" just a bit too much. Love the spirit ... we will find out how your X's and O's and analysis is this coming week.
  20. yeah? Which ones? If things don't improve a lot soon....wisc, mich, msu, Penn st., iowa..... Hell, maybe Washington.... That obviously is the worse case scenario, but not out of the question.... Wisc I can see. Michigan State is a maybe. Michigan? The team that almost lost to Notre Dame? Penn State? The team that got decimated by Alabama? Iowa? The team that just lost to Iowa State? Not sure I shouldn't be insulted, other than Alabama, Toledo is tougher than the other teams and Ohio State beat them. Either way this is week 2. Obviously you fixed something during halftime to begin containing them so I don't get what all the doom and gloom is about. My view has been that we will lose 3-4 games this year. What has surprised me is that the defense doesn't seem to be as strong as we thought it would be. On offense, we don't seem to open up any holes, the receivers don't catch enough balls and we still don't seem to protect the ball that well. Finally, the posts keep coming in to deflect us losing 5-6 that these other teams look bad as well ... the OSU's, the Michigan's, Iowa's ... well that's the point ... it seems we will lose 3-4 games this year ... and the B1G looks very weak ... which adds to the negative feelings about this team ... atleast from what I've seen these first two games. Agree with The Dude however, the young playmakers are certainly a bright spot on this team. Just surprised in the lack of blocking on the O and the lack or pass rush on the D line. Thought we would do better against these teams with less talent and our coaching would be better then theirs.
  21. I'm gonna assume that the lack of running with Rex and our promising RB's is the lack of confidence in the coaching staff that the OL can block and open up any holes. Fresno St. seemed to be the one with the power running game, opening up holes and shoving it down our throat. They softened up the middle with some dart throwing to receivers who caught the ball. Our rush from the outside opened up some massive holes leaving only LaVonte to tackle the runner after 8 yards. I loved how Fresno St. played their game. Obviously, we saw our superior athlete take the cake with some big plays today ... but the pure "bread and butter" of power football was that of Fresno St. ... we didn't even sniff it. We only went to Rex in the last drive to control the ball ... and did just fine. But outside of his two TD runs he didn't sniff leather at all. Actually kinda left me bewildered a bit. The Husker football I love ... I didn't really get to see last night.
