LSU freshman defensive tackle Davin Cotton has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal. The news was first reported by Shea Dixon of 247Sports and LSU confirmed the report, according to The Advocate. Cotton appeared in two games during the 2018 season, recording one tackle vs. Southeastern LA and two tackles vs. Rice. The Shreveport, La native was four-star prospect out of Evangel Christian Academy and was rated the No. 9 player for the state of Louisiana for the class of 2018.

Definitely gotta have Top 15 classes if you want to compete for championships. Barely cracking the Top 25 isn't gonna cut it. That said, over the past 14 years the national champion has had multiple Top 10 classes, including at least one in the Top 5. People can say all they want that stars don't matter, but data shows otherwise.

Relatively speaking -- and I know I'm getting way ahead of myself -- could we get a bowl bid at 5-7?

I almost hate to say it, but this team going through all of these trials and tribulations and pain and heartbreak will undoubtedly make them stronger as they move forward. In a way, I almost prefer that to it all coming easy.

I've never seen a worse display of "football" than I did in the final five minutes of this game. This was the epitome of the phrase "they pissed down their leg." I'm sick and tired of hearing how good they looked all week in practice, only to see the same old undisciplined sloppy play at gametime.

Blackshirts shouldn't be given out til several games have been played. Sadly, that's what it has come to. These guys are all so inconsistent that none of them deserve blackshirts.

At least the offense has a little spark to it. The defense is just plain horrible.

And how many NCs have they won?

Frost also can't expect to recruit 2 and 3-stars and coach them up the way he did at UCF and win consistently in this conference. If you want to compete with the Ohio States and Wisconsins and Michigans, you've gotta get majority 4-star guys, and that's not happening.

Won't be surprised to see some of these coaches bolt after the season as well.
